The receptionist looked up with a smile, “Your wife is in Room 32, Sir. I think she has a visi–”

“Thank you for your help.” Lucian Drake returned the smile, and wheeled his chair away. He had to meet his wife as soon as possible.

The receptionist wanted to stop but he had already gone far so she shrugged it off.

Lucian rubs the bouquet of flowers on his lap, it was his 3rd wedding anniversary and he wanted to surprise his wife.

His secretary had informed him of her location and he had made the sudden plan to come here

In the hallway, he headed from room 32 and just when he was close, a woman stepped out, giggling while she held a glass of wine.

“Tracy.” Lucian called out. That woman looked exactly like his wife.

“Aurora never told me my wife would be on set today? Was it impromptu?” Lucian muttered to himself, while he wheeled forward.

The door to room 32 was half opened and he could hear some sensual sounds.

A lady's voice echoed from inside the room, and Lucian widened his eyes.

“It can't be.” He frowned, “Tracy with another man?” Lucian’s frown deepened. He admitted their marriage had some friction for the past two years but it wasn't enough for Tracy to cheat on him.

“It has to be a scene from the movie.” Lucian calmed himself down but the next sentences he heard threw him off guard.

Tracy sat on the chest of a strange man, twirling the wine in her hand. “That man isn't fit to be called a husband. What good is a cripple to me? I just don't know how to get rid of him.”

She scoffed before sipping from her wine.

“I thought you wanted to keep him for something, babe.” The man’s voice echoed in response.

Tracy rolled her eyes, “That man can't even get awakened? He enjoys being useless and only knows how to spend my money.” Her lips twisted in disgust.

The man pulled her closer to his body, “You are right, love. With my power, I can take you higher and more.”

Lucian wheeled in, trying to cover up his shock. He had thought it was another woman with a crippled husband but the familiarity couldn't be denied.

“Tracy…” His voice was low but it was heard by the two lovebirds.

The man straightened up in a flash, “I said no room service at the moment. Who do you think you are?” His words spilled with venom.

“Henry?” Lucian’s shock was fully evident.

Henry was Tracy’s co-actor and was the heir to a 2nd-class Family. He had always been Tracy's celebrity crush but this was another level.

“And you are? You trash cripple. I said we don't need room service. How do you even want to serve when you can't even walk? Get lost!” Henry was relentless.

Tracy frowned. That man sounded very familiar.

And this discovery made her look back.

“Lucian?” Her voice trembled, and she quickly stood from the bed. “Lucian, please I can explain.”

Lucian didn't know what to say as his eyes went from her to the man.

Henry frowned at Tracy, “Explain what? Who is this guy?”

Tracy lowered her head, “He's my husband.” She said slowly.

“Really?” Henry let out a loud chuckle. “He's even worse than I thought. What are you doing with this kind of man, Trace? He doesn't deserve you.” Henry pulled Tracy to his body, his hand resting on her waist.

Lucian wheels his chair closer, “Tracy, what are you doing here?” He asked softly.

However, Henry had other plans, and he picked up his phone. “Manager, there's a thief in my room. What is wrong with this hostel security? Do you know who I am and what I am capable of doing?”

Tracy was shocked, “Henry?” But Henry tightened his hold on her, stopping her words.

“Why are you doing this, Tracy?” Lucian's voice was gentle, as he was still trying to understand.

Tracy looked away from him, unable to speak.

“Yes, get the security here right away!” Henry ended the car with a smirk.

Before any of them could say another word, a loud boom rocked the hotel.

Lucian raised his gaze, and he moved his wheelchair chair forward.

Everything happened in the blink of an eye.

Lucian jumped out of his chair, pushing Tracy away in a swift movement.

The walls of the ceiling came down, right where Tracy was standing.

When the dust cleared, the fire alarm rang.

Henry pulled Tracy to the door in a flash, “Tracy, we need to leave.”

Tracy doesn't move as she stares back at Lucian, who was desperately trying to get into his wheelchair.

“I can't leave him.” She stammered.

This made Henry feel anxious. “You have to. He doesn't have much to live for, that's why he saved you. You can't waste his efforts.” He uttered in a rush.

Lucian looked at his wife, “Tracy, please help me up. Just help me get to the wheelchair.” He struggled to crawl forward.

However, a deafening boom rocked the hotel and the wall collapsed again, some rocks fell between around the three of them.

Henry gripped Tracy's hands tighter, “Follow me Tracy, or you'd die with that worthless husband. He can't save himself now.” He said through gritted teeth.

If this woman didn't make a choice soon, he would have to leave her alone.

“Tracy, please. Just help me up.” Lucian looked at his wife. “Please.” His eyes pleaded.

But the next scene shattered his heart.

“Lucian, I'm so sorry. I have a family and… And they need me more. If I waste anymore time, I can get trapped too. I'm really sorry.” Tracy looked away.

Lucian was confused. She only needed to pull him up, there was more than enough time for that!

“Tracy…”

“No, Lucian. There's no more time. Just let it be and die peacefully.”

With her final words, Tracy turned around and left with Henry.

Lucian stares at the door for a minute,

and he slams his fist on the floor.

He was angry, and betrayal tore at his fragile heart.

If only his legs moved.

CHAPTER 161Martin had just closed for the day. He headed home that night. When he got home, he found the door unlocked. "Ugh? how's that possible?" It was very odd since he always left his door locked before heading to the hospital or the drake manor. He pushed the door open and met the TV on. His gaze swept across the room and found someone on his sofa. The moment his eyes scanned who the figure was, he frowned immediately and went straight in and shut the door. "How did you get in!" He approached the woman on his sofa. The woman, just as old as Martin except for her preserved womanly features. Her eyes were focused on the TV screen. "I am talking to you woman! what are you doing in my home!" "You told your daughter to lie to me that you weren't at the hospital the other night." She started. "I knew she was lying because you will always be at that forsaken hospital of yours." "Watch your tongues woman, you have no right to be here, take whatever you brought wit

He noticed that certain things had been touched.Someone must have been here, Lucian thought. It was very obvious to him because he remembered exactly how everything in the room was before he left the previous day. Before making any move, he remembered the security cameras were watching. He had already managed to prevent Martin from having any form of access to the footage from the previous day.It was quite simple. He had bribed the security guards. He had bought them off Martin’s hands, and now whatever he did would either be deleted before Martin could get it—or worse, it wouldn’t even be recorded at all.Lucian stepped out of his office and into the hallway. He looked around and saw nurses moving up and down. There were doctors too, heading
