It' is Time
The man looked no more than forty plus with his reddened face and alcohol reeking breath. His ocean blue eyes had a calmness to it that did not quite go with his other appearance well. Jayden stared at the man from his chestnut brown hair down to his very black shoes. No one would have found it difficult to tell that he was drunk. And also very pissed that Nova had turned but just him down but every other man that had walked up to her. "The girl isn't even worth wasting your time on, I mean look at her, thinking that she is so beautiful so we are supposed to bow down and kiss her feet rather than speaking to her. "I mean, sure, she is pretty but no woman is pretty enough to be treated the way she wants to be treated. Look around you," he swirled his hand around, pointing at the room, "almost every single man has walked up to her-- even the ones with girlfriends!-- but she has heartlessly turned them down. Pff! What a waste of time!" Jayden sta
A Turn in a Wheel
Elsie was anxious and somewhat impatient to just be over with that conversation already but unfortunately, her friend, Anna, did not seem so. Anna took her words carefully and slowly like she was trying to impress the president of the country with her words and induce him to listen to her entire sentence. She touched Elsie's laps softly and made her voice even softer than it was. "Listen to me, I know what is right. I have spent more time with Caspian more than you have-- and I am not saying this to make you feel bad or anything but-- Caspian feels more comfortable around me, believe it or not, and I know what he is thinking, what he has been thinking. "In the course of the last four to five days, Caspian has not seen you all because you don't want to stutter up when he asks you about his dad and I understand that but think about it! Your baby boy has not seen you in a very long time and he is starting to believe that it's because you don't love him. He said to me that if only he h
Mission in Ignition
The aura swirling around him was unmistakable. Francis stepped into the club, deep dark eyes taking in the mood of the entire club. His curly hair was full and done we're even left to fall over his good looking face. Most women would definitely fancy him as their type. His black eyes were like dark forces compelling one to come closer, his smirk was as flirtatious as it could ever be. He was dressed in a deep red shirt that had most of its buttons undone, revealing his chest. He had this look of a gangster to his face yet there was this sophistication in his looks as well. A calmness of a peacock as well as its pride. Jayden knew who the man was at once, there was no need for introduction. All that was left now was a way to approach him thoughtfully and carefully without blowing their cover. Nova rose to her feet without hesitation and whispered softly in his ear, "I got this one." Before Jayden could utter any words, she was off swaying her hips and moving with precision betwe
A Win-Win
Nova left the club with Francis, signalling to Jayden to alert him that the mission was already in ignition. She kept close to Francis, pretending to want his company more than ever. This made Francis feel so excited, sexually as well. He was always looking at her curves, her breasts, wondering how good it would feel to fondle them in his greedy hands. He was trying his best to hold himself from asking her to have sex with him right there in the street. He branched down a dark alley, his company for the night by his side, and led her carefully down the road. "Lean closer to me my sweetheart and hold on to me so you don't slip. There are also plenty of scary rats down here my little apple but don't worry, I will fight them off for you." Francis promised her. Rats? Nova tried hard not to scoff. How could he not promise her any other thing but protection against rats? Were the rats big enough to challenge her in a fist combat? Even if they were, she knew well that she could survive on
Little Reunion
Francis stood there, confused and afraid. His opponent was actually waiting for him to take out his phone and put a call through. What a scary man he was. But what was he supposed to do? Take out his phone and actually make the call? Pretend like was not afraid? Or try to settle the matter in a civilized manner? After all, the man standing in front of him was threatening him because he wanted something. He had better tried to make a bargain before things would get out of hand. He swallowed softly and raised his chin up, trying to take a stance of confidence. "Hey you there, I know you want something from me and that is why you are talking like that to me. But guess what? I am not going to be angry with you because we are both reasonable men. "Now tell me exactly what you want and I will give it to you in ten folds! Go ahead and make your wish. Money? Drugs? Liquor or even girls! I have access to everything and I am more than willing to give it
A Dagger
Days went by and Jayden had accomplished his first mission. Gathering all of the bastards that worked together to hurt his parents and erase them from the earth. It was time for they too to be erased from the earth for the sins they had done. Whether they wanted it to happen or not. They did not have a choice. The goons, all gathered together, were still confined to a room but were trying to find out the reason they were all kidnapped and what exactly they had done to make Jayden to kidnap them in the first place, not even knowing what their fate was in his hand. They discussed with each other, those who were not too hungry and tired to speak. The likes of Gabriel Fernandez and Francis who had been kidnapped first and second could not bring themselves to utter any words since they were very hungry and weak. Jayden was sitting outside the place, the house that Nova had set up for them to put all of the men and woman that were kidnapped.

