James sat up slowly. He exhaled, shaking his head slightly. “No, Dad,” he responded, his voice firm. He didn't want to bother him with his family issues. “I just decided to lodge in for the night. Everything is fine. No quarrel at all.” Thomas looked at him. “Are you sure of what you are saying?” He asked, skeptical. “The last time we met I heard how she talked to you over the phone. “No, this is real,” James muttered, snapping himself out of his thousand thoughts. “It isn't some fantasy. It's really happening.” He nodded firmly, glancing around. Although he knew everything was really happening, he still expressed a bit of doubt. “Can't believe I'll be handling all of these one day. But look at me today, I'll start handling companies worth billions. Hmm…” He exhaled, slowly going lost in thoughts again. Before he could be swallowed by his deep thoughts, his phone buzzed up for an incoming call. Snapped out, he reluctantly pressed the answer button. “Hello, James. Where are you?” Olivia asked, her voice low, seemingly half awake. “It's already too late and you aren't back home.” James sighed slightly. And a faint smirk escaped his lips. “Really?” He exclaimed, his voice calm but bitter. “Why are you asking like you truly care?” Olivia scoffed. “And who told you I do?” Her voice raised with sharpness, cutting the air like a sharpened blade. “I don't give
