				DEALING DAMAGE MASSIVELY

"I'm really sorry. Please don't do anything rash!" Richard quickly said. He began to curse his son Henry in his mind. Why hadn't Henry told him anything about the strength of this man? Wait? But this man didn't have backings, so how could he even do such a thing. Richard suddenly got an idea. "I know you are trying to break through and become a mage. Please I can speak to someone who would be able to give you the resources that you need!" He said in a rush. Lucian paused for a while before he finally broke out laughing. He reached out, grabbing Richard by the collar and then dealing him an heavy blow on the nose. "I told your useless son to stay away from my wife! and then you get involved too?" Lucian's gaze dimmed. "You even touched her!" His frown deepened and he reached for Richard's arm. "Wait wait, what are you going to do??" Richard tried to fight back. Maybe he could at least get this man of him and make a run for it. But a sharp pull from Lucian, instantly
				INFILTRATING FALKIRK'S MANSION.

Falkirk's Mansion "Your identification?" A stern man with a muscular build asked, his brows quirked. Lucian stood unfazed, his hands now tucked into his pocket. "Number one hundred and fifty," he responded, pulling out a tag with the same number. The man stared grumpily from him to the list in his hands. Without hesitation, he nodded sharply and moved out of the way, allowing Lucian to enter. Lucian twisted his neck slightly, adjusting his tie as he stepped into the mansion. There were a handful of guests; wealthy and influential citizens of the upper class. Falkirk majorly rolled with his kind. It had taken wisdom for Lucian to enter into the event. He hid a smirk, as the events or what he had done to buy his access into the event played over in his head. (Five hour Ago) "Boss, you've been trying to get through to Falkirk, and I think I've just found the perfect opportunity for you to do so." Lucian's brows perked instantly. It was Aurora. "Talk to me,

He cleared his throat sharply before taking off his glasses to face her.He had his back turned to most of the guests to prevent anyone from recognising him.Thankfully, many people knew of his name more than how he looked. However, he wasn't going to take any chances.Yet, Mary was anything but convinced. She stared at him in confusion, racking her brain as she tried to recall it she had seen him anywhere but her mind failed her."I don't recognise you," she sharply said, a suspicious expression over shadowing her face.Lucian smiled. "I'm Vincent Ferguson. I run a few alchemy companies in the country and abroad. It's so nice to meet you."He observed her expression.By her very brief hesitation in taking his hands, he could tell that she didn't buy his introduction much."Mary Wilson. Falkirk's secretary. I'm only being cautious," she explained, still studying his features to see if she could recognise him.Vincent Ferguson was omw of Falkirk's distant partners and he wasn't someone

Falkirk turned to the man who had saved him with an appreciative smile. He had imagined the humiliation scenario of what would have happened if the drinks had poured on him. The host of the event. He has already thought of a million ways to punish the waiter who committed the accident and ensure that the wretched man never got a job again in his life. But this man in the shades had stopped all that from happening. "Thank you very much, young man. And who might you be?" He asked, staring at Lucian without recognising him. Lucian took off his shades once again once he was sure that all attention was no longer on him. Falkirk tried to jog his memory but he could not recall where he had seen Lucian before or how he knew him. He also had little to no idea that this man standing in front of him was the one responsible for Mr. Brown's accident. He had no idea that the man he had paid bounty hunters to find was standing right in front of him. "It's me, Vincent Ferguson. It's been years

The event slowly tilted to a stop with Falkirk's absence. It had been over thirty minutes yet no one had seen him since he left with Vincent Ferguson. Mary had lines of suspicion and worry etched on her face as she dialled his line for the umpteenth time. "Pick up, Mr. Falkirk. What's going on?" The emcee chuckled nervously as he repeated his call for the fifth time. "Um... Calling on Mr. Falkirk Stone for the vote of thanks." The guests exchanged panicked looks among each other as they waited and watched with bated breath. "It appears Mr. Falkirk isn't back from his outing. I guess the closure of the party will have to tarry a bit more." Murmurs arouse among the guests. Many of them were displeased. The emcee had said that for five times now with no obvious signs of Mr. Falkirk returning. "Our time is important to us. Where could he have gone?" "We weren't even given prior notice to his absence." "This is quite disrespectful." Some of them began to move slowly towards th

