We finally Meet, David Hart
"Okay. Now I know why it's called fuck land." Eden spoke. "We're fucked either way." Eder completed. At that, the tree roared, a monster in its mightiest form. "This is beyond nature." Meena spoke, her voice hinting awem "We split up. David, Meena. You two find the tree. The rest of us will take on that thing." Colleen instructed. "Sure. Meena, need help?" He asked, but didn't get a response, she had already gone invisible. "Just fucking hurry up. We've got a tree to find." Dana spoke, dashing forth. A branch of the tree came right at her and she dodged it. She struck her Katana against it, slicing it into halves immediately. David took to the air, he scanned around for the tree of life but all he saw were rows of trees lined differently. He shook his head. How was he going to identify what he had never seen? He looked below and saw his friends engaging the monster tree. He pondered on joining them, ignoring Colleen's advice. After all he was immune to the toxins. He refrained
The Tree Of Life
Meena, taking her invisible form ran through the forest, her consciousness shaky at times. Constantly seeing broken bones around, she hurried, reminding herself that could be her fate if she didn't proceed fast. She looked behind, the tree monster was still in battle with her friends while David was in the air. She saw from a distance how a giant bird made of trees swooped in to attack David and wanted to yell, she wanted to scream, shout and warn him but she couldn't. She also had other things to worry about like the deadly plants around her. Barely a few minutes later, she stopped before a large tree. One that stood with poise and Elegance, radiating an aura that seemed to spell its greatness. She looked at the branches and leaves, awed by the beautiful linings on them. She took a deep breath and intended to run up the tree, grabbing a branch or two at once. "Your disguise shall not fool me child." A voice spoke, causing her to stop her sprint. She looked up, sure the voice was
So, what next?
The Dark One emerged from the vortex,. meeting Orebon who knelt as he saw his master. The Dark One, eager to hear the news told him to rise. "Yes, my Lord." Oregon spoke. "What news do you bring to me?" He asked. Oregon did a mock bow, grabbing one fist between another. "They have found it. They have gotten the branches of the Tree of life." He responded. The Dark One chuckled, a low laughter so strong that it had Orebon shaking albeit momentarily. "That bastard named David Hart. He really is doing it." He spoke. He settled on his throne, flaying his robes forward. "You are expecting me to say the words?" He asked. "Yes my Lord. Your word comes before my every action." The servant responded. "Good." He spoke. "In that case, go and get them. Kill them all except for him…and her." "Your words are my enactments my Lord." Oregon responded, morphing into a large Pelligrine Falcon. He swooped into the portal before him, leaving a small trail of feathers which made the Dark On
It depends on what you feel, David Hart.
"You son of a bitch." David screamed, balancing himself. He looked around him, sick to the stomach. He turned in the direction of Orebon once more and the latter laughed, angering him. He squeezed his fists tightly and frowned, grinding his teeth hard against one another. He was angry, he was going to kill him. However, he stopped, coming back to his senses. His friends still laid on the floor, dead and scattered like insects. He swallowed his anger and shut his eyes. The interface appeared before him and he chose the time travel ability, feeling himself immerse with time. He looked around him, the void and space surrounding him lined with Neon light and patterns. He felt himself stop and looked around, finding himself among them, minutes ago. His eyes darted towards the sky and he saw it, the giant Falcon. Not taking a second more, he rose in the air, colliding against it, causing a shock wave that scattered trees, the building and his friends around. Luckily for him this time, th
I'm done running from you
"I'm fine." Meena spoke, turning over. David stood above her, worried. He had thought the worst happened to her. "Don't just die on me." He responded with a sigh at the end. "I won't." She replied. Colleen walked up to him, placing a palm on his shoulder. "Thank you." She spoke, addressing both of them simultaneously. She helped Meena up and they were met by the twins. "Is nobody going to give a shit about me?" Dana yelled, getting up. "You just have to be dramatic." David snickered. They all rallied together, fit and recovering from their injuries. "So, that wraps it. We now know The Dark One is tied with this whole ordeal." David announced. "Why would he send Orebon after us?" Eder questioned. "Do you have to ask the stupid questions? It's obviously for the branches of the tree of life." Dana replied. "The why isn't the question to ask. What is he planning to do with the branches of the tree of life?" Meena asked. "Beats me. Any way, we have a target on our backs now. We
