Chapter Two“I know you can never amount to anything,” Mr. Jackson sneered, his words laced with contempt. “Yes, I warned my daughter about you, but she doesn’t listen.” He turned his attention to Sandra, his voice dripping with scorn. “I told you this man would never amount to anything. I received a call from his office that they just terminated his contract. Even the money he earns isn’t enough to feed himself, let alone support you and cover your expenses. You mentioned he was going to fund your birthday party on Saturday. Did you even stop to consider whether he could fulfill that promise?”“He will fail because he is a magnet that has being destined to attract misfortune everywhere he goes,” Mrs. Jackson interjected, adding her voice to the chorus of disapproval.Sandra’s face went pale. She looked from her husband, to her father, then back to her husband. An unbelievable expression etched her face as she found it difficult to believe what her ears are hearing. “I — I don’t know

It’s satisfying to have someone to boss around,” she confessed, planting a loving kiss on her mother’s cheek. With a purposeful stride, she approached Salvador and effortlessly flung her bag towards him.“Let’s go,” she commanded, and Salvador obediently followed her instructions. They made their way to the garage, the tension between them evident. Without a word, Salvador opened the car door for her, silently acknowledging her status as the one in control. Chapter 5“And what the hell are you discussing with her?” Sandra exclaimed, her finger pointed accusingly at Alexa as soon as he approached her. Alexa sighed and disdainfully rolled her eyes before turning and heading towards her car.“Did you see the insult you brought upon me? She only had the audacity to do that to me because you gave her an audience. You didn’t even have the decency to respect me as your wife!” Sandra’s voice grew louder as she yelled.“Are you jealous right now?” Salvador questioned, his words slipping out before he could fully process them. Sandra, taken aback by the unexpected comment, burst into laughter.“You must think you’re some sort of king? Jealous? Of whom? You?” she chuckled, her voice laced with sarcasm. “You two are seemingly more compatible, but you should at least show some respect for me whenever we go out,” she retorted.“But please remember, I am not here as your husband, I am here solely as your driver,” Salvador replied, his tone neutral as h

I expected you to beg me,” Sandra admitted, her tone now tinged with regret.Unshaken, Salvador maintained his composure. “I can’t continue working as your driver.
