Never Again
Hunter Man didn't complete his warning, but Leo has a clear understanding that it was a threat. Clearly, whatever Hunter and his little group was going to do with him was not approved by the school authorities. That, or maybe it was approved but the little group was going to overdo whatever it was they are doing with quirkless students. Leo didn't know if he was really for this, because he definitely has a quirk even though it was a passive one. Since nobody has any reason to ask him about it, he had no reason to tell anyone. Everyone believed he has a blue laser quirk, and even Lam has seen him perform another type by using the bubble to trap the student bullying the poor boy. He had done all these with the device carefully hidden not nobody knew. Nobody but Hunter, and he has to pay for this by being part of this secret group of his. "If Hunter believes I do not possess any quirk at all, then let him. At least he didn't ask me," Leo said to himself. As soon as he stepped outside
A Gathering Of Hope
An hour after the curfew alarm was sent off, a black robed figure moved swiftly through the shadows of the night between two buildings close to each other. Another man lurked in the shadow, a bulky man who also dressed in black overall and taking care not to make suspicions moves. He was waiting for the other man that was skidding through the dark. After a moment of hiding and running, the dark running figure finally arrived at the point where the other man was waiting for him in the shadow of a bulding. "What took you so long, Hunter? We've been waiting," the bulky man said with a whisper. "Apologies, Omal. I was busy with some things, Hunter replied in hushed tones. "This is why I asked the general for the meeting to be held in the daytime. If we meet like it was nothing much, nobody will suspect a thing." "This is no time to be complaining about the schedules. We just have to be careful of the Mecha-men. Those metal beings from the council pose a threat to our gathering. We mus
Oblivious Freshman
Leo woke up the next day still very tired. The alarm at his bedside rang for a while before he finally woke up with a banging headache. Still in his clothes from yesterday, he rushed to the bathroom in his VIP space. After cleaning up and going back to his bedroom to dress up, a holographic form opened up from the device by his bed. He saw that this same device was the one that woke him up with the alarm. The holograph displayed some words that read, [Good morning, sleepy head. You can call me Ultron. These are your schedules for the day___ Go out there and conquer the day, you're a champion] Leo smiled at the little encouragement. He was however concerned that the schedule space was empty. Not knowing how to correct that, he murmured that something must be wrong with the device. Immediately, the device displayed a counter, [there's nothing wrong with me. For me to get your schedule, you have to input your name and other necessary info that will be asked] Leo wondered if this devic
Post-Trauma
Whatever game he was playing was indeed dangerous. Provoking these girls will not only get him beat in front of everyone, he will also become a target for others who saw him getting dragged about by two skinny girls. "I don't even have Loca's pen with me again. I really shouldn't have thought of this," he regretted. "What did you just call me?" the tall, slim girl yelled at him. Leo had thrown shots at her wide mouth and she wasn't getting none of that. Now that he thought of it, he wasn't even sure that provoking Rosa's friends will make her leave him alone. The girl cannot be predicted with things like this. And from the way she acted earlier when she saw her friends, it was obvious that she wasn't that attached to them. The two were probably forcing themselves on her. It might be too late, but Leo realized this tactic won't work against Rosa. He could see that some energy was already building in the girl's hands. Now might be the time to apologize, even though he doubted it wil
A Spectacle To Behold
Alpha called for any healer student around. Three girls rose at once, eager to show how skilled they are with their healing quirk. "I wonder why only females get that quirk," Alpha said. "The one with the highest rank among you three should go help the poor latecomer lad before he finally gives up. How can a boy be so weak? Did he get weaker at Luxus?" Two of the girls ran to the back of the class. They both got the C-rank glowing on their wrist. "I said one of you, filthy dust!" Alpha yelled at them. "Is he so handsome that you can't resist touching him?!" The class bust our laughing. The girl at the front was already close to Leo, so the one behind just returned to her seat. "That's right. Learn to take the L," Alpha said to the retreating one. Rosa was kneeling over Leo. Even when he sat alone at the back and she was four rows away from him, she still was the first to notice when Leo collapsed. Her scream alerted the teacher about the scene. As soon as the healer girl got to
