Battle camp
THE ROYAL CAPITAL ACADEMY The students of Class three; Valkori's class, in the College of Magical Studies had come to battle camp today. It was mostly composed of large expansive open grass fields that went into the horizon in every direction except one; the location of the main school blocks. Battle camp was the place where students practiced the fighting aspects of magic, it was a mandatory course as every sorcerer in the realm, highborn or not are liable to be called upon during times of conflicts and war, and every household in the kingdom wanted their sorcerers to be as strong and skilled as possible, magic was by far the greatest asset and weapon a Kingdom could have in this world. Valkori and her classmates, all twenty two of them sat in a wide circle and awaited their instructor, talking amongst themselves as they did, they all wore their white martial arts robes which was the uniform for this class, except Valkori who wore purple...for some reason Principal Alora st
Fair fights
"Fight..." Valkori and Mai circled each other, clutching their staffs in their hands, the students around them had their hearts racing, some in excitement, others fear, but all knew they were in for a spectacle Mai attacked first, leaping at her opponent, Valkori easily blocked the strike with her own weapon, not even looking in her direction. Mai groaned, spun around Valkori and lashed at her from the other side, all her attacks were swiftly batted off by Valkori, who hadn't moved from the spot she was standing on Mai was pissed, she grabbed Valkori's staff and whipped a kick to her obliques, Valkori dropped her elbow to stop Mai's foot, passed her staff in between Mai's legs and flung her off the ground, Mai used her right hand to break the fall then did a backflip and got back on her feet, she pointed her staff back at Valkori again. The students began to clap, amazed by Mai's acrobatics, and Valkori noticed this of course "What's the matter princess?..." Mai said and sco

STARFALL CATHEDRAL Worshippers and priests wearing long golden robes walked around the altar of the Cathedral, lighting candles and saying prayers Atop the altar sat a large marble statue, it had a hooded robe made of marble as well and had no face underneath, Its hands were spread out and over several smaller carvings of humans and animals, as well as crosses, swords and shields. This was the statue of the Lord of Dominion, the god of Tremore King Hector stood in front of the statue, rolling a beaded rosary in his hand and saying a prayer inaudibly, his eyes were closed, he wore a simple dark purple coat and there was no crown on his head, for he had come to say his prayers as a man, not a king "The Lord of Dominion..." a man said from behind, Hector slowly opened his eyes as he brought his prayer to a close, he didn't need to turn as he knew exactly who that was Lord Shiro walked closer until he got to Hector's side, his pot belly looking bigger than ever. Hector pulle
The journey begins
Valkori stood on a dock in Hendrick's bay port, named King Hector's great grand father that lived three hundred years ago. Seagulls and pigeons littered the skies, sailors and passengers loaded cargo into other ships and boats. She gazed at the ship which was meant to carry her, it was enormous, but the sails were small and triangular, very different from the images she saw in books. They were purple like her father's cloak and displayed the sigil of House Vernon, the shield and the shining star. Ships of nowadays had begun using steam engine technology which was developed a few decades ago hence reducing their dependence on sails. She felt her skin crawl as a cloud of uncertainty suddenly came over her, she really wanted this she thought, to leave the capital and see other worlds, to experience all of it, but something didn't feel right anymore, she thought she'd be happier, she knew she was supposed to be but for some reason she wasn't. Maybe it was because she always imagined

THE CRADDLE LANES, CAPITAL CITY The Craddle lanes was one of the lower income areas in the capital, unlike most provinces in the big city, this one has less commercial activities and mostly contained residential homes, the houses were small and cheap, some made of wood, others stone, but most a combination of both, the streets were relatively clean and much less busy compared to other provinces, children ran around, women and men went about their day and a few others on horseback. This is where Mai lived, and has been since she left her native land in the Kingdom of Tsukihama five years ago when she was only ten Mai walked down the stone streets accompanied by her friends, Greta and Yin. She held a cloth to her broken nose and her eye was still black from the beating Valkori gave her, she didn't say a word as she marched home while her friends glanced at each other nervously "Mai, you really need to get back to the school doctors, you don't need to stress yourself right now" Gr
My Father's mystery
