Chap. 9 The End of The Traitors

Two hours before.

Jonathan stood at the vault door with Adam. Before going to the office, he looked at the last person to win over the mantle.

"Open the door," Jonathan ordered the doorman.

"Yes, sir." The guard rushed to open the door for Jonathan and Adam; behind him, several bodyguards came in as Jonathan's safety guard.

A chill pierced Jonathan and Adam's skin after the door to the room was opened. Someone was sitting in the corner of the room, hugging his legs. While the bodies of six other people lay on the floor in a terrible state. Bloodied and blue from freezing.

"Check those six people!" Jonathan ordered his men to check on them. Jonathan's personal bodyguards, numbering four them, checked the breathing and pulse of the bodies of five of Esteban's comrades.

"How?" asked Jonathan.

"Four people, including Mr. da Silva, have died, sir. Except for the young man on the other end. He's still alive, probably very critical at this point." Jonathan's bodyguard said.

"S-sir..." called out a survivor who managed to put on the thick coat that was the reason he killed the four comrades, approaching Jonathan. "Please get me out of here; I can't stand anymore. It's freezing in here." said the man whose body was shaking with cold, his lips were pale, and his hands were turning blue.

"Adam, get these bodies out and the two people still alive. Put him in the hospital, which is in critical condition. Call the police and report to them that he is the culprit in the murder of his four comrades."

"Yes, sir."

"Sir, Sir, why should I be responsible? Why should I bear everything." protested the last survivor while holding Jonathan's leg.

"Because you are still alive, the price of your freedom is the redemption of your life. Oh, even without this incident, you must also be in prison for a long time for daring to be corrupt in my company." finished saying that, Jonathan pulled his leg and kicked the man's body so as not to block his footsteps.

"Sir, sir, at least I won't be ensnared by multiple chapters with murder!" shouted the man hysterically. Two of Jonathan's personal bodyguards catch his body, trying to catch up to Jonathan.

Arriving outside the room, Jonathan stopped in his tracks.

"Adam, carry out my orders earlier."

"Yes, sir."

"Confiscate all the property of the traitors without exception. Be responsible and pay for their children's education, except for those who are married and have worked. Move them to a simple house in the name of their legal wife. Offer them a job that suits the abilities of the widows."

"Oh yeah, take all the treasures and property owned by their mistresses and illicit wives. I'm not sure they only have one wife." Jonathan added, giving orders to Adam.

"Yes, sir."

"Sir," Adam called.

"What happened?"

"In two hours, Miss Morris will land at the airport."

"So?"

"Sir, you don't want to pick her up?"

"You pick her up; I'm swamped today."

"Not my fiancé; why do I have to pick her up?" Adam grumbled.

"Don't grumble behind my back; you are my personal assistant, for whom I pay a high salary. Get her before it's too late," said Jonathan.

"I'm sorry, sir."

"Take the bouquet of roses that is on Miss Rodriquez's table. Tell Magdalena they are from me."

A smile appeared on Adam's lips. Apparently, his boss still had to think about his fiancé's feelings.

"Okay, Sir."
