Chapter nineteen: The dream
Where am I? I found myself underwater, swimming forward without knowing where I am going. I'm serious, where am I? The deep-sea was as black as night, maybe the color of mud. Furthermore, I swam without using my arms. As far as I could tell, I swam by wiggling my body slowly. Despite my movement underwater, I was fast, faster than a vessel. On the bottom, white sand was dangling with seaweeds. Terrifying sea creatures jumped out of my face, but as I got closer, they swam away. Chapter twenty: One step ahead
"MaXabiere, MaXabiere, MaXabiere. Kid!" I was startled and jolted awake as Claes' voice screamed into my eardrums. I looked around, surprised. I was on the ground. Chapter twenty-one: Destiny awaits
I got bored laying on the bed inside the Recovery room. The good news was we're now preparing and training our magical abilities for the first step of our journey and I did not forget that there was more to come. I mostly wondered about my magic and every single Dragonslayer in the Enchiridion. How did I get these powers? I mean, it does run in the blood throughout generations, making some of the previous Dragonslayer my ancestors. It depends on the matter of time if the power would be awakened when a dragon has gone rogue. This always happens as if it is a curse. Chapter twenty-two: Dragonsmith
I truly don't know what's scarier, the part where Lenard was almost eaten by a giant squid or Lenard's terrifying scream in the Havadra jungle sounding like the agony of the lost souls. "I hate the jungle!" He kept yelling. "You'll get used to it, Lenard." Victor was trying to convince him to embrace the danger since we're warriors after all. The Havadra jungle was piled with twisted vines, tall thick trees, plants, and perfect hideouts for those unknown predators. Chapter twenty-three: A weapon needed
"Every weapon I make is based on every Dragonslayer's magic. It will take plenty of power and very rare materials to stabilize the steeliness and the hardness." Rhoamon told us once in his weapon-making room. On the top of his other huge munched table were concepts or scratches about his works. The weapons and armors were unique, far ahead of the information given to us from our history books of Fantasia. The weapons were impossible to craft. The handles were too different. The blades were pointy, spiky, and very painful to look at. The armors were covered with reptilian details, together with spiky breastplates, helmets, and boots. Chapter twenty-four: Too late
It was nighttime by the time I'm done training for the whole day with my new sword (Feels a bit heavy, but I'll get used to it, just going to watch my back if you know what I mean). Chapter twenty-seven: The Island of Glass
I had a dream again, but this time I was not dream-traveling. I was in a meadow. I'm not sure what I'm doing here, just sitting on a log while watching the flowers show off their rich and colorful petals. In front of me was a family; A father, a mother, a brother, a sister, and an adorable baby carried by the mother. Together, the couple sat on a blanket, watching their son and daughter chase one another. I was so jealous of them, so jealous of them having a normal life as I had before. Without magic, without monsters, without extra-ordinary problems, and most especially me being . . . the supernatural me. I did nothing.