Conrad, he's a monster
FLASHBACK TO THE PREVIOUS NIGHT."There's something I have to say, it's about the Dark One." Colleen spoke. "The Dark One? What about him?" He asked, puzzled. "We can't beat him, he's too powerful, this is probably what he wants, all of us giving everything we can until we die like pathetic little pigs." She replied. "Colleen. I get it, you and him have history together that you don't want to share, but have faith for once. We got his century old desire in three days of searching and we just survived his second in command. Maybe you should have a bit of faith." David spoke, holding her shoulders softly. "It's not that." She spoke, brushing his arms off hers. "Then what is it?" He asked. "Conrad. His name is Conrad, and he is my brother!" She dropped the bomb shell. He paused, shocked. Surprised even. "You're saying you two are flesh and blood or related by name?" He asked. "We're siblings." She responded. "Wow, how the fuck did I not see this coming? Our first argument, where
Level 20(The fight just began)
"Does it matter? What matters is that it all ends today." The Dark One responded, a long sword made of dark matter appearing in his grip. "You die." David wanted to attack him, battle ready, but paused, seeing Ares tagging beside the dark one. He had to be smart about this. Irrationality would get him killed. He glanced back at his friends who were now less afraid of the two monsters before them. "At least they will fight." He thought and glanced back at both men. He looked into his features, his force resistance and enhancements were already below 10%. He hoped they were enough for his mission. Just as he made move forward again, Colleen jumped in front of him, abruptly halting his movement. "What the hell?" He muttered. She faced him and signified for him to keep shut. "You know the dramatics will not change a thing, don't you?" The Dark One spoke. "Conrad." She called. He fumed. "Do not call me that name!" He bellowed. "Fucking listen to me, Conrad. I know you desire David
Level 20( The Fight Continues)
"I can not betray him." He replied. She scoffed, turning away from him. She unsheathed her sword and rubbed her fingers down the side. She looked back at him, giving a mischievous smile. "I thought you were willing to deal." She spoke. "Yes, I'm willing to make a deal with you, but I'll not betray him." He replied. She chuckled and placed the sword on the floor. "You know, back in Noctura, my hometown. I was meant to be the priest. I was the finest of all youth. Trained in battle and spiritual knowledge, of course I'm meant to be at the top. But here's a secret even my parents and the town leadership Council don't understand." She stopped, nearing him, her face right opposite of him. "I was trained in everything, including torture and how to kill anyone or anything. So, would you like to test my torture skills, or you would want shit the easy way?" She whispered towards him. His eyes widened. She had an entirely different countenance now, like a new, devious personality had wash
Level 20(Maybe it's over)
"Not again." Meena groaned and drew her sword, gripping it tightly while taking a battle stance. She took a step forward, instantly swinging her sword low and decapitating a Demon that had crept through the bushes. She jumped forward and slashed at another Demon's head, then kicked a third. She whistled, beckoning her Bison which charged at her. She jumped out of its way and it bulldozed through the array of Demons that stood ahead of her earlier. She finished slaughtering the last of the Demons and sheatged her sword once more. Just then, Gandu called out to her, and she replied. "What is it?" She questioned, crouching before the wounded man. "I'll also let you in on another secret. If you kill Ares, you practically off Conrad." He spoke. "Interesting. I feel you're still holding something back. So, I'll make you a deal. Tell me what it is." She added. He sighed and rose. "Colleen. She's Conrad's sister and Ares's daughter. If she lets the dark essence take control of her and Ar
Level 20 (We lost)
"Come on, you weaklings." Ares beckoned them, drawing his sword once more."If you won't bring the fight to me. Fine, I will bring it to you." He added, and charged towards them. Colleen equally charged at him, preparing to slam her blade against him. He quickly spread his palm and short, sharp spikes of dark energy emerged, which caused her to pause, using the Kusarigama's blade to cut them off. Dana overlapped her, slamming her katana onto his skull. It bounced off and she quickly made another sharp hit to the neck, causing his skin to hiss loudly. "He seems to be taking the hits pretty well on the neck." She yelled. Eden nodded, jumping from behind to strike his Sabre in the god's neck. To his surprise, Ares caught the blade, grabbing it from him and slammed it into the floor. "Do not put your eggs in a basket." Ares mocked and pounced forward. They all rolled away, spreading out well enough to flank him, a move they had now gotten accustomed to. Colleen made the first attack, s
