"Maybe I'm not Invincible"
"Dana. I'm about to ask you for a favour and I know you won't like it." David stated"Go ahead, shoot." She shrugged her shoulders."Okay. Just promise me you'll at least try to do it." "You're such a baby. Alright, I promise you I'll do it." She replied. "Thanks. So…I'll need you to return to Ladus." He spoke."What are you trying to do?" She questioned."Relax. I'll only need you to help me get Audrey home. We all know it's me Zelda wants, not the kid, and I can't attempt to leave there with the kid or the rest of the guys, we're all game already. I'll need you to summon Tigra now. Once I get her away from Zelda, you move as fast as you possibly can to Ladus."She frowned, folding her arms. She didn't like the idea of running, but she understood his decision to keep the child away from the oncoming battle. "Alright, I'll do it." She stated."Good, so can you summon Tigra already?" He asked. "Oh, I've summoned her already, she's on her way." "Mind me asking how they get to move
It's a fight to the death
Barely a day later, Audrey and Dana arrived at Ladus and hurriedly settled to relay information to Doctor Enitan and Gandu who had awaited their return. The remaining Beasts still set a perimeter on the from entrance of the town while the knights spread themselves thin, guarding every entry point to the town. It was a well balanced formation that seemed to make way for protection then escape in the case of another attack. "Welcome back Audrey." Enitan spoke, hurriedly hugging the child who had hurried towards her upon seeing her."I'm sorry the Comms didn't work as expected." Gandu said to Dana who had just alighted Tigra."It's fine. Nobody expected the bitch to have dark magic to intercept our communications." She replied. She nodded in the direction of the Doctor who was still in talks with the girl and received a n nodded greeting in response too. "So tell me, how do you think we can bypass the barrier?" She questioned."I'm working on that, but I'm afraid it'll take a long time
"I'll win"
"It is a fight to the death. Only one shall survive." Zelda stated. Both fighters were awed, they were trapped in an unavoidable situation. David took a step forward, calmly stretching his palms in the direction of his opponent. "It's okay Eden. Calm down." He spoke."Calm down?" Eden asked. "If I don't do this, Eder is going to die." He ranted. "I know, but I promise you, I'll get this settled. Nobody is dying today." He whispered. Boos began to echo around the ampitheatre. The audience, all not thrilled by the inaudible conversation between both fighters which bored them. They came for action and weren't getting any. "I suggest you boys satisfy the audience now. If you don't, there is a price to pay." Zelda threatened. "I'm sorry man. I don't have a choice." Eden spoke, picking his Sabre up. The sunlight shone on the golden hilt, reflecting a spot of light in David's eyes. As the latter veered his face off to stop the blinding, he was stunned by a kick to the abdomen. Luckily,
Tonight is the Night
The Knights walked Eden to the cage, hurling his unconscious self inside. One shot him with a dart on the back and he sprang back to life, roaring loudly. He eased, seeing his twin just stare at him in the eyes, showing no emotion or concern if sort. But he was alive, that eased his mind. "You put up quite the show big boy." A knight spoke, laughing."I bet you could do better. He was holding back today. Next time, I don't think you would survive." The other guard spoke then left, laughing as they cracked jokes. "What's wrong?" Meena asked. He sighed deeply, his faded turned downwards. "It's David." He spoke. "What happen to him?" Colleen asked, springing up. "He's fine. Zelda. The bitch made me fight him." He grunted. "How did you fare in today's battle?" Zeddicus shouted from a distance. "It was pretty decent. A battle to the death " "We both survived." He added, calming their heightened anxiety. "You look like you're hiding something." Meena stated. He turned and knelt bef
The Escape.
