There was a standstill in the hall for a moment. The silence was so loud that it almost became defeaning. The entire family of Elaine jumped on their feet. Everyone in the hall stopped what they were doing in that moment. There was a wave of deep silence. They all seemed to be stunned by the abrupt decision of Jaai to step into the situation.
