The Blue-eyed Demon

"Ruthven Highlord, THE BLUE EYED DEMON." was Ruthven introducing himself with one of his eyes already blue.

Ruthven's actions had caught everyone off guard, but as He didn't care much for their reactions he proceeded to sit down. A moment passed with Bergroar standing up in shock, but that didn't last long as Ruthven had suggested that he sit down.

The moment Bergroar had sat down, he cleared his throat in embarrassment before saying..." I didn't think I would get to see a true descendent of the Blue-eyed Demon with my own eyes." everyone nodded to his words, all except for Nicholas.

To the words of Bergroar, Ruthven had a dumbfounded expression on his face. He didn't understand what Bergroar had been referring to when he said Ruthven was a true descendent of the Blue-eyed Demon, but he still understood that he was been mistaken as his own descendent.

As Ruthven was in a daze, He was woken up when he heard... "Please I hope the food is to you like." from Bergroar. Ruthven didn't care much about his identity at the moment, but him being mistaken as his own descendent had made him angry to some extent, but he decided it be best if he ignored his feelings at the moment." I hope so too." he responded

Soon everyone was enjoying the food before them, but Nicholas couldn't even think of touching it." W-Why is he here?" were his thoughts as his hands couldn't stop shaking.

"Nicholas! Is there something wrong with the food?" His father, Bergroar asked.

"Ummm... Am sorry father, But you are going to have to excuse me?" was Nicholas's answer before leaving the room.

Bergroar went mad at this as could be seen by the fist he had secretly clenched under the table in an attempt to hold himself back. He soon apologizes to Ruthven for his son's actions." Am sorry for my son's rudeness." he said.

"Don't worry about it. " Ruthven responded as he put on a faint smile, and From then on the dinner continued without a hitch.

-----

"It was lovely meeting you Sir Ruthven." was said by the bowing Bergroar.

"As always, Lord Bergroar. " Ruthven responded in an attempt to sound polite even if that wasn't his intention. "

I hope you won't mind if you're escorted to your room?" while pointing at Elizabeth, Bergroar had suggested that Ruthven be escorted.

A smile soon grew on Ruthven's face as he responded..."But of course." but that wasn't the same for Elizabeth who had a pale expression on her face.

"I hope you Have a pleasant night Sir Ruthven. I still have businesses to attend to so am sorry to cut our meeting short." Bergroar said as He exited the room.

When Bergroar had left the room, a moment of silence came before Elizabeth spoke..."R-right this w-w-way Master."

For some reason, when Ruthven and the maid were on their way to Ruthven's room, Elizabeth walked ahead of Ruthven as if she feared Him.

"Are you afraid of me?" Ruthven asked, and this only made things worse as the maid soon slowed down to match Ruthven's pase, but she constantly shivered by doing so.

Their walk would continue in silence in their current situation, that was until Ruthven began moving closer to the maid in an attempt to understand her reasoning more... "Do you mind telling me the reason." he said.

The maid had a surprising reaction, but that still did change her fearful actions. She shivered as she slowly answered..." Th-that's..I... D-Demons."

Her response wasn't clear, but it was pretty obvious that Elizabeth had something against demons.

Ruthven had thought hard about why Elizabeth was afraid of him, but as he wasn't able to come to a conclusion he thought it'd be best if he didn't pry further. Silence followed them as they soon reached Ruthven's room.

With that load of thinking, Ruthven opened his door to Nicholas who was kneeling beside his bed. A surprised look was soon seen on Ruthven's face as this was unpredicted.

The maid, after seeing this could only think to leave as she understood that something important was about to take place." E-excuse me, Young Master, I'll be taking my leave now." She quickly said after bowing her head and quickly leaving.

"*Sigh* So what's going on?" Ruthven asked, and this was the response he got..."Am here To greet the Ancestral Demon."

With how Nicholas responded, it was pretty clear that he didn't have it in him to raise his head.

"Ancestral Demon!? why do you call me so?" Ruthven continued so with a wide smile on his face that had evil Intentions written all over it.

"Well aren't you the Blue-eyed Demon from the legends, The first true demon" That was Nicholas's answer.

Ruthven suddenly saw The young Nicholas before him and started to feel proud of him because of his smart and quick mind that had realized his identity so quickly, but even so, he still wanted to be sure of one thing... " Didn't Your family assume that I was the descendent of The Blue-eyed demon? What makes you think differently?" He asked with his hand on Nicholas's head.

Nicholas to this felt shivers down his spine as he thought that he might die, but either way, he responded..." It-it was your eye, Sir." Nicholas said.

"Oh what of my eye," Ruthven asked

" The Blue eyes you possess were first seen by the first demon in the world, the Blue-eyed Demon. Those eyes were later seen by Cute the current Demon Lord, but even so, the two eyes had to differ in some ways." Nicholas explained, but he was soon interrupted by Ruthven who asked. "What was the difference between the two eyes?"

While nodding his head, Nicholas continued.." The demon race had studied The Blue-eyed Demon for a long time, and From what had been discovered only a few words were enough to describe His gaze, and that was if God Himself was staring at you."

Ruthven commented on the discoveries of the demon race by saying..."Ohhh they've found that much? am impressed." He said before asking the difference between the demon lord's eyes and his.

This was Nicholas's answer to that..."The Demon lord Might have Blue eyes like The Ancestral Founder, but his eyes are only capable of Suppressing the demon race while The founder was capable of Suppressing Any Race that stood before him as was observed at the previous Great War."

"Hmm. I was able to suppress the human race last time, but I still haven't tested my eyes on demons. That's something I should look into." Ruthven Thought inwardly.

After analyzing the information given by Nicholas, Ruthven had one last question..."So you're saying The Demon Lord Has eyes similar to mine?" He asked.

" Ye.. yes" Nicholas responded as he felt the intent behind his words.

"Ohh really now...I can't wait to meet your demon king," Ruthven said as his eyes were brimming with expectations.