"Tonight is the night." He muttered, taking a deep, heavy breath. The darkness was all around his captive room and he couldn't make out a thing. Even the little holes at the far corners had been patched, leaving no room for light to slip through. He wondered how long he would have to wait till night time. If he had a watch, he would know, but he didn't. He was just stuck in the darkness, awaiting Zelda to yank him out of the cage while he made away from her, or even attempt to kick her ass at the point. It was a plausible plan although he felt it was stupid. To him, all he wanted was to be ahead of them in his escape, not confronting the Knights or Zelda as he did. He wondered if the guys too had the same worries, or they all sensed time pass by naturally and would understand what time it was to escape which would be right before he was taken away from his cage for a public, private or intimately private execution. Any of the three options weren't preferable. He believed he had to fi
This is it
"This is it. One party entirely dies tonight, and it's not us." David spoke, drawing his daggers. Simultaneously, the front line of Esmeralda's knights and the gang charged towards each other, engaging in a fierce, bloody battle. David clocked his daggers with Castile's sword, both pressing against each other with vigour and passion. The former withdrew and hurled his dagger to the latter's side which he evaded. Castile brought the sword upon him and he crossed his arms, his force resistance deflecting the strike back. He turned quickly, driving a kick to his mid section. As Castile steadied himself, he rose to the air and dived, aiming his blade at David's heart. David flipped forward, slamming his legs on his back as he completed the flip. He quickly grabbed his daggers again and hurled them forward. Castile blocked the strikes and rose once more, this time angrily. He dashed towards David at unbelievable speed and made to strike him. David's reflexes were slightly better as he mer
"Is this what you wanted?"
"That's the tricky part." Gandu spoke, rising. "You see, I was thinking, maybe there's a psychic connection between David and his dark matter. That connection will leave implants on objects he's used while accessing the dark matter." He continued. "Like his sword, his daggers, his robe, his weapons in general." Dana continued."Yes, so all I am saying is that if we can get anything David used while accessing the dark matter, maybe we can fashion an opening or two that'll help him take down Zelda and her magical hold on Esmeralda." He spoke. "If you don't mind me saying this, David left a long sword for me the last time he was here before the attack. He told me he was going to teach me how to use it to keep myself safe, but I can't handle big weapons, so I kept it. Maybe it will have what you need." Audrey suggested. "That exactly is what we need. Can you bring the sword here?" Gandu asked. She hurried out of the laboratory to get the weapon, leaving both adults to brainstorm on th

EARLIER IN THE CAGE, AFTER THE DUEL WITH EDEN.David's eyes flung open and his eyes met the interface. It beamed before him, revealing his next mission objective. "LEVEL 30{Mission Objective}: kill the goddess." He read. "Level 30?" He asked, surprised. "How is my next Level, level 30?" He questioned. In that moment, the interface relayed another message to him."The system apologises for being unstable even without an upgrade. In compensation, the player gets a level boost alongside new features and attributes." It read."Well that's good. But what goddess? Is Zelda a goddess, could that be why her magic keeps counteracting the system?" He asked again. "No. The subject, Zelda is not a goddess, but a vessel for the goddess of Lust [Kevana]. Would the player like to know more about Kevana?" The system relayed again. "Of course, shoot." "Kevana, the goddess of Lust, greed and destruction once seduced King Arthur on one of his forgotten adventures, leading to the birth of Esmeralda
We have to do what we have to do
Audrey stood in the centre of a forest, sitting with her legs crossed. She took deep, slow breaths and felt the fresh air pump in and out of her system. Her sword laid beside her, the ray of sunlight reflecting off the blade, creating a golden, shining effect that seemed to paint the trees beautifully. It had been two weeks since David and his friends returned from Esmeralda, bearing nothing but assurance that the town would no longer receive attacks from the kingdom again. She on her part had developed a personality of her own since then, ensuring she had to be better with her self defence skills. She grew and David was proud of her, although unlike his friends, he kept leaving Ladus, "completing quests" as he always told her every night he returned. She had decided to spend her days training herself in the forest, sometimes with the adults and the nights helping Doctor Enitan at the residence. Even the doctor had decided to set up a clinic near her residence, training every person
What we have here is a Fairy
Audrey got to her room in the residence, exhausted from her day's venture. She needed her rest as quickly as possible and shut her door. "Welcome back kiddo. It's about time we talked." Dana's voice jolted her. She raised her head and saw Dana flanked by David and Colleen, all standing arms akimbo like angry parents who were willing to scold a rogue child. "Hello. David Dana and Colleen." She spoke hurriedly, feeling hot sweat drop from her forehead. She couldn't tell why she felt nervous about it, but she did. Especially with the stern look they all had. "Hey, Audrey." David spoke, crouching before her. She stopped fidgeting and stood before him."David." She mouthed. "How are you doing kiddo?" He asked calmly. She reduced her breathing, now feeling less tense. Perhaps it was David's calmness or the fact that he was the one talking to her, but she just felt at ease with him."I'm fine. You are not usually at home." She replied. "Well, I am now." Dana stepped forth, tired of the
