Chapter 9

Alucard and Lelouch are currently on foot, heading to a nearby town in search of a horse-drawn carriage. Lelouch advised Alucard to dispose of the carriage given by the palace because the palace's horse-drawn carriage was different from other horse-drawn carriages.

After all, the palace's horse-drawn carriage was very luxurious. There was a royal emblem on it, so they left the horse-drawn carriage along with the corpses of the previous senior warriors to make it look like they were attacked by monsters so that even though the royal party found them, then they would think that Alucard and Lelouch might have died also brought by monsters as their food.

After arriving at the nearest town, they spent five silver coins to buy a new horse-drawn carriage. Lelouch paid for the horse-drawn carriage because Alucard only had gold coins. The salesman of the horse-drawn carriage could not give change for his silver coins. The city is not too big or arguably relatively small. Even the city wall is only made of wood, which monsters quickly destroy. Lelouch also did not allow Alucard to take the lion king on the trip because it would be too eye-catching. Moreover, this city is very close to the royal capital.

Fortunately, Alucard's ability also provides dimensional storage for the monsters created. However, the dimensional storage can only store ten monsters and requires a gold coin to open five more additional places in the dimension storage. Then, the price of dimensional storage will also increase in the next purchase.

Alucard keeps the lion and lion kings in that dimensional storage, so it only has space again. Then after getting the horse-drawn carriage, they didn't linger any longer and immediately set off again. After all, the city is very close to the capital, and it is too risky to stay here for a long time because the royal people have a considerable probability of finding them here.

Lelouch suggested going to Labyrinth City. The labyrinth city is quite far from the capital. According to Lelouch, they took five days to arrive at Labyrinth City. Lelouch chose labyrinth city because labyrinth city was a city for adventurers in the guild and was not tied to any kingdom. Moreover, the adventurer's city is enormous, and thousands of adventurers wear robes because of the work of scouts; thieves and wizards often wear robes, so Alucard will not be strange if he wears a robe there.

Alucard can also use lion kings and other lions on the streets of labyrinth city. After all, maze city also has many monster tamers carrying their monsters from Labyrinth City. The things in labyrinth city are also relatively cheap; even according to Lelouch, with a gold coin, you can already buy a reasonably small house in Labyrinth City. The food, weapons, and armour are also relatively cheap because adventurers are famous for their meagre money.

But not all adventurers have little money. After all, adventurers are also divided by class, which is from H to SSS and adventurer H is the weakest. Adventurers in the C rank can already get rich enough. After all, very few adventurers can be above the C rank.

Therefore, Alucard also agrees to go to maze city after hearing Lelouch's reason. Their journey began. During the morning and noon, they would board the train. Alucard let the lions guard the train while far away from the city. Then, in the evening, they will rest in the inn in the town.

Alucard sees cities in this world that are far from the earth where Alucard was before. The towns here have walls covering them and many pedestrians on the street. If someone were wealthy enough, they would have worn a horse-drawn carriage like the current Alucard.

Eating in this world is still very easy. In this inn, there is only a bun and soup to eat. Alucard asked Lelouch before the rice problem in this world. But Lelouch replied that rice was not in this kingdom. The weather conditions in this kingdom are not suitable for rice growth, so only the human realm in the south grows rice.

Alucard couldn't help but smile bitterly listening to this. Then, they immediately went back to his room to rest.

The next day, they set off again. But this time, they immediately stopped leaving at noon because they could only board the ship to pass the sea ahead, and after that, they would arrive at Labyrinth City.

Alucard saw from the horse-drawn carriage a very tall and strong-looking city wall. Even Alucard could see some large cannons lying coldly on the city walls. Looking at Alucard, shocked by this city, Lelouch smiled and said, "Master, this is Piros City, the richest city in the Kingdom of Knowledge. The city is also famous as a trading city because it is very close to the sea and land, which is very suitable for trade either by ship or merchant caravans on land. The city also has many merchants."

Alucard nodded in listening to this.

"Trade city, huh?" Alucard said as he looked at this city that looked very big.

Their horse-drawn carriage soon came to the gate of the city. After Lelouch paid some tax money, they continued to move forward, looking for a place to stay. Lelouch looked for an inn that seemed quite old; at the sight of Alucard, who was staring strangely at this inn, Lelouch smiled bitterly and said, "Sir, living in this trading city is very expensive. In a fairly good in, it takes fifty silver coins for a room a night. We need two rooms and have to use a gold coin for a night."

"So, it's better to stay in the inn like this. Overnight, it only costs five silver coins, and for us, it needs ten silver coins which is much cheaper."

Hearing that, Alucard nodded and sighed. At this time, Alucard felt that he had very little money. With a gold coin to stay overnight in this merchant city, Alucard was able to buy a small house in Labyrinth City. The price difference is very far. So Alucard is not picky anymore and rests in this room.

After the morning approached, Alucard and Lelouch waited in the harbour for their ship. Lelouch had previously sold his horse-drawn carriage for thirty-five silver coins, which surprised Alucard because the price was very high than the price of five silver coins when he bought it. Lelouch said to Alucard that it was the price difference. The price is below ten silver coins if the horse-drawn carriage is sold in another city. But, in this trading city, all the costs of goods will rise, so it will be very profitable to sell goods here.

But many people don't make that profitable trade here. Why? Because the price of all the things here is very high. They may be able to sell some things here, and then for the matter of housing and food in this trading city then; they have to pay a high price, the same as the profit they sold the previous goods. So, only wealthy merchants would dare to open a shop in this trading city.

A ship immediately stopped at the port. Alucard, Lelouch and several others carrying weapons or armour boarded the boat. They are just like Alucard, planning to go to Labyrinth City.

The ship began to depart and leave slowly. Looking at the port getting farther and farther away, Alucard sighed and thought he had finally left the Kingdom of Knowledge. But he will come back later and surprise the kingdom's people and avenge their previous actions of planning to throw Alucard into the Abyss Labyrinth.
