Chapter 31
When one says he felt a chill, Arthur grasped that feeling could only be truly known by a survivor. Because he felt real fear having Orisa’s tongue in his mouth.“Whiiiipppp!!!”Something struck Orisa’s huge frame as she gently let go of Arthur. Her reaction was not a testament that she had been broken, but rather that she needed to tend to the little pain. The liberty Arthur gained when Orisa pulled away from him allowed him to catch the breath that had been seized for so long. He looked at Orisa in fear, her yellow eyes still fixed on him. Behind her, Arthur could now see what had truly struck her.It was the three priests. All of them were now wielding ropes of their choice. Those same strange ropes. Those same magical ropes. After they struck the she-demon with them, they paused, waiting to see her reaction. But Orisa merely squatted there looking at Arthur, who wished he could disappear entirely. Then her hands moved to his face, rubbing it with a care that seemed far too intimat
Chapter 32
“It's a place of sorrow, as I have said earlier. Total sorrow. Everyone believes Hell is just a pit of angry larvae scorching souls. It is a surprise that Hell itself fears the Deep. What's the Deep? The Deep holds the meaning of what darkness actually is. No life. No breath. Demons who serve in Hell forbid even speaking too much of it because of the torment it imbibes into their funny masses. But that Deep was where Father—the Prince of Persia—allowed us to visit if we wished. Dagon and I were more capable than most. We are of the royal bloodline in the realm, so it was easier for us to know what the Deep smelled like. And Father's real name isn't Prince of Persia. It was merely one of the many names that stuck with me. I don't know his true name. No one knows his true name.Within the Deep are restrained demons believed to be equal to our father's level of power. Yet they remained frozen, wearing either smiles or sorrow upon their faces. Perhaps those expressions are genuine. Perhap
Chapter 33
The energy the atmosphere produced was an ominous one. One that Arthur's nose could clearly perceive. The night had been far spent, and the moon was full and enormous in its glory. There was fog hanging around the giant orb, creating illusions of stories Arthur was yet to grasp. A wind swept across the garth again. The lifeless bodies of humans still littered the earth. Whether Father Wills was dead or not, it was hard to tell. Had the priests been a little humbler, as Orisa herself suggested, perhaps things would not have turned out this way so quickly. “It's a huge pleasure to know that you're not actually dead. I thought the priests got rid of you. Never believed you've been trapped in that body that isn't yours. I think killing you will be a great favour to me." Orisa said. Arthur thought Orisa might be mistaken there. Because Ysolde had literally killed her father with the snap of her hands and moved with lightning speed. Watching both of them, there was one certainty: one o
Chapter 34
“You… are a wizard?” Orisa asked, staring at Arthur with Ysolde still attached to his back. The look on Orisa's face completely repositioned everything. She was stunned—too stunned to believe Arthur was something she had failed to identify all this time.Arthur himself could hardly make sense of his situation. He was standing; he knew he was standing. He knew he was there. Yet there was a strange feeling that his body no longer obeyed his intentions the way it should. Despite the renewed energy coursing through him, he wasn't the one truly orchestrating his movements. And little Ysolde still remained behind him, her teeth buried deep into his neck. The girl had been merciless enough to do this to him. What exactly did it symbolize? And this mouth speaking from his neck—it was certainly not voicing his own thoughts. Perhaps it belonged to Ysolde, or perhaps something else entirely. The voice was far too deep, too edged, and too dangerous to belong to a little girl.“You are a wizard?!!
Chapter 35
With that same flash speed, Arthur was knocked deeper into the structures until he found himself inside a hall. From the huge crack in the wall, Orisa extricated herself due to her size. This clearly revealed that Arthur was actually distracted by the seductive she-demon. And it was a shame he was truly losing focus. Orisa was powerful, at least very powerful, to the point that Arthur was beginning to doubt if anyone could defeat her. Those strengths of hers were no joke at all.“Are you also a lustful wizard, Arthur? Can't you get your head into taking her down?” Ysolde asked from the mouth beside Arthur's neck.Arthur was about to answer, but he discerned that Ysolde already knew his name, which was something unsettling. Yet he needed advice because he had no tactics whatsoever to bring this thing down.“I'm not a lustful wizard. It's just that I don't understand what's going on here. I really don't know how to focus on fighting her when I actually don't have any experience in this.
