101...More than noise...
Alec turned his back to Jeremy and took off his mask to reveal a pair of green eyes already darkened, his strong jaw tightnening. "No" He whispered. "Yes," Jeremy said firmly. "Alec, they already sold the gems and we gotta accept that."Alec shook his head stubbornly. "But you already got one," Jeremy reminded him. "The Crystal Blue. Shouldn't that be enough?" "Getting one out of three is still recorded as uncollected. I need to get the three gems, it must not get into the wrong hands, Jeremy. I can't lose it, don't you understand?""I understand...." Jeremy creased his brows. "I think..."Alec stared ahead, not showing any reaction. "Who got the gems?""I...I don't know?" Jeremy pulled out his phone and started to operating it. "Okay. I just checked and I got the info that it was a lady who got the other two gems."Alec's eyes narrowed as he turned around slowly. "A lady?""Yeah...," Jeremy cleared his throat, scrolling through his phone to check for more information. "So nobody
102...Little Red Riding Hood...
A figure stood still on the dark side of a huge room, doing a quick scan first before taking slow, quiet steps on his toes. When he heard a sound, he went stiff, too afraid to swallow his saliva. He waited without moving a muscle, waited patiently to be sure no one was around him before slowly bending down to take off his shoes. Now barefoot, with just a pair of black socks on his feet, he started tip toeing toward the stairs, silently praying he makes it to his bedroom before anyone noticed. Suddenly, the light came on and the room brightened. Sam stopped, holding his shoes in one hand, looking ridiculous as he stood frozen with his socks on and his eyes widened. He knew at that moment that not all prayers are answered. "Samuel!" His father grinned. "I have been waiting for you to get back home, and come to think of it, I was patient. Realllllyyy patient." Sam finally got the courage to swallow. "Dad" "Son." Mr Thomas grinned, an evil grin that caused an unpleasa
103...House rules...
Letty killed the engine of her car, and without wasting any more time, Alec opened the door and alighted from the car, Letty copied his action. They both looked around their strange surroundings as they walked to the huge gate. "This place is beautiful," Letty commented. Alec nodded with a side smile. Soon they entered through the gate which was opened like the people inside the building were expecting them. From nowhere, a man dressed like the one with the lady last night, materialised beside Letty and started walking with them. Letty glanced at Alec who already had a frown on his face. "You wanna tell us why you're walking side by side with her or your gonna fuck off" Alec said with a tone that still growled 'fuck off.'The man did not say anything, and that angered Alec more. Just as he was about to spit out more bad words to the man, the man made his way to the front, walking ahead like he was leading them. "I think he's just guiding us." Letty said."He better be." Alec sn
104...Miss Rich Red Lady...
The first gun had gone up, fingers threateningly around the trigger. The first mistake. Alec rolled up the sleeves of his gray shirt and took few steps forward. His first move. The room went calm for a second, and Alec grabbed that moment to observe. When he sensed the right time to move again, he grabbed the nearest wrist, twisted hard, bones cracked, and the gun fell. Alec kicked it away and slammed his elbow into another man’s throat.Another gun was aimed directly at Alec, and Letty's eyes captured that. "Alec!" She shouted his name, but he barely heard it, and soon the bullet came flying. "Aleeecc!" She screamed. He saw the bullet, its movement appearing slower in his vision, and Letty's scream filled up the big room. Alec didn't risk wasting any more time. He ducked, and the bullet tore past where his head had been a second earlier. He turned a little and slammed someone into the nearest wall. He pulled someone and used him as cover, abruptly grabbed another gun pointed at
105... Energy at a quantum level...
Prof Smith tapped his fingers on his right thigh, an angry frown on his face as he went deep in thought. All he could play in his head were heavy sounds of something similar to gunshots, then ear piercing screams. The gunshots weren't exactly gunshots, and the screams weren't even good screams. He exhaled, briefly shutting his eyes, and grabbed a bottle of water to drink from it, hoping that would help to tamp down the serious annoyance he felt inside him. He gulped down half of the bottle, then stared down, his mouth still wet from the water he drank. "Shadowborne....Here I come." Slowly, a smirk curved his lips. *****"So the woman was really crazy?" Jeremy asked with bright eyes. "Like crazy crazy?"Alec grinned. "She is a psycho, like a real one.""Man! That's mad!" Jeremy exclaimed in excitement. "You got to meet a psycho in real life?" Heidi huffed. "Yeah," Alec said offhandedly as the red lady's picture slid into his mind. "And she is so hot."Jeremy laughed. "Told ya! I
106...Tan dulce...
