In a class full of mostly unserious students, a beautiful and young female teacher stood in front of them to explain the topic of the day and ask questions.
Alexander Todd, known as Alec, was present in the class, sitting quietly, like he has no life. He took several deep breaths to calm his nerves, but it wasn't working. The huge boys sitting at the back of the class made him feel apprehensive, and anytime he summons little courage to look back at them, his timid eyes would always lock with their fierce ones. He knew right away that he was a dead meat, all for saying 'hi' to the only girl that was nice enough to wave her hand and say 'hello' when he was getting his books from his locker before class started. Alec was a guy that always had something heavy in his eyes. He has a father who got sick frequently and still tried to work to provide for their daily needs, and he has no mother. His mother died from a dementia disease. Alec doesn't have much of a choice than to accept every bad events that comes his way, he was aware of the type of world he lived in, and anytime he tried to stand up for himself and other people like him, it ended in disaster. In the place he lives, the city of Koach, there are people with special powers; The power of money, game, intellect and strength. Unfortunately for Alec, he doesn't fall into any power category. Everyone knew only people with those powers are allowed to rule the city. They form alliances with other powerful people from other cities to exploit the value of common people like Alec. "Alec, can you tell me what you understand by cellular respiration?" The teacher asked, staring at him. She got no response from him. His eyes were expressionless as he stared into space. "Alec?" She called questioningly. "Alec?" The teacher called again, but still no response. "Alexander Todd!" The teacher barked and that brought him back to reality, causing a slight jump from him. "Huh?" He looked confused, but his confusion was quickly turned to the joke of the class. They laughed so loud like it was the comedy of the year. "Silence!" The teacher ordered the class, then she turned to Alec "I asked you a question earlier" "You did?" He asked nervously. "Yeah, but you spaced out" The teacher replied harshly. Alec swallowed. He knew disgrace was coming his way. After the teacher repeated her question, Alec could only stare at her blankly. He didn't know the answer to the question because he wasn't listening in class. "Fucking dummy" A boy in class remarked with a smirk and his friends burst out laughing. "You forgot to add that he's a dullard too" Another one put in, laughing in between his words. "It's no wonder he can't bag a girlfriend" Another round of laughter boomed in the class, and the taunts continued until the teacher called the class to order. With shame and anger, Alec sat quietly in his seat, his head down. **** Alec opened his locker to get his books for maths class. When he turned around, he met two huge guys with a threatening stance right in front of him, and he recognized them right away. "For fucks sake" He whispered under his breath. "Sam, Kevin, please just..." He shut his eyes tight for a second and opened them "Leave me alone. Why do you target me everyday for your bullying? Don't you guys have work to do?" What Alec did not understand was that they always found fun in bullying him every day because he was weak, they would be able to show their powers by tormenting him. Kevin took a step closer to him till there was no space between them and punched him in the stomach. Alec grunted, his books falling from his hand. Passers-by would never know the pain Kevin was causing to the innocent Alec right here with the discreet way he had to punch him. "You're an idiot. Didn't you know you were supposed to stay silent?" Kevin whispered with an angry tone. "You weren't supposed to say shit back to me" "Honestly, Kevin" Alec shook his head weakly "You're insane" And that earned Alec another hard punch from Kevin. "What the hell is happening here?" A deep voice boomed in the hallway. At first, one would think the voice belonged to a teacher, but as the two bullies saw the owner of the voice, they let out an exasperated sigh and threw Alec a meaningful, angry glare not to say a word to anyone about what just happened. They scowled at Alec's saviour before walking away with the arrogance they possess. "Are you okay?" The guy asked with concern, standing confidently in front of Alec. "Ye...yeah" Alec lied, but his new friend saw right through his lie. He smiled "Maybe you should take a little rest before going for class. It helps" He advised, then left without even introducing himself.Latest Chapter

