Chapter 61
Jaxon turned to see who the person was, and wasn't so surprised. He sighed and walked up to Aaron, who looked like he was about to shoot someone. "I know you have a lot of problems with me, Uncle Aaron. But I think you should be happy for your niece that she found someone who loves her; isn't that all that matters? Why do you have to be so bitter about every little thing that's not good, you know. If I didn't know better, I would have thought you were jealous of my father-in-law and all he has accomplished over the past years," Jaxon said, and everyone grew quiet all of a sudden. Jaxon wanted to laugh, but made sure to control himself. He liked the look of defeat on his face. He just gave him the taste of his own medicine, but he didn't seem to like it that much. "This is crazy, and I can't wait to hear what he has to say to me. Now, anything that is, if he has anything to do with it at all, you think you are all high and mighty because you are now the president of the Greyson Gro
Chapter 62
Georgia—Diego was really upset with her. Georgia stood up and ran off to her room. She didn't mean to say what she did. She got so carried away with what she saw and said, exactly. What came to her mind? Jaxon read the facial expression of Diego, and he could tell there was something wrong going on. Georgia didn't just say what she said. Now, out of mere hallucination, her words meant something really deep. Jaxon looked up at Felix, who didn't say anything. He didn't even look his way. Rather, he looked away. "I'm sorry about that. He just reminded her of her brother who died in the military. She can't seem to get over him, even though it's been years since it all happened. You will have to forgive her behaviour," Son Diego said. And Jaxon nodded his head with a fake smile plastered all over his face. He doesn't at all believe in anything he just said. Now, he believes there's something more to what just happened. But of course, he will have to pretend he doesn't know anything. "O
Chapter 63
Jaxon grabbed him by the hand. The minute he saw him leaving, there was no way he was going to allow him to walk out of this place like that, not after what he had just heard him say to him now. "I'm not a child, Felix, why can't you trust me enough to tell me the truth? I don't like this one bit, and I think it's best you tell me the truth or you are going to force me to want to find out what's happening," Jaxon said, and Felix was forced to face and look at him. "And I'm telling you, that's not going to be good. I might end up doing something that will get me in trouble, and I won't be safe anymore, or will I?" Jaxon asked. And Felix frowned. He knew for a fact that he was telling the truth. "You can't do that, please. You have to trust me and let me handle this," he said. But Jaxon was not doing it, even though he couldn't seem to understand what it was he might be fighting for. He could feel it's for a good cause, or could it be that he has been asked to spy on him by Diego.
Chapter 64
Honestly, I have no idea what to think, but it's fine. I'm just going to go with the flow. Come on. We should go. I'm starving, and can't wait to get home so I can find something to eat. That is a nice plan, but you need to sign this paper, Mr President. And don't ask me something like that again, when we are within the office premises, Diego Greyson has eyes everywhere. And we can't lose guard. Felix whispered the latter part of his statement directly to Jaxon’s ears. Here sign, you should take a good look at it and see if there's anything you would like changed. I will gladly do that for you. He said, pretending the document was the reason why he leaned over. That's good. Thanks for always helping me, Felix, even though I still have a lot of things to learn, he said. And Felix bowed his head. Finally, they were done with the work for the day. Jaxon marched outside while Felix cleaned up after him. He carried Jaxon’s things and followed after him. He had already called the chef
A Clue
Jaxon didn't know what to say. He possibly couldn't ask him not to come to the company. He was so right about what he said. The company does belong to him. And he has absolutely no right to tell him what to do at all. But something must be going on. Diego can't be asking to visit the company for no reason at all. Something must have happened in a way. Well, he's just going to play along. He possibly can't know what it is if he doesn't check. "I know. I'm just wondering if there's something that I might have done wrong that's making you so interested in going to the company. Should I be scared that I might be demoted? You might want to be kind enough to give me a clue so I can fix some things before we get to the company." Jaxon said, and Diego laughed a little. He shook his head as he stared at him for a while. He's amazed at how Jaxon has the same sense of humor. Georgia notices they have the same eyes. And now he's noticing they have the same sense of humor, which is just grea
