THE ROYAL CAPITAL ACADEMY

The students of Class three; Valkori's class, in the College of Magical Studies had come to battle camp today. It was mostly composed of large expansive open grass fields that went into the horizon in every direction except one; the location of the main school blocks.

Battle camp was the place where students practiced the fighting aspects of magic, it was a mandatory course as every sorcerer in the realm, highborn or not are liable to be called upon during times of conflicts and war, and every household in the kingdom wanted their sorcerers to be as strong and skilled as possible, magic was by far the greatest asset and weapon a Kingdom could have in this world.

ONE HOUR AGO; Alora entered her father's chambers, she saw him lying on his King's bed with the sheets over his body, his wife Elia Skolgard sat on the bed next to him, Bjorn and their younger brother Thorin stood by as well, a doctor wearing a very long robe mixed concoctions by the bedside table, the room was silent as a crypt, except for the sounds of the doctor's equipment. She went closer to get a better view of his face, her body went cold when she did, his skin was turning purple and black cracks grew on it, quickly spreading all over his body, it was very obvious that this was no normal disease "What happened to him?, when did this happen?!!" Alora asked anxiously "It was just last night" Bjorn said, "Father said he felt a sharp pain in his head, it turned out to be his instincts warning him of something, he walked around the palace and I followed him until we met a random guard stationed at the guest towers" "What about the guard?" Alora asked "It was no ordinary

A platform was arranged and Valkori stepped out of the ship to walk down, she wore a silver gown and gloves and her full hair was tied to her back, she took a deep breath, this was the first time in her life that her lungs had received foreign air, it was cold and humid, well expected from the atmosphere of the far north Islands, and it had a little fish smell in it. The sky was grey and the air foggy, she observed the men who were walking around at far ends of the shore, there were so many small fishing boats which explained the odour, and sea birds flocked around in the thousands, she took her first step down the platform- "Valkori, wait" Alora called out, she turned to see her, Alora wore a bl

The table was covered in lot of food, fruits, meat and wine, and the four men dined Taichen struggled to eat as he had many bandages wrapped on his face which made it difficult to open his mouth and chew, Shiro sat opposite to him and ate quietly, his wounds were minimal compared to Taichen's. King Gupta wore his traditional tunic robes and numerous beads, he didn't follow his brethren to the battle as he was the only council man who wasn't a sorcerer. Gerald stood beside Hector's seat like a bodyguard, he wore a short sleeved suit which exposed the bandages on his arms "To another victorious battle" Hector said as he raised a glass of wine to toast, the others did the same, they clanged their cups together above the table and sipped, then went on with their meals "How are your leg

Hector got up slowly and faced the Baron, who had gone very silent for someone that seemed so eager for his arrival, he studied the demon from head to toes, not a speck of fear or dread in his eyes, he observed the mighty Baron like he was a butcher sampling his swine for slaughter, this was just another demon to take down for him. The Baron looked up to the sky and noticed that his barrier no longer existed, he wondered why he didn't see it earlier "It was you, wasn't it?" he asked "Well I can't use portals to move in and within barriers so I had to pull it down before I got here, any more questions?" Hector said so casually "No" the Baron replied, he slammed his sword on the ground and the earth trembled, but Hector didn't flinch "What do you want?" Hector asked, the Baron pointed at him "You..." he said "You want me to believe you took over this entire region just to get my attention?" "Enough with the questions!!!"