Kevin strolled through the restaurant, oozing confidence so much that Jeremy and Alec had to grimace for a second. His new girl clung to his side, flashing a proud smile like she had just won a trophy."Dude's walking around like he owns the damn place, I almost thought he paid rent on the air itself," Jeremy commented with a frown and looked at Alec. "And they didn't even see us.""That's 'cause they are too busy savoring the moment of bliss" Alec replied dryly"I hope it stays that way" Jeremy muttered. "I mean maybe it's for the best." Alec gave a slight nod, his eyes tracking them. Kevin and his girl took a pause and started to look around the beautiful restaurant, then turned to Alec's table."Shit," Jeremy quickly averted his face. "Do you think they saw us?""Uhhh...." Alec hesitated. "I don't know?""Stop staring at them!" Jeremy hissed in a whisper. "Why?""Why?! What do you mean 'why?' " Jeremy almost screamed. "If you stare, they're gonna see you and the next thing they
44...Show that difference...
There was a moment of silence between Jeremy and Alec. It was comfortable for Alec, but for Jeremy, it was deafening. "Alec?" He broke the silence between them. "What the hell are we doing here?" He asked again. "Well...." Alec shrugged lightly. "We are here to relax and, you know....observe.""Observe," Jeremy repeated and chuckled. "You do realize we still need money here to observe."Alec shrugged again. Jeremy blinked. "Alec, I mean....a lotta money. REAL MONEY."Alec nodded casually. "Okay?"Jeremy stared at Alec, his mouth hanging open. "Okay, I know you have the money and all, but dude....." He looked around at the soft lights, the shiny floors and the elegant table set up. "This place is insane. Just look at everyone here, and you know we're gonna be spending like crazy....no—YOU are gonna be spending like crazy, not me."Alec still remained relaxed. Jeremy's eyes grew bigger. "How the hell are you not bothered one bit, while I'm here shivering like a chicken that just f

Alec opened his mouth to say something to Letty, anything, but a rough voice from the crowd had stopped him. "The chain is so ugly!" Alec stood akimbo and rolled his eyes sassily. It was Kevin who had made that remark in an intentional loud voice."It's ugly cause it's fake!" One of Alec's classmates yelled to support Kevin."So he stole a fake necklace?" A pink haired said to her friend. Heidi, already standing beside Jeremy, sighed loudly. "These people needs saving" Jeremy shook his head. "They are beyond saving"Meanwhile, Letty was focused on something else. She was feeling burning sensation on her skin where Alec had touched her. She doesn't know what exactly it was but she was curious. Her eyes dropped to her arm and she gasped softly at what she saw. There were faint, reddish burns visible. It was like her skin had been close to melting.Unable to control herself, she gasped like she did minutes ago. "Oh my God," she whispered, her eyes darting up to Alec. But Alec wasn
42... Bionic implants...
Alec let out a short, rough breath as he impatiently waited for Xander to start speaking about the guard. "What kinda superhuman is he, Xander?" He asked again. "Subject does not register under superhuman classification." Xander said calmly. "What?" Alec frowned, puzzled and quickly did a backward flip to avoid another attack. "Not a superhuman? Then why the hell are his arms so fucking strong like that?" Alec questioned. "They felt like a damn war machine"[ANALYSIS]"Structural Anomaly Detected. Subject forearms are reinforced with high grade bionic implants.""Oh?" Alec took a quick moment to zoom in on the guard's covered arms as they came into view. "You know you might wanna break it down for me a little."Beep. "His musculature is enhanced through synthetic tendons, fused with alloy components"Alec exhaled. "And what exactly is that supposed to mean?""It means subject's body is enhanced with synthetic tendons, combined with metal components for metal strength." Xander ans

Alec had quietly counted the number of guards Kurt had called over just for his necklace and shook his head in a jeering manner. "Kurt, this is what you wanna do?" Alec asked, calmly taking off his wristwatch. "This is what I wanna do, and this is just the beginning" Kurt rasped. "Hm" Alec hummed, placing his expensive gold wrist watch on the countertop, then looked at the guards to count again. "But come on, four guards just for a necklace? Seriously?" Alec remarked. "That should show you how I can easily get more than a person for anything I want" Kurt said with pride. "Kurt, stop this," Letty snapped, finally managing to pull away from his grip. "It's complete madness" "No, it's power, my love" Kurt pronounced slowly and chuckled wickedly. "And it's always nice to have that power""You are misusing that power" Letty whispered. Alec sighed, staring at the guards now. One of the them with ridiculously shaped eyebrows came forward boldly and made a grab for Alec's necklace
40...They all want the hot guy...
Alec had been having his eyes scan every area in the party and he had seen a lot of things....one of the things he saw were the teenagers making out in plain view.He furrowed his brows. "Eew, these kids are so spoiled""Kids," Jeremy raised a brow, a lopsided smile on his face. "Alec, those 'kids' are our classmates,"Alec blew out air again, rubbing his hands together. "So we're here to have fun""Correct"Alec smiled as that word reminded him of Xander. "Then why do we need the tiny earbud?"Jeremy shrugged. "It's just in case anything crazy comes up" "Ohh..." Alec replied. "Something crazy...." He whispered, glancing at Jeremy who already got a drink and handed a cup of alcohol to him. "I'm not drinking that" Alec said, shaking his head. Jeremy arched his brows, amused. "You should at least drink to victory...."Alec shook his head. "And also to the fact that you are getting the attention of the girls here" He added, gesturing his head to some girls from another school, they w