Falkirk awoke with confusion, blank as to what had happened to him minutes ago. "What's going on? Where am I?" A hush fell upon the hall, silencing the loud murmurs and voices that had woken him up. He stared up to see Mary and Vincent, their faces still contorted like they were in a heated argument. Their tense expressions loosened once they saw that he was awake. The faces of the guests around him transformed from one of pity to relief. "How do you feel now, Mr. Stone?" Falkirk turned. It was the doctor who was quite easy to miss in his less glamorous attire. He stepped forward to feel his temperature. "What happened to me?" Falkirk thought out loud. Vincent was quick to respond, beating Mary to it. "A gang of kidnappers almost had us." Falkirk frowned. "When did that happen? All I remember was that we were having a discussion and then I started coughing—" Vincent sighed. "You passed out. I think you had too much to drink, or you must have been very tired. The kidnappers

Lucian wore a pleased expression as he stepped out of the chaos of the event and went home. The memories of the event still replayed in his head, making him glad. Falkirk Stone was taken care of. Good. Turns out Vincent Ferguson was the perfect disguise. He poured himself a glass of water. That pesty secretary was on to him and almost ruined his plans, if not for Falkirk's foolishness. Saving Falkirk had set the stone rolling for his plans. The name Vincent Ferguson only made the path smoother. The dinner had been going well. Lucian was no mindreader but he had accurately predicted where Falkirk would take them both for dinner. The same place where he met with only his high-profile, close partners. He had seen it from his research about Falkirk and his relationship with Tommy and many other business brothers of his.
				SAVING HER AGAIN!

Lucian didn't spare a second."Where is she?!""She's trapped in the highest floor along with a few other patients."Lucian felt his blood rush in anger. "Why on earth is she there? I know the room I out her in and it was not on the highest floor!"This was beginning to look fore beyond the ordinary. Almost like a well devised plot.Something was terribly fishy. The doctor sighed. "I didn't even know she wasn't in her ward until I went there to check up on her. No one knew where she was but someone said they saw a nurse wheeling her out based on the instructions of the head doctor."Lucian's jaw ticked in rage. "What?"Only one doctor was in charge of Elsa's case and Lucian had been sure to let everyone know that the doctor he had put in charge of her case alone could handle anything that concerned Elsa.*But he didn't even have the time to spare to think of that. Elsa was in danger."Where did the said doctor wheel her to?" He angrily asked."The theatre on the highest floor."Lucian

Lucian sat in the back seat of the cab, his fingers gripping the note so tightly it nearly tore. The city rushed past outside, lights blurring into long streaks of gold and red, but he saw none of it."Why would they come after her?" He muttered to himself, causing the taxi driver to take a glance at him.Lucian frowned. Elsa had ruined her life for his and he would never tolerate an attack against her, especially since it was a deliberate attack. He unfolded the paper again, his eyes running over the words for the third time."You think you can hide your sins behind her, Lucian? You burned bridges long before this fire. She’s paying the price for her sins, and her life would be a warning to anyone who dares to meddle into your issues. Everyone would know you for who you are."He stared at the words for a long time, his jaw clenching until it ached. Whoever wrote this wasn’t guessing. They knew. They knew him, his past, his mistakes, and they wanted him to remember every one of the

Downtown Z+ City. The room was thick with tension.Silence hung in the air but the brewing rage within the people seated in a circle was loud.Garrick Winchester stood to his feet abruptly, his anger rolling off him in waves. The grief in the air was palpable with the sniffling from the lady sobbing into her handkerchief, seated between two men with hard, stern expressions."So Silas is gone! Just like that!!" The outburst set off the murmurs of the remaining two people seated in the room. They had glasses of drinks in front of them but none of them made an attempt to drink.Garrick was not done. "That nosey Lucian! He is such a burden! But come to think of it. How could he kill a strong man like Silas? Silas was literally one of the strongest of us! Can you imagine that?!"Eric scoffed. "I don't think Lucian could have done it. He's quite hopeless." Eric Winchester chipped in, his skepticism written clearly on his face."I think he's just a weird dude with some weird obsessions abo
