Back To Pooja

"Pooja! My lovely wife!" Agler called out for his wife.

"Agler?" On hearing Agler's voice, Pooja immediately comes out of the room. She was wide-eyed when she saw her husband again. "Agler!" She immediately hugged Agler. “Oh, I thought I would never be able to see you again.”

"I promised you, of course I will keep my promise," Agler replied while hugging his wife back.

“Eh, loser boy? Why did you come back here again? Who let you in! Get out of my house right now!” Diana immediately kicked her son-in-law out again.

"Mom, please don't be angry. You know women over the age of fifty are at high risk of hypertension and even heart attacks. Smile, I have a present for you!” Agler also gave money to his mother-in-law, the same amount as he gave to his father-in-law.

Diana stared at the money. “I-is this really for me?”

“Sure,” Agler replied with a smile. "So, can I bring my wife into the room?"

“Y-yes! Please!"

Agler immediately carried Pooja into her room while Pooja was still wondering how Agler could have that much money. "Agler! Put me down!” Pooja said when she reached the room.

"Why, Pooja? Don't you miss me? You know, last night I was cold sleeping alone. I need your warmth." Agler hugged his wife tightly. But Pooja immediately pushed Agler's body.

"Where did you get that much money? Did you steal? Oh, I know, you must have been selling drugs! Stupid husband! How come you never stop making trouble?” Pooja hits Agler with a pillow.

"Pooja! Why do you always think badly of me? I don't steal or sell drugs. You know I'm really scared to have to deal with the police." Agler denies Pooja's accusations.

“Then how did you get that much money? Do you think an angel will deliver it for you?”

"Yes, that's right."

"Hah?" Pooja gets more confused.

"Sit here first. I'll explain it to you." Agler invites Pooja to sit on the bed.

"Come on, quickly explain to me before I cut your throat with a machete!" Pooja threatens.

"Yeah, I'll explain." Agler started to sigh then said, “This morning when I woke up, someone named Ghani came up to me. He said that I was Mr Davidson's grandson then he invited me to come with him to meet Mr Davidson. Of course I refused because I thought he would set me up. But after that, he gave me 20,000 dollars.”

Pooja frowned upon hearing Agler's story. "Are you kidding me?"

"No, Pooja. I swear. Here, he also gave me Mr Davidson's address." Agler showed him the paper Ghani had given him.

Pooja reads the address. “Mr Davidson. Hmm, the name seems familiar. Is he the owner of the biggest jewelry shop in town?”

"Yes, that Ghani also said that. Do you know him, Pooja?”

“No, but I hear his name often. He's a very rich man. But, wait a minute, what does that man mean by saying that you are Mr Davidson's grandson?”

Agler shrugged. "I don't know."

Suddenly Pooja's eyes widen. “AGler! Are you really Mr Davidson's grandson?”

"I don't know, Pooja. You know I was born in an orphanage. I don't know who my parents are, how can I possibly know who my grandfather is. That Ghani could be lying. But…” Agler thought for a moment. "What if he doesn't lie?" Agler's eyeballs began to roll. "Pooja! If it's true that I'm Mr Davidson's grandson, does that mean I'll have a lot of money?”

"Of course! He is very rich. People call it a conglomerate.”

“Does that mean I will become a tycoon too? Oh My God! This is like a dream. You will become the wife of a tycoon, Pooja!” Agler immediately hugged his wife. They both jumped for joy on the bed.

“But, wait! I don't think we can be too happy. We have to confirm it first. Who knows they just framed you," Pooja said later.

"Yes you're right. But if he sets me up, I'll at least get $20,000 from him. Oh yes, this is to replace your money yesterday. Sorry if it's less than 10,000 because I've used it to get a haircut and buy new clothes,” Agler said while giving the rest of the money to Pooja.

Pooja gets emotional when she receives money from Agler. During their two years of marriage, it was the first time Agler had given her money. "Oh, you make me sad," Pooja whispered.

Agler smiled then hugged his wife. “I'm sorry that I often made you cry. But I promise I'll make you smile more after this," Agler whispered.

Pooja smiles back while wiping her tears. "Oh yeah, will you come to that address?" Pooja asked, glancing at Mr Davidson's address paper.

“Hmmm, actually I was afraid to come there. I'm afraid they're just setting me up. Do you want to accompany me?”

Pooja nods her head. "I will definitely accompany you."

***

In the morning, Agler and Pooja immediately got ready to go to Mr Davidson's residence. As they passed the dining table, Dalton immediately called out to them in a friendly manner. “My son-in-law, let's have breakfast together! Pooja, let's take your husband for breakfast before work!” Dalton said.

Agler and Pooja looked at each other, then they joined the dining table.

"I heard you gave Mama and Papa a lot of money last night, have you got a job?" Ellena begins to interrogate Agler.

"Yes, I've got a job," Agler replied confidently.

“What job pays you that much money on the first day? Are you also a lawyer like me?” Anthony said sarcastically.

“Do you think that just a lawyers can make a lot of money in one night? What is clear is that my husband also has the ability, so he can earn a lot of money from that ability.” Pooja defends her husband.

"Hmmh, I don't see any other ability of him besides sleeping all day," Ellena quipped.

“Hey, why are you guys joking with each other like this? Let's eat breakfast! You guys are in a hurry to get to work, right?” Dalton intervened in the daughter's argument.

They were silent and continued to eat breakfast. “Anyway, Agler, actually we are all curious about your work. Do you work for a big company?” Dalton asked a few minutes later.

"Yes, Papa. I'll definitely take you all to my workplace later, but I'm in a hurry right now,” Agler replied.

"Yes, I understand. You can't be late for work."

After that, Agler and Pooja said goodbye to go outside first.