Lightning and thunder lit up the stormy night sky over the ocean where Valkori's ship sailed, the waters and horizon were pitch black in all directions and the strong waves of the turbulent ocean rocked the ship from all directions as the storm grew more violent, but it was nothing the powerful vessel couldn't handle Valkori sat at a table in her cabin. It was covered almost entirely with open books, her room was well lit with yellow light lamps and her pegasus Dahlia curled itself at a corner and slept, using it's huge wings as a blanket. Valkori seemed to be actively searching for something in these books, it was almost midnight but the storm couldn't let her sleep even if she wanted to. Alora opened the door of the room and stepped into it, staying silent, waiting for Valkori to say something, but also wondering whatever she could be searching for that required so many books "You sent for me..." Alora stated, breaking the ice, Valkori had her back to the door as her seat face
Battle on the Crossings Part 1
Battle trains and vehicles drove through the rocky desert, a full moon and stars lit up the night. Each of them blew steam and smoke out of their engine vents depending on what form of fuel they were powered on. There were over a dozen trains travelling on the same track with hundreds of vehicles on both sides of the convoy, the steam and smoke trails emitted from such a large party could be seen from several miles away, but it was no problem for them, they weren't here for a stealth mission after all, this was war The first batch of trains and vehicles that led the race carried red flags displaying a golden serpentine dragon, the sigil of House Luo-Xian, the ruling house of the kingdom of Yunhai The subsequent vehicles and trains behind them carried green flags that displayed a monkey with a golden mane, the sigil of House Devantri, the ruling house of the Kingdom of Burmah The crossings was a vast rocky and hilly desert that sat on the border between the kingdoms of Yunhai
Battle on the Crossings Part 2
The sharks drilled harder and the mages blasted at the barrier relentlessly, the cracks grew even larger and it seemed like it was about to fall apart "YES!!" Taichen shouted Lord Shiro rode his horse forward as well "Cannons ready!!" he commanded The soldiers loaded and charged up their cannons, they blasted shells powered with spirit energy at the already collapsing barrier and tore holes open within it, they now had an opening, this was the time to strike "ADVANCE!!!" Taichen screamed, the Soldiers and combat sorcerers rushed towards the holes that they had opened on the barrier, Taichen grabbed his war hammer from a soldier who carried it beside him and charged on as well- A huge explosion burst out of the ground right in front of the opening, wiping out a huge chunk of the frontline and flinging men, horses and body parts into the sky, Taichen was thrown off his own horse and saved by a sorcerer who quickly casted a barrier to protect both of them. Gerald was frozen
Battle on the Crossings Part 3
On the other side of the battle, Taichen and Gerald were leading their armies as they fought through the swarm of demons that attacked them, the soldiers dragged their cannons through the barrier and fired at will, dealing severe damage to the enemy forces. Innocent human villagers ran and scattered all over, many of them suffered casualties from they barrage of bullets, arrows and spears flying in all directions as their buildings and homes were burned down and destroyed. "SPREAD OUT!!!, SURROUND THE PERIMETER!!!" Taichen screamed at the soldiers, they shouted their battle cries and dispersed, their goal was to surround the as much of the inner perimeter of the round barrier and eat their way towards the middle, where the Baron was most likely located "Where's Shiro?!!" Gerald asked Taichen loudly, the noise from the battle drowned their voices "Let's keep moving, we'll find him-" Taichen was stopped by an unusually loud screech which was certainly from a demon, the soldie
Battle on the Crossings Part 4
The Baron moved towards the soldiers, his great sword peeled into the earth he dragged it along, leaving a trail of purple flames. Taichen and Gerald watched him approach them, Gerald was frozen in fear, Taichen just looked upset. The Baron was over twenty feet tall and had more than enough muscle to fill up that frame, Taichen noticed Gerald pissing himself, he slapped the young man on the back to get him alert "READY THE CANNONS!!!" Taichen shouted Only three cannons were left, the soldiers mounted them and replaced the shells and spirit orbs, cocked them to the ready and aimed at the Baron, he exhaled and black fumes blew out of his many teethed mouth. The ground soldiers and sorcerers pulled back slowly to get behind the cannons, but still keeping their eyes at the Baron "FIRE!!!" Taichen screamed The cannons blasted three mighty shells at the monster, the explosions nearly blinded the men, they didn't stop, they cocked the machines and fired second rounds, again and agai