Miss Charlotte's Bag Of Ruckus
"Who did this shabby work?" the doctor asked rhetorically. "I mean, she succeeded in making him sleep but the process was slow, so it's messing with the boy's consciousness. I'm sorry he'll be out for quite a while. Maybe the whole of today. "These annoying low-budget healers, always eager to show themselves only for them to end up with a disaster such as this. See, he's not even fully asleep. That's why nobody can be as good as me. I am the best healer both on Earth and on Luxus. A-ha, I'm not like them. "So, here's what I'm gonna do. I'll press my hand on his forehead instead of placing it lightly like she did. Now this process stimulates some receptors in his brain that starts a series of actions and reactions---" Rosa stood akimbo, eyes staring daggers as she listened to the beautiful but lousy woman explain the process like she was a nurse-in-training. At last she stopped explaining and removed her palm from Leo's forehead. "Okay, since you said he'll be out for the best hour
Yet Another Morningbolt
The watch in their hands beeped and informed them it was time for dinner but they paid no heed. Dinner can wait. Sil and the other guy dragged Leo along with them while Jade led the way. From the way they lifted him easily, Leo was well aware of how strong they are. Both Sil and the quiet black-haired guy were B-ranked. Jade being an A-ranker was more like a master to them. They felt the heavy burden to accomplish anything once he commands. Even though Sil appeared to be his closest friend, there was nothing he could do when Jade was furious like now. They got to the entrance of a deserted building and saw two Mecha-men standing guard. Mecha-men only guard the academy at night since that's what they are specially trained for. The least among any mecha-man is a B-ranker and they are selected based on their acute observation abilities. Since it's getting dark, they have already resumed their post for the night. Leo was a little relieved when he saw the robotic men at the post. He exp
Mecha-Men Alert
Four days passed and the weekend was drawing near. Many things hasn't changed in Leo's life at the academy. Mr. Al declined his offer for change of room, Jade and his friend were still throwing him around for fun, he had visited Miss Charlotte of the hospital wing the third time, he hasn't had dinner yet at the canteen because he always land in some trouble every evening, Rosa's appearance before him has reduced for some reason he was thankful of, and he hasn't seen Lam yet since that day at the test arena. Out of everything, Rosa's disappearance was what he was most grateful of. He remembered the night he was frozen against the wall by Sil, she had run up to him that night and rescued him before he froze. He wished she wasn't the one that rescued him since she was the reason he was there in the first place, but he was still grateful that he didn't die from cold. His body wasn't like the other mutants, so he couldn't resist for long. He expected Rosa to pester him like she always do
Leo vs The Weakest
"Leo, where the hell are you going?" Hunter yelled. "Stay away from them!" But Leo wasn't listening. He just froze, he has gotten too close to the mecha-man to turn his back. The robot man went past Lam after seeing that he was unconscious, and kept coming for Leo. Omal and Greg were still busy fighting the other mecha-man and Allan and Hunter are now getting ready to engage the other two Mecha-men, so there was really no one that was free to help Leo now. Leo's breath caught in his chest. A mecha-man was coming straight at him with his huge beast weapon and there was literally nothing he could do. He however wondered if Mecha-men are allowed to attack students if they are caught outside during curfew time. But what Leo didn't know was that a mecha-man can't differentiate a student from a teacher when they are in their suit. The vision device covering their head will always glow red to them, indicating a threat to be terminated when a mutant is sighted at night. The earth's council
Mad Lam
Leo looked ahead of Hunter and saw that Allan was fairing badly against the mecha-man. He was clutching his left knee as blood dripped down his black clothes. There was no way he could handle a mecha-man with his shadow quirk. The least he could do was hide for a while, manipulate shadows to confuse the mecha-man, and slow down the mecha-man's attacks with the shadows. He was very skilled with his quirk but he wasn't strong enough to deal any real damage to his enemies. Leo had thought Allan was going to leave Hunter to fight this out alone as he said, but guess he isn't a bad man like he appears. He saw that the man needed help, so he thought maybe he could throw the blue device at him to help him. But he reminded himself that Hunter now has the beast weapon, and if he was really a high ranking mutant teacher, then that should be enough to defeat the Mecha-men. "Freak, I'm so sick of these metal butts. Get the shit over here, Hunter!" Allan yelled in pain. Hunter joined him immedi
