Valkori
HELIAN ROYAL CAPITAL, 921 AE Flames scorched and consumed all that was left of the Silver Hedge palace, the massive, impregnable and well known architectural wonder of the world had been attacked by an extremely powerful being, one unlike anything that had ever been heard of since the great emergence almost a thousand years ago, for whatever this monster was, it had managed to obliterate the castle's most powerful defenses, and slaughter every member of the Royalé family, the rulers of the Supremacy. Lord Hector Vernon walked within the ruins, silently observing the chaos and destruction that the unknown entity had left in its wake, the flames of the burning castle had lit up the midnight sky. Lord Hector wasn't alone, a company of sorcerers all dressed in their uniforms wandered around as well, they all seemed to be actively searching for something; survivors "Hector!!" A man's deep voice called out from a distance, difficult to hear within all the roaring flames and collapsing
I am from Helia
Valkori stepped confidently into the battle ground, clad in her royal metal armor which protected every inch of her body, it was very powerful, but still elegantly welded to fit her lean and slender physique, her head was covered with a metal helmet as well, and in both her arms she carried two massive axe heads linked together with a chain that dangled on the ground as she bounced into the arena Her armor breast plate bore the sigil of House Vernon, a cordate shield with a shining star engraved on it, Lord Hector smiled proudly as he saw his daughter walk in The crowd went crazy, banners were dropped down at every corner of the arena, each of them imprinted with the same sigil on her armor, Valkori threw the axe heads around herself and spun them in the air as if performing for the audience, and they responded with their applause "This is it Reece" Damian said "the moment we've all been waiting for" "I bet thirty silver she wins this fight under a minute" Derrick added "No
The Royal Capital Academy
Students flocked in through the gates of the Royal Capital Academy, the three hundred year old institution was still as beautiful as ever, largely thanks to constant renovations over the centuries past. This was an institution where only children of nobility were permitted to attend, Princes, Princesses, and highborn children of lords and nobles, but the most important thing about the school was the fact that almost every sorcerer of noble descent in the Supremacy had passed through the institution at one point in their lives. Every student was on their uniforms, maroon coloured suits worn over white shirts and black trousers, skirts for the female, and a tie of the same colour It has been three days since Valkori won her specially organized birthday tournament, and she was getting back to school today, the hallways within the College of Magical Studies (one of the main departments of the school) was filled with students cheering her name as they marched along and around her "T
Tension
"Children...Welcome to the real world..." His words rang like a bell in Reece's ears, his heart began pounding and his face sweating profusely, Derrick who stood right next to him threw short glances with his side eye, he knew exactly why Reece was paranoid "I, apologize...for not making my arrival known to any of you prestigious students today and I hope you forgive me, really, it's just that I decided from this year onward I would personally congratulate every graduating student of Magical Studies, as my daughter Valkori would be passing through here as well very shortly and I want to be well uhh... acquainted with the system" It was very obvious that he didn't prepare any speech for this meeting and was just cooking up words on the spot "The supremacy as we know it today, has been through so many trying times, so many wars, battles, conflicts, human on human, human on demon, back and forth for many, many!! hundreds of years and uhh, I want to let you all know that it wouldn
The Council room
THE COUNCIL ROOM, STARFALL CASTLE King Hector sat on his seat placed in the middle of the crescent table, there were four other seats at the table, two on both sides of himself. At the far end from his right sat King Taichen of House Luo-Xian, Ruler of the Kingdom of Yunhai, the third nation in the Supremacy, he appeared to be in his late fifties and had his short gray hair tied at the back, his beards were the same colour and he wore a very disgruntled look on his face Next to him sat Lord Shiro of house Kamitsuki, the ruling family of the Kingdom of Tsukihama, the fourth nation of the Supremacy, he was a short man with a huge belly, was in his early sixties, his older twin brother was the current king of Tsukihama while he was their representative at the council To the left of King Hector Vernon, King Gupta Devantri, King of Burmah, the second nation of the Supremacy, sat comfortably, he had a red dot on his forehead and brown skin which made his balding white hair and beard