A loud, mocking laugh escaped Shadowborne's lips, echoing through the large building. Prof Smith let out a heavy sigh. He knew this visit was going to be a dramatic one.....and probably a bloody one too. Shadowborne walked around Prof. Smith, his shoes echoing on the hard tiles."Did you have fun with the box at the door?" He asked with a smirk, annoying Prof. Smith. "Oh I'm sure you did.""Fuck you," Prof. Smith cussed him out.Shadowborne laughed as he continued to circle around Prof Smith. "I can't believe my best friend finally pays me a visit after all these years, and the first thing he does is cuss me out," he said, chuckling. He paused his pacing and whispered, "Well, fuck you too, cariño", before resuming his slow walk. "So, what can I offer you?" He wore a fake pleasant smile "Your favorite drink, perhaps?"Prof Smith looked up to the high ceiling, placing a hand on his hip. "How on earth were we ever best friends?" he wondered aloud."Oh, you want me to whip up your favo
107...The door...
Jeremy didn't waste any time and started typing on the holographic keyboard. Collins stood beside him, studying the screen with interest. "What are you doing?" Collins asked Jeremy."I'm trying to trace the last known location of Prof Smith's earbud. Hopefully, it left a signal trail" Jeremy replied, squinting slightly as his fingers flew across the keys.Collins also set up a holographic keyboard and started working alongside Jeremy."And you?" Jeremy asked, without looking up, running his fingers across the keyboard non-stop. "What are you doing?""I'm helping you speed things up," Collins replied. "Parallel processing. You know...basic survival strategy."Jeremy snorted softly but didn't slow down. They both typed rapidly, lines of data scrolling across their screens as they worked to pinpoint Prof Smith's last location. Meanwhile, Alec and Heidi paced anxiously around the center of the room."I swear, this is all my fault," Alec muttered for what had to be the tenth time."Alec,
108...Dark shadows...
Alec's eyes glinted slightly, the unspoken power in his calm demeanor making it clear he was the one quietly in control, even though Jeremy was the one working the holographic screen in front of the door. The numbers on the screen faded with every passing second, but that didn't slow Jeremy's fingers. He moved faster instead, determined to unlock the door and rescue the professor.Heidi squinted at the screen as it grew dimmer. "Can you even see the numbers?"Jeremy nodded faintly. "I'm trying." He blew out a breath. "Swear to God, I'm trying."Alec's gaze traced the screen, focusing on the fading digits.Heidi glanced at him, studying him quickly."Six, one, zero were pressed here before," Alec said calmly, noticing the faint thumb smudges on the number pads.Jeremy frowned. "Six, one, and zero?""Yes. Three as well," Alec continued. "And one, two, four.""Is that the arrangement?" Heidi asked.Alec tilted his head slightly. "The arrangement isn't certain. Not yet." He paused. "But t
109... Remember this, chico?...
Alec eyed Shadowborne carefully and unhurriedly. He sensed a force, an unordinary energy coming from the bad man, it was almost familiar to Alec. He could feel the pull, that thing similar to connection. A part of Alec almost admired the confidence and the power that radiated around shadowborne. Shadowborne smiled, and Alec saw it. That smile upset Alec, anyone could see that from his hard stance. "So you are really the Shadowborne," Alec said with fierceness now gradually dripping in his voice as he mentally prepared himself to fight. "Si," Shadowborne smirked. "I am" He replied, still using the robotic voice programmed with his suit. He looked down at Rick, who was still not up on his feet. "Stand up, Rick, don't be useless." He gruffed. "Sabes que odio cuando te flojeas"Rick, with a low careful groan, managed to stand to his feet and steady himself on the ground."Alec has met Shadowborne" Heidi said to the others, her heart racing."I wish I met him too, I wanna see the guy
110... Burning building...
"Alec?" Jeremy called loudly through the earpiece."Alec can you hear me?" He tried again. There was only silence coming back as response. Jeremy bit his lip hard. "Fuck! Alec you're scaring me!" Jeremy whispered, his fingers clenching hard. "You are scaring me, Alec."Heidi stood frozen, staring at the screen of the laptop, refusing to believe what she just saw. There were no human traces on the screen anymore, just fire and ashes, which the explosion had caused. No one could go near the fire since they can't handle the intense heat it produced.Alec was still inside, quiet and in pain. He managed to get up to his feet. The intense powerful heat from the fire—which was greater than his own internal heat— was slowing him down as he tried to use his speed to move out. He evaded the fire, but the abilities he had had reduced in velocity, and to make matters worse, the force of the explosion, which created a turbulent environment, made it harder for Alec to use his speed.Jeremy was s