Chapter 36
The total stillness that dominated the room was so relaxing. That moment, Ysolde loosened and fell off Arthur, but Arthur did not allow her to hit the ground before holding her. Although he was still afraid of this little girl who had killed her own father, he was beginning to sense things had happened that way for a reason. There were many terrible things Arthur could call Ysolde, but evil no longer felt like one of them. Perhaps she was dangerous. Perhaps she was unstable. But after hearing Father Gath's confession, Arthur could no longer look at her the same way. Ysolde was unconscious in his arms now. Her hair still shielded her face, and Arthur was tempted to look at her skeletal features again. Earlier, when he had seen her face, she had possessed no eyes. There had only been hollow sockets staring back at him like those of a living corpse. Slowly, Arthur reached for her hair and gently pushed it away. But the little girl did not look monstrous anymore. Instead, she
Chapter 37
Arthur was very certain he wasn't dreaming. The sharks kept lunging outward and the huge wave kept swirling toward them. The painful whip of the raindrops never stopped striking his face. But he never cared about that. He was concerned about what was underneath this huge wave.As little as Ysolde's frame was, she didn't look disturbed at all. She merely rested her hand on the wood, staring at the approaching storm."Is this how you are responding to this?" Arthur panicked at the little girl before stuffing the burnt Spellbook deeper into his shirt.Maybe the reason why he said that was because Ysolde appeared too calm for a situation like this. Like someone who knew something Arthur didn't."As a wizard, I hope you can manipulate water? Because this will be fun." Ysolde glanced back with a chilling smirk on her tiny lips."What?" Arthur gasped. That moment, the swell eventually burst and a larger shark that looked too dead to be living emerged. It crashed right into the boat.Arthur h
Chapter 38
The speed at which the undead shark suddenly used after reaching a certain height was unpredictable. Even some of the medium sharks were knocked outward due to the sudden yet forceful ejection.Although Arthur escaped that crazy hit, the wind energy that followed the shark's back tumble into the water made him almost lose his balance. Fortunately, he was able to grab the metal sheet by the edge and rise to his feet again.Ysolde completely avoided the hit. She was actually at a decent height and that showed how much safer she was.Regaining balance upon the metal sheet, the undead shark continued staring again as it was doing before. But one strange thing that suddenly became obvious were the tiny eyes of the medium sharks. They were all staring too. Like children trying to mimic their mother."Arthur..." Ysolde hovered closer."Yes?""You'll need to be swallowed by the shark. That's the best way to reach its eyes." Ysolde said."What?" Arthur asked, completely shocked. What Ysolde wa

He was walking from a farther distance. Yes, it could be seen. From where Arthur stood, a muscled figure could be clearly seen. He looked disturbed as he paced around the amber glow surrounding his throne.Arthur watched the figure again as his eyes widened further. When his vision became clearer, he froze when he saw the color of the man. No, when he saw the frightening horns on its head. The horns should have been the least concerning part because, when Arthur fully grasped the complete image of the strange man, he scrambled to his feet. And maybe that was a huge error. He should not have stood up.The figure turned the moment Arthur rose. Oddly, the fellow carried the head of a goat and the feet of a goat. Only his hands looked somewhat human. A circular ring hung on one of his ears while he walked closer to Arthur.Arthur attempted to move, but his body refused to obey. He couldn't really tell why his jaw trembled. And truly, it should. Because whatever this humanoid goat was comi

It was quite a wonder they had been hurled into this unknown area. It was hard to determine its geography. There were only vast greens stretching into the distance and the roar of the sea behind them.Ysolde hummed a haunting melody behind Arthur—a series of ornamental notes that sounded too eerie to the ears. When she started it, it was something simpler, something Arthur could tolerate. But as time passed, Arthur found himself occasionally glancing back through the shrubs. He really hoped Ysolde wasn't about to go berserk and summon spirits of the woods against him. Because, being smart enough, Arthur himself couldn't deny that Ysolde was unpredictable. Yet the little girl shut her eyes, hands clasped behind her while she trailed him as though she wasn't singing something suspicious. It was still hard to accept that she was twenty-five years of age. Even if she explained things in the most mature ways sometimes, Arthur still fought the reality that she was older.“Can you stop singi
