13. Benevolent beast gone bad [2]

The red hound noisily walked through the bushy path of the ‘Crow forest’ while watching out for any encounter with the Benevolent beast or other predators

“I think I got something.” Roderick whispered to the others who turned their gaze towards the direction he was peeking at

“Whoa, this creature is awfully scary and large, this type of creature is supposed to live deep in the forest.” Apollo exclaimed in awe to the size of the beast which busily cuddled itself with the help of the fluffy fur which was attached to the tip of it quadruple tails.

“Looks exactly like the diagram, can’t believe we are going to get thirty gold coins.” Daniel whispered in admiration to the tiger like scales and two small horns that sprouted out from both corners of it head

“Must had been a common tiger before it-”

“Hey, guys, I think we have company.” Roderick interrupted immediately upon catching sight of another guild party who were hiding behind the thick hedges of the opposite side

“Should we react first or wait.” Stella asked in question to the other guild party who slowly began to creep out of their hiding space

“No, but I think I have an idea.” Daniel answered with his gaze still fixed on the other men “Apollo, I think It’s a good idea if you deceive the beast into thinking you are hurt, and just when it comes to render you help, you hold it hostage.”

Daniel drew out the miniature cage from his scarf and handed it to her

“But what if-”

“There’s no what if, it has a ‘Benevolent’ in its name.” Daniel interrupted not giving Apollo the opportunity to complete her statement

“Well, okay, if you insist.” Apollo slowly began to creep out of the bush instantly faking a loud cry which easily startled the beast and the guild who already stood few inches away.

The beast whose attention withdrew into the surrounding noticed the other guild who were about to attack, letting out a loud roar which sent a chills running through the spine of everyone in the forest not excluding the wild birds which flew non-hesitantly from their resting position into the sky and Apollo who began to back away in awe. Once again, the creature gave a loud roar sprinting towards the other guild party who began to run helplessly across the woods.

Meanwhile, Daniel gazed in fright at the beast which went berserk in the chase

«Benevolent Feng»

       Tier : Advanced

       Hit Point : 1900

       Experience Point : 30»

«HP – 990 /1000»

«Attacked by : Benevolent Feng

  Tier : Advanced

 Damaged caused : 10 points

“Whoa.” Daniel subconsciously muttered startled at the amount of HP the beast had and losing health points just for getting frightened by it

“Hey, are we going to watch Apollo in trouble while siting here or go over to help.” Roderick jumped out of the bush ready to land a blow on the animal which switched it attention to Apollo

“I definitely wouldn’t die like this.” Apollo screamed instantly turning herself into a puddle of water that swiftly flowed away from the scene

“Hey, big, wide or whatever beast, I’m over here.” Stella and Daniel shouted out to the beast that angrily turned its attention to the pair, sprinting in a level of speed that caused the pairs to have a jaw drop

“Bad choice, creature.” Roderick smiled with his palm pointed towards the beasts and his fist tightly fixed “Apollo, wherever you are, cage it now.”

“Okay.” Apollo finally emerged opposite the beast whose limbs were numb thanks to the effect of Roderick abilities that glued it to the ground.

“Thanks for the catch.” One of the men who was an associate of the other guild party instantly threw his miniature cage to the creature causing a burst of light that temporarily blinded the crew followed by the cage that fell unto the ground with the Benevolent Feng stiffly glued to the inner surface of the cage.

“Hey, that isn’t fair.” Apollo retorted on an attempt to pick up the cage that was instantly replaced with a stuffed doll

“Ehn, how’d this get here.”

“Looking for this.” The five men of the other guild jumped out of a thick hedge with one of the men holding the metallic cage

“Just hand it over.” Daniel and Roderick noisily shouted at the men who stared quietly at them

“Blah, blah,” The front row guy who was vividly the leader arrogantly blundered with a dirty smile plastered on his face “Why don’t you come get it.”

“That wouldn’t be difficult you know.” Roderick answered sending death stares to the men who dismissed it without a care in the world

“And how is that possible.” The guy asked with his gazed fixed on Stella who looked like she was going to explode

“Like this.” A smile practically escaped Stella’s face totally replacing the chronic anger as soon as Apollo appeared beside the man, grabbing the cage and tossing it to Daniel who caught it with ease

“You damn piece of sh*t.” One of the co-men exclaimed already swinging his palm to Apollo who avoided the attack by transforming into a puddle and swam vastly to her pairs before transforming back to her normal appearance.

“Appealing, little trash, but-”

“Don’t exhaust me.” Roderick stare drastically turned wicked followed by the sound of cracking bones that emerged from the competing guild whose body bent into weird and abnormal positions

“I could add a bit to this scene.” Daniel smiled pacing to the paralysed individuals whose feet floated few inches from the ground “A spark of fire is always appealing, I think.”

Daniel pointed his palm towards the rubber boots of the men releasing a gulf of flames that immediately began to consume the boots even though he had stopped attacking

“Advice, run to the nearest water bank once you’re released.” Daniel winked at Roderick who instantly stopped using his ability, letting go of the men who ran clumsily out of the scene in panic

“I need a nap, I...I’m so tired.” Roderick muffled with a wrinkled face. This is what he’d definitely get as a limitation to his ability as it felt like he was going to fall flat to the ground any minute.

“More grease to your elbow, bro.”