A Dagger Through His Hand
Jayden had not expected such a thing to happen, he had just a breath to react to a dagger flying straight at his face. Nothing came to his mind at that moment, he did not even have the time to create a thought. But the second the dagger neared his face, his instincts kicked in and he caught it by the blade at the die moment. Literally a die moment because if he had not reacted then a dagger would have been sticking out of his head while he would have been lying down dead on the ground. Only after the sharp blade sliced through his skin did a realization come to hit him. Nova was standing right behind him so if he had decided to dodge the flying weapon then she would have died in his stead. The thought alone made him very furious knowing well now that his actions could have caused her her death even though he was only trying to save himself. Anger coursed through his veins as he raised his eyes from the cold steel within the hold of his palm and the man who had thrown it. Francis
You're Nothing Like Me
Nova was standing still where she was at she was at the entrance, her eyes fixed on the bloody mess right in front of her. She could not say she was surprised by the scene that had just played out in front of her because she was used to her boss’ cruelty since they fought together sometimes in battle. But for some reason, it seemed very disturbing to her at the moment. Not the blood, not the shrieks and cries from Francis, but the emptiness in Jayden’s eyes. It had been quite some time since she had had to witness his brutality even though this was just the tip of the iceberg. The main event for the day was yet to come and as much as she wanted justice for Jayden's parents, she was no longer looking towards the happening. She stared directly at it as it happened. Jayden had gripped Francis by the wrist and pulled his hand straight through the dagger, leaving a smooth and straight line between the man's middle finger and his ring finger. Blood poured down the now larger wound in hi
A House on the Beach
Elsie stood by the entrance of the beach, wondering why it was closed of all days to be closed. She was confused though because the waters of rose city was opened to anyone and everyone twenty four seven. Even strangers. So why was it suddenly closed down? Was it in construction or what? Even when the government of rose city were remodeling the small beach houses there, they did not close the beach. And now she did not even see any working trucks or architect or building technician anywhere near the place. The man she had spoken with had refused to go into details with her and when she kept pushing on with her questions, he had simply bowed his head and walked away. At least he was respectful... She thought to herself. "Mummy?" Caspian's voice cut through her thoughts and caught her ears. She looked down at her little bundle of sunshine and had to force a smile to her face. "Yes my dear?" "When are we going to go into the beach house you said we got?" He requested. She smiled n
On a Mission
Gabriel was silent, he stared at the domineering man in front of him while trying to hide the fear that burnt in his eyes. He was not going to back down, no, not even if the man before him threatened his existence with just a single smile. Jayden stood up straight, staring down at the man before him like a God would stare at a mere human. "What makes you think that you are anything like me?" Jayden asked him in a soft voice. Gabriel refused to be intimidated. He kept his gaze firm and strong. "Because i steal from people and so do you! I take people's lives and so do you! What makes us different then? Everything we do, you and I we do it for money, because it is our responsibility, what we we are trained to do." Jayden nodded his head in response and silence took over. Only after a moment later did he open his mouth to speak again. "So that's what you think. How many lives did you protect in comparison to the ones you have killed?" Gabriel was taken aback by the question. He sta