Succession
Evening drew nearer and the sun turned orange, the council meeting had been over for almost an hour now. King Hector still sat on his chair, studying the paper that contained the houses which were suspected to be affiliated with demons, he thought of which ones to attack first and how to go about it, Valkori's trip was in a few days and he needed to set some plans in motion "Your Grace, I still have important matters to discuss if you don't mind..." Hector was shocked after hearing Gerald speak as he thought he was the only one still in the room, he looked left and right to confirm that there was no one else apart from them "How long have you been standing there?" Hector asked "I was meaning to talk to you somewhere else but you just wouldn't get off that chair" Gerald replied. Hector heaved and hissed, gathering the papers in front of him and arranging them neatly on the table, he opened a portal with his right hand and walked into to it, emerging right in front of Gerald
Bath talks
"Nope, nope, nuh-uh...where is it?!!" Valkori complained as she tossed several body scrubbers into the bin at the corner of her room "I'm very, very!! certain I left it in here" she tossed more objects out of the drawers and groaned in frustration, sliding the drawer back into the cabinet slowly, she walked back and forth on the marble floor, trying to recall where she dropped the special scrubber Her room was very stylish and elegantly designed, nothing less befitting for the princess of the Supremacy, her bed was massive and the rose-red bedsheet partially made, her wardrobes and cupboards crafted from white and red woods, embellished with golden ornaments and rims. Her pet pegasus sat at the entrance to the balcony, the winged horse had white angelic fur so pure it looked radiant, it's wings and feathers were the same colour, the horse had a blue crystal on its head right above its dark eyes, it's mane had a more creamy colour and flowed down its neck, it sat still and watche
Treasures of the gods
King Hector stood in the throne room, just gazing at the Royal seat, it was a very large chair made of gold and iron, with diamond and ruby gems fitted in on every edge as decoration. The hall was vast, longer that it was wide, concrete pillars stood at both sides of the room holding up the higher floors, and purple banners displaying the sigil of House Vernon hung down in between each pillar, Rays of the sun's light shone through the large window on the wall and above the throne onto Hector's body, the highly reflective jewels on his crown sparkled. The doors creaked open but he didn't react, Valkori stepped into the hall, wearing a white off-shoulder gown, her full black hair unpacked and spread over her back and neck "Father, you sent for me?" she asked, her voice echoed mildly as the hall was empty, he finally turned to look at her "Yes, I did" She walked up to him and stood by his side, under the light which came in from the window above, she waited for him to say som
A small request
Principal Alora finally arrived at Starfall castle in the evening, she asked a servant if the councillors were still upstairs and they informed her that the meeting was over hours ago, the Lords had left the palace as well She asked if the King was still around and they told her that he was in the throne room, she sighed and just walked out, she didn't have the energy to face Hector or explain anything to him She walked down almost a hundred steps as she left the castle, she stopped for a moment to look at it, the megastructure so large and expansive that no other building could be seen around it. She wasn't admiring the castle though, just contemplating if she should go back in to speak with Hector, she did owe him an explanation after all After a minute of consideration, she decided it wasn't worth the effort, she turned to walk away only to crash head first into Hector's chest "Ouch!!!" she cried out as she staggered, holding her head and frowning, Hector just stood there,
Behind closed tents
Reece and Derrick stood inside of Mich's tent, shivering despite their thick fur cloaks, they had been spoiled by the warm sunny weather in the capital, up here in these mountains the winds were strong and cold, even worse in the nights like these The lanterns at the corners of the tent were the only things that lit up their faces. Mich sat down at his table while the two boys stood in front of him. Sergeant Zina, a young female soldier in her mid twenties stood behind Mich, she had light brown skin and long dark hair that became wavy at the ends "You say Valkori would be leaving the capital?" Mich asked "Yes Sir" Reece replied "Any ideas where she might be headed?" Mich took another sip from his cup, Reece and Derrick looked at each other as they realized that they forgot to ask Valkori where she was heading first "Sir we..." Derrick stuttered "You boys don't know?..." Mich asked, his tone becoming very serious "We were only able to get information from Valkori hersel
