Kyle's POV I could really say nothing but just stare at Sam as she said that. I expected something like this to happen and that was my major reason for not letting them know that the friend I was coming over with me was a girl, at first. "Sam, be nice." Kyle's POV Just then, the doorbell rang. Carter blinked, her hands mid-reach toward the grocery bags. I looked over at Sam, who didn’t move right away. A beat passed, and it felt like we were all silently calculating who it could be. “Katherine?” Carter asked, a hopeful lift in her voice. “Most probably,” Sam said, setting down the items in her hands before moving toward the door. I picked up the bags Sam left behind and then followed behind Carter as she wandered farther into the apartment, the door clicking shut behind Sam after she opened it. Sam's place was neat—too neat. Kyle's POVWe all had dinner and a couple of drinks—maybe too much drinks. Cause by the time we went to bed, everyone was a bit tipsy. Sam's meal turned out to be great.
