Nothing But A Trash
While on the call, a knock sounded on Jessica’s door. The banging was so loud that it even got her five-year-old, Caspian, woked up—scared."Who’s that?" Jessica snapped angrily, her hands still gripping tight on the phone she had been holding previously, making the call with Hazel. She rolled on her wheelchair, went to the door, then opened it. Opening the door, Abigail barged in."What’s taking you so long to open the door? And by the way, who are you even talking with on the phone?" she asked, glaring at Jessica with a dagger gaze. "Don’t tell me it’s that witch of a lady called Hazel," Abigail added with a frown on her face, chuckling."Well, I’m here to inform you about the party," Abigail said after some moment, moving her hands over Jessica’s wheelchair as she stood behind her."Party? Party for what?" Jessica asked, confused."Well, the party is actually for the steel manufacturing company. I want to celebrate the breakthrough we have. You well know that if it wasn’t for Deric
Return Of Morgan
After dressing up, Jessica walked out of the room. She made sure she put Caspian to sleep, her wheelchair rolling on the ground as she picked the pan to begin serving the guest who was all around. The party was so loud that Jessica feared Caspian could wake up."Thank you, all of you all, for making it up for the party," Abigail's voice sounded from the front. Everyone's gaze shifted to her as she made the speech."You well know the main reason for hosting this party, right?" Jessica asked before continuing. "Those that didn't know, I want to make it openly. Well, something happened that made one of my most precious companies want to go lockdown, but because someone came in and helped, everything is now settled. So, I decided to host a party just to celebrate my success." Abigail spoke with heartfelt words. She didn't even mention Jessica's name inside. She shoved her aside.Hearing Abigail's speech, everybody began clapping."Thank you, thank you so much. I really appreciate," Abigai
A Side To Regret
"What?" Jessica got surprised, holding her chin, her fingers bleeding."Yeah, that’s what will happen again and again if you ever yell at me. And I promise to do worse to you if you keep daring me."What had come into Isabella these days? She wasn't like that when Creek, Jessica's father, was still alive. In fact, Isabella was one of the sweetest siblings Jessica had ever gotten, and she loved her. What had come to the change? Jessica was so struck in shock, seeing how unbelievable it was, feeling the slap coming from someone she was way older than.Just as Jessica was staring at Isabella with an unbelievable gaze, Caspian ran, coming close to his mother."You arrogant fool! Why will you slap my mother?" Caspian yelled, his sharp little voice capturing a few people's attention. Even Isabella's friends were shocked by the way the little kid stood firm, he stared angrily at Isabella."You little spoiled bastard!" Isabella yelled, the rage clouding her mind. She stretched her hands towar
Question With No Reply
Morgan appeared very tattered and dirty. In fact, the cloth he was wearing was shabby and looked messed up like a person who just came out of a bin. The crowd thought Morgan must have been a mad man who had just mistakenly gotten into the mansion due to the aroma of the food. Curiosity, guilt and confusion invade into Abigail's mind forcing her body to push into a state of numbness. Abigail ordered her securities to take Morgan out of the mansion, painting him as a madman who had missed direction, ending up inside the mansion. “Securities, take this mad man out of here. How did you even allow him to get here in the first place? He's ruined the party,” Abigail barked angrily with a raging voice, it was obvious that she was scared of Morgan's presence. One of the guards quickly walked towards Morgan, and just as he was about to touch him, Morgan grabbed him by the hands, then slammed him onto the ground. The speed at which Morgan uses was mind blowing, keeping everyone stunned who ha
Pain To Be Held
“Stepmum, I don't know what you are talking about. I myself am confused on how Morgan was here yesterday. You told me he was dead, and you said the police confirmed that to be true, but the body wasn't retrieved. That's what you told me, right? Why are you accusing me wrongly of something that's impossible,” Jessica replied, her voice stammering as she found it difficult to speak.“Oooh, so you think I'm joking, huh?” Abigail chuckled with a scoff. “For ruining my party, I will have no choice but to punish you. From today, Jessica, you won't be staying in the mansion with us anymore. I have arranged a place for you outside. Though it's close to the pig and cattle farm, I just hope it fits your insolent character. So get your things packed right away and move in as I speak, because if you resist and try to protest, I will have no choice but to send you out of the creek residents entirely to the street, where you'll beg, and starve to death.”“But stepmom, this is my father's house, an
