"What did my mother do?" She asked as she stood by the entrance.

"Ivy, when did you get back? I thought you went for a walk." Lucas immediately got to his feet.

"What did my mother do Lucas?" She repeated the question, tears already blurring her vision.

"Nothing, she didn't do anything." He tried to sound casual but she could see the unmistakable look of fear in his pale blue eyes, fear that she might have found out something.
