CHAPTER EIGHTY THREE: Chaotic Core Formed!
Gilgal trembled violently, fear gripping his heart.Just now, his control over the situation had taken a turn for the worse. Chaotic energy suffused the infant core, which was finally fully formed, but it seemed very unstable. This was a situation he’d not encountered with his lightning core at all, and he couldn’t understand what could have gone wrong. He’d made certain that his lightning core didn’t merge to disrupt the stability, and yet, this was happening. Gritting his teeth, he ignored the lightning core at the moment and threw his entire attention into finding out what went wrong with the chaotic core. This decision immediately led to another problem as the Resonance of his lightning core surged, and it spun rapidly towards the unstable chaotic core! Gilgal raged in his mind, but he had no solution at all to the situation. Madness filled him, as he battled to keep the chaotic core from exploding! At this moment, his body was beginning to convulse again, and his vessels sh
CHAPTER EIGHTY FOUR: Solidified Realm
Gilgal opened his eyes finally. He was still lying down, but the carrier was gone. His back was in direct contact with the scalding ground, and a shallow crater surrounded him. Blinking dust and fatigue from his eyes, he forced his body to a sitting position. Everything seemed different to him. His body almost felt like a foreign object he was trying to manipulate. It seemed too light, and yet thrummed with endless power. His vision felt sharper, and he relied on it now, as his magical senses were already strained to their very limit. He knew he wasn’t out of the woods yet, though. His body was at the Dominion Realm, but his chaotic core was at the Solidified Realm, and his body wouldn’t bear that pressure for long. Also, his affinity had actually exceeded his advancement level, which meant that if he ever absorbed energy, he’d quickly advance again, and that would increase his pressure. Careful to keep his vessels closed, he rose to his feet. The first thing he noticed was th
CHAPTER EIGHTY FIVE: Good Fortune?
Gilgal was truly excited. The changes that his body had just undergone was so great that he wanted to test it out immediately. Back then at Snakehills was the first time he’d really understood the differences between the different advancement levels. Back in Poles, he’d seen some Demon Princesses and Princes flying in the sky, and had assumed that it must be a result of their advancement working in tandem with their species. This was especially true as he hadn’t seen any of the Masters flying unaided before. But then, at Snakehills, after he’d also joined the ranks of true practitioners, he’d come to a better understanding. Flying wasn’t some great spell as he’d once thought, and it wasn’t unique to the demons either. Master Wyvrill had been flying, using his strong physical body to negate the effects of gravity on him, albeit for a while. That was when he understood that only a body at the Dominion Realm could even consider flying. But flight was the least of what he’d gained i
CHAPTER EIGHTY SIX: Infant Void Beasts
That roar was familiar now. Very familiar!Back at the Grove, it had been enough to shake his soul very violently. But here, it just sent vibrations through it. He had no idea if this was because he was stronger, or because the feral devils about were weaker. But while he hadn’t been affected greatly, the same couldn’t be said for Nur, who immediately vomited a mouthful of blood and became listless. A shield of air, mixed with peculiar soul fluctuations sprang up around Yvaine, even as her eyes widened in fear. Gilgal was upon Nur in an instant, catching her gently. He looked about, eyes easily seeing farther into the distance, past the walls of trees that surrounded the camp. He could see more than a dozen feral devils loping towards them, tongues hanging and snarls escaping their frothing muzzles. These feral devils were immediately revealed to be different. They had the same structure as their counterparts back in Soulwood grove, but they were bigger. Almost twice as big, wi
