Return Of The Discarded

"Jessica, this man you see here has been a devil in our midst for a long time. Do you know why he left without telling you?" Abigail asked with a somber. "It was because he was too ashamed after being caught in the act, too abashed to face you. his a thief and he deserves to be put behind bars," Abigail added, her face fumed with irate. "What?" Jessica was dumbstruck by Abigail’s words. Ever since Morgan left, she had never for once known the reason, and now, hearing her stepmother’s explanation left her confused, making her despise Morgan the more. At the same time, it gave her more reason to divorce Morgan immediately having nothing to do with him."Morgan, is that what happened? I can't believe this," Jessica said, a wave of Disbelief stroking her spine as she felt her hands shaking, her lips trembling. Five years ago, Jessica’s company had been threatened with seizure by another firm, claiming she had violated certain agreements. Fraudulent activities had been traced to her comp

"Morgan is dead," Abigail broke the news, shifting her gaze to Jessica, her lips trembling, her hands shaking, making the pretence look so real as if she had not known what she had done, in the elimination partake on Morgan. "What do you mean by Morgan is dead?" Jessica responded in Disbelief finding it hard to believe what her step mum had just said, her glare was as confused and sharp towards her stepmum as her heart began melting. She slightly stood from her wheelchair, supporting herself as she quickly grabbed the phone from Abigail's hands to hear for herself."Hello? Please explain the situation. What do you mean?" Jessica spoke into the phone with a panicked voice, requesting an answer from the unknown caller demanding to repeat what he had said earlier."What I said was that Morgan is dead," the voice repeated itself."Dead?" Jessica couldn't believe it as she finally heard the news from the horses mouth. The word "death" hit her hard making her feel a surge of pain piercing

Within some minutes, Jessica was seen rolling on her wheelchair as she got closer."Stepmom, did you send for me?" she asked, her voice still cracking from the shock of yesterday. She looks so burdened, her face sad as the sorrow of Morgan is still fresh on her mind. "Yes, I did," Abigail replied. Her face was so dimmed and darkened, expressing contempt and disdain at the information she had just heard and seen from the barrister who was sent to deliver the information to the Creek family."Jessica, I want you to look forward. What do you see?" Abigail demanded, gesturing to Derick, the lawyer who was seated just a few meters away from Jessica."Yeah, it's a human," Jessica replied, not yet realizing what was going on.With a sigh, Abigail shook her head as she saw that Jessica was so clueless about the situation."It's a lawyer, you fool!" Abigail cut in. Her voice was so loud that it made Jessica snap; her body slightly moved in fear. She then handed her the letter that had been gi

Abigail patted Jessica on the shoulders before walking out on her. Jessica remained frozen, her hands trembling. Why did she even sign the document? Have they bewitched her or what? Jessica was so shocked into thought that she forgot to blink. Her eyes got so dried that she began feeling some itches of pain on her eyes.“Ma’am,” a voice sounded, snapping Jessica out from the state of ice-cold thought she was soaked in.Jessica then turned to look at who it was, and Immediately her eyes caught up to the person, she smiled.“Ma’am, is everything okay?” the voice asked again. “Hazel, I’m fine thank you for asking,” Jessica replied grinning. “Are you sure? You don’t look so fine as you say, ma’am,” Hazel responded, doubtful. She held Jessica’s wheelchair then pushed it gradually to the kitchen where they had been together cooking.Hazel was an old maid in the Creek family mansion. In fact, she was the one that took care of Jessica at her tender age. She was the one who had been througho

The next morning, Jessica was in her room embracing Caspian softly as he breathed smoothly into her hands. Caspian had decided not to sleep in his room alone, so he insisted on sleeping in his mother's room. Waking up from the bed, Jessica stood up, got on her wheelchair, and went to do the chores, which she feels joy in doing every morning. Ideally, hazel was supposed to be in the chicken, probably with the other house helps, but she wasn't.When Jessica went to the kitchen, she noticed hazel wasn't there. It was another chef doing the cooking, and this chef was a new one; she haven't for once seen this specific face in the mansion. It was her first time seeing this lady."Hi, who are you, please?" Jessica asked, politely and a little bit confused, her gaze fixed on the newly employed chef. The maid turned and looked at Jessica weirdly. She didn't notice at first that someone was standing behind her; neither did she know who Jessica was. "Excuse me, please, who are you?" The new che