Dying Twice
Jessica stood ice cold while staring at Morgan as he walked forward. Morgan darted his eyes round the room as he stood, the room inside the abandoned house which had been offered for Jessica to stay by her stepmother, and he was already getting pieced off by everything he saw, from the disgusting foul–smell and the punch holes all around the walls on the room, combined with the faint sound of mosquito echoing."Why have you come to see me?" Jessica asked, staring at Morgan, while sitting on her wheelchair, Morgan slightly shifted his gaze, as he glanced at Jessica from behind. "I have come to see my wife, as usual," Morgan replied, then fully turned and faced Jessica head on. "I can't believe your stepmother chased you out of your father's house, giving you this shit hole to live in. She didn't even consider Caspian as a child, who on earth could be this wicked," Morgan spoke in a heated tone, his brow furrowed, and his fist clenched in dismay."I don't have any other choice than
Pain Drifted
Jessica was dazed as to what Morgan had said to her. With surprise and shock, she said, "So you were not dead all this while?""Yes, I wasn't. I was just in hiding. All the rumours of my death were all a lie," Nathan replied, grinning."Can't believe this," Jessica murmured to herself in disbelief. "You made me mourn you. I cried for days. I was confused about what to tell your son. He kept asking me of you every night. Why the hell would you do such a thing? Why fake your death?" Jessica barked, tears began dropping from her eyes."Am sorry. I did that just to get away from your stepmother's troubles," Morgan replied, then moved closer to Jessica and kissed her on the forehead."I have always loved you, and I will never stop doing that. My world is nothing without you," Morgan sweet words resoluted inside Jessica mind, sending a wave of relief down her spine. Morgan gazes was just an inch from Jessica's face. What Morgan had explained to Jessica earlier about his death was all a lie
Doubt To Be Cleared
Morgan walked to the door, and he could feel Jessica shrugging her shoulders, a sigh of craving for Morgan to be with her, but Morgan had no choice—he had to stay hidden for the time being. The door closed shut, and Morgan disappeared out of sight.Jessica took a deep breath, then stared at her hands as she spoke softly, “I'm glad it's truly Morgan. Thank God he's alive.”Jessica had been having doubts if it was Morgan, but as she saw for herself and heard with her ears, she was relieved, and she could feel the love she once had for Morgan igniting rapidly inside her heart like a flame. Jessica wheeled on her wheelchair to the room Caspian was sleeping in. She stood from the wheelchair, using her hands to support herself, then laid close to Caspian, her hands running over caspian hair, as she breathed softly into his ears, then gradually, her eyes closed as she finally gave in to the sleep waving at her. The next morning, Abigail was sitting on a sofa, her leg propped on the table.
A Thought Of Despair
Nathan chuckled with a short laugh before responding, “Hold a minute. Are you referring to the other day we came to the mansion disguising ourselves as police with fully dressed uniforms, to take a man away?” Nathan asked.“Stop asking foolish questions and answer my damn question,” Abigail countered, already getting frustrated by Nathan.Nathan was surprised as well. It was hard for him to believe what Abigail was saying. He had made sure he executed Morgan perfectly—he even took a picture of Morgan’s corpse as proof. Hearing Abigail asking him questions now got him daft; he was dazed as to what to say.“Ma’am, I swear I made sure I killed the man as you had requested. Did you forget I sent you a picture of him, capturing the hole of a bullet that passed through his head?” Nathan responded, confused through the phone.“Then how the hell is he alive? Are you playing tricks on me? Did you collect a bribe from the man I told you to kill?” Abigail asked again.“I’m telling you the truth,
A Pain To Accept
“My sweet Isabella, come closer to me. You are my perfect daughter,” Abigail said, smiling. Isabella pushed forward, then came close to Abigail, hugging her while grinning. Abigail gently ran her hands over Isabella back as she spoke, slowly. "You have been here throughout the process of my plans. Me giving you the company I had collected from Jessica wasn't a mistake but a gift for your perfect prediction and guidance.""Hehe, what do you expect, Mum? It's me, the perfect photocopy of you. I will do anything to please you, Mother," Isabella replied, her grin as devilish as a devil."By the way, Mother, isn't that cripple supposed to be here cleaning the house?" Isabella asked, raising her head as she stared at her mother."Yeah, you just reminded me. I will send off the security to go get her in the pig house where she lived," Abigail laughed, after referring the house where Jessica lived as a pig house. Isabella laughed as well, then adjusted herself on the sofa she was seated on.