The Photograph
“Who is this?” Diego asked as he was pissed about what he was seeing. Now he can't understand the audacity this woman has to stop them like this. "She's a woman that I ran into yesterday when I was leaving the company. I knocked her over, but I have no idea why she's here like this again. Is anything the problem?" Jaxon asked. But the woman didn't seem to be interested in any of the things they were both saying. The only thing she cares for right now is the question she asks. “Please, I need you to answer me. Are you the one in this photograph? It's really important that I know if you are the one. I’ve been looking for you for years,” she said. And Jaxon was shocked. He looked at Felix, who was looking away. "I don't understand what it is you mean by what you just said. What do you mean you have been looking for me? I don't even know you," Jaxon said. "I never said you are the one I'm looking for, but it will turn out to be you if you're the same person I'm looking for. So that
Suspicious
Diego made their way to the door to make sure it was properly locked so someone wouldn't barge in there. When he was making his call, he took his phone and made a call to one of the Black Knights. "Master," the man on the other end of the phone said, as soon as the call got connected. "A woman just left the Greyson Group company not quite long ago. I need you to follow her and take her out by tonight. I don't want her breathing by tomorrow. Is that understood?" he asked. "Yes, Master," he said, and the call ended. Diego tossed the phone aside and stood up, feeling so mad. He can't believe the guts of that woman. "Thank goodness I decided to come to the company today. What would have become of me if that woman had succeeded with whatever plan she came here with? I don't even know who she is, and frankly, I don't care to know. I wonder how she got that photograph with her. Anyways, this is bad," he said, pacing around the office as he brushed his hand through his hair in frustratio
A call for help
Seeing he was only messing with him, Diego was forced to smile and relax. He began laughing as well, and they both laughed for a while. "I didn't think you were capable of pulling my legs like that. Good thing you don't know the woman because she seems like a crazy person," Diego said. And Jaxon nodded his head. He looked at Felix, and they both gave each other a knowing look. Felix quickly looked away, so Diego didn't see them both communicating with their eyes. "Exactly my thought. She's showing up here and asking me about some baby. How am I supposed to know a baby? For so many years? I was probably still a baby myself when that photograph was taken. By the way, Felix, I was about to ask you, does that woman work here? I think she couldn't have come here just like that. There are tons of companies. Why did she choose here? Why did she choose me?" Jaxon asked, and Diego immediately got agitated. Now that he thinks about it, Jaxon is right. Could it be that she has been stalkin
A loud bang
Clara made her way to the kitchen, already sweating profusely. Now she was going to have to call two people. The first person is Felix, and then the other person is the woman that saved her in the past, whom she has dedicated her entire life to, and now she's going to die without having to fulfill the promise she made to this person. Clara was finally able to find the card. She picked it up, even though her hands were shaking, and it felt she was going to fall from feeling dizzy already. She picked up her phone as well and called the number. Unfortunately, Felix didn't pick up the call. She heard the sound of her door kicking open. She closed her eyes in fear. She must not make too much noise. The person is inside her house already. She will be giving herself away if she makes any noise and gives him a hint of where she is. Clara gently pulled off her shoes and placed them gently on the kitchen counter. She had no idea what to do now, and she had not confronted that man that way
Dead end
Felix heard the gunshot and knew instantly there was a problem. He immediately wore his shirt and made his way out of his room. He lives in one of the apartments in the mansion. He would take the back exit and go without a car. The only way to leave the mansion without being noticed. He picked up his other phone and placed a call to the best hacker in the country. "I need you to track down a phone right now. I need to know where the phone is right now. I don't have much time, so I'm on the move already. I'm giving you five minutes," Felix said to the person and ended the call. He immediately connected the call to the tracker and waited for him to do his thing. He pressed the phone to his ear so he could continue to hear what was happening. He would have preferred to say something, but he didn't want the assassin to know she had help on the way. He just hoped she's not dead and will still be alive by the time he gets there. He was about to go outside the gate when he felt someone
