The double door of the Premium unit swung open with a preceding invisible force from Killian before he stepped inside the room. Mrs. Whitmore appeared at his side.
"She's right there." Her finger pointed into the room where medical teams moving round the bed, checking vitals for the umpteenth time, taking tests that came back with no results. Killian didn't move instantly. His chin lifted slightly and a slow, almost imperceptible smile crossed his lips. Dark energy only trained eyes could detect shrouded the room. "Uhm," he mumbled gently with a faint smile that was quiet amusement. "Energy of the Doom." His eyes turned to the bed where a young girl not less than ten years laid, body thinned under white sheet, her face was pale, eyes drowned by eyes socket as the energy of the doom feast on her blood. The Energy of doom— a forbidden energy that obliterates life, making the human body useless first before reducing life to nothing with time. "Who is that terrible person that wants a kid corpse." He shook his head in disdain and walked forward. Dr. Marcus Williams intercepted them before Killian reached the bed. "Mrs. Whitmore," he glanced at Killian without interest. Killian didn't give him a glance either. His eyes were fixed on the invisible energy draining the young girl's vital essence. "You brought in a stranger into the Unit? This is against our operation especially given your daughter's mysterious condition. We don't want complications—" "He's with me." Mrs. Whitmore cut him off impatiently. "He's here to cure Aria." "Cure?" Dr. Marcus repeated, the word tasting wrong in his mouth. He looked at Killian now, immensely observing him like a specimen that wasn't having importance the first time. "Is he a specialist? A physician? Because this man here doesn't look like anything I just mentioned." Killian turned his gaze to him, his expression calm. "You have shrewd eyes. But it's a shame you're using them for the wrong purpose, old man." He said. "You couldn't get the source of her illness after ten hours but it took you a second to evaluate a stranger?" Dr. Marcus's blood boiled with anger. "I won't take any disrespect from you, young man! This facility is my operating room and I get to give an order about what happens here." He stated firmly. Mrs. Whitmore stepped in front, visibly angry as impatience stretched thin. "Step out of the way, Williams" She snapped, the commanding voice of Whitmore group president snapping back in place. "You've exhausted your capability. I'm exploring another option!" "Option?" The Doctor laughed. A bitter amusing thing. "This is ridiculous, Mrs. Whitmore. I can't have an outsider who has no medical records of any sort to complicate my operation here. We're breaking through." "With my Daughter still slumbering for ten hours?" The doctor's shoulder sagged in defeat yet he stood there defiantly. Mr. Whitmore walked into the scene. "What is going on, honey? Who is this man?" "If you're exploring another option. I'm ensuring safety, Ma." Dr. Williams said. "At least let him provide any credential to confirm he's a specialist." He looked at Killian. A young man like him wasn't even at the right age to become a medical expert. He spent twenty years studying, researching and failing experiments that gave him experiences before he stood at the top of his career. A young man of twenty five? That's suicide! His eyes pierced on Killian. "Tell me where you work? What qualifications do you have? And what method exactly do you intend to cure her?" "Marcus—" Mrs. Whitmore's eyes darkened. "You're wasting time!" "I'm just doing the right thing, Ma" He said firmly, keeping his voice respectful yet. "I started this. If anything should go wrong along the line when he takes over, I'll be blamed too." Everyone looked at Killian to provide answers to the questions. Before he could speak, Mrs. Whitmore said something that silenced the room instantly. "Fine!" She clipped. "He's from Deadmoo." The silence that followed the revelation was deafening.Latest Chapter

"What are you doing, Jack? Who are these men? Are you trying to trap me inside this place? For what sake!?" Vivianne fired despite sensing the trouble, her tone a mix of arrogance and anger. Jack let out a sharp ugly laughter that actually echoed like glass shattering. His head tilted to the side with a cruel smirk tugging at the corner of his lips."For what sake? Huh?" He snorted, closing the gap one step with her. "You think you're tough, huh? Because you're one hot b*tch?! Making me chase after you all this while like I'm a psycho. I'm done chasing, Anna. It's my turn to hunt down.." his smirk was sharper. "...of course hunt down the icy CEO and make her scream my name under me in pleasure."The thugs burst out into laughter that echoed off the Bar wall."She's gonna Sob. Sob of Joy." He simply pocket the Card and turned towards the door then paused turning half with one hand resting on the brass door handle. "Dr. Marcus Williams makes sure she's checked her vitals regularly. Chapter Thirteen: The miracle hand
Mrs. Whitmore rushed to the bedside with speed that suggested panic when the weight of nightmarish reality finally shattered through despair. On the bed, Aria laid motionless, eyes shut tight in sleep that would last eternity. Gone. She broke down in tears beside the bed, shaking the static body with vigorous force that couldn't revive a dead body. "Aria.. Please wake up... please..wake up baby.." The room fell into silence that allowed ghost to cross the room. Dr. Williams head slumped as failure hit him like a physical blow, nurses stood with expression that wasn't quite mourning but pity and disappointment for a job that failed after 11 hrs effort. Killian was close to the door, watching everything quietly without moving. Mrs. Whitmore suddenly spun back and rushed to Killian, dropping to her knee at his feet and shaking his leg. "Please. Please. Help me. Help my daughter. Please do something." Tears burst down to her cheek like a dam blown by pressure. "Honey—" Mr. Whitm
Chapter twelve: Sweetest thing that kills
"What the hell did you just say?" Mr. Whitmore's voice dropped to a dangerous edge. He closed the gap with Killian with one step, anger radiating from him. Killian didn't move. He didn't blink. "I have no other explanation to give." He said simply and turned towards the exit again. "Securities!!" Mr. Whitmore barked towards the exit. The trained bodyguards flanking the corridor stormed the room, boots thundered collectively, vibrating marbles. "Restrain him!" Mr. Whitmore crossed the room to meet Killian, his footsteps heavy against the floor. "Did you just wish my daughter dead? And you— called me a murderer?!" His voice was dangerously low with anger rumbling just beneath the surface. Killian didn't speak. "Filicide! You accused me of Filicide, young man. You're in trouble!" The man said sneer, saliva spraying from his mouth. He took another step closer, glaring at Killian. "If anything. If anything should go wrong with Aria I swear I'm going to kill you bast
Chapter eleven: Countdown to death
The silence was deafening. The temperature in the room perceptibly below ten degrees. Close to the bed, a nurse dropped the instrument tray as shock gripped her. It clattered to the floor with the frequency that made ear ring and listening impossible. "What—" Dr. William found his voice after silence that lasted ten seconds, still breaking in shock. "— did you just say?" The shock was instantly replaced with Something else. Caution. As though everyone was standing on land mines they weren't aware was under their feet all along. Nurses stepped back with quiet steps in fear and caution. A junior doctor grabbed a syringe with trembling hands, gripping it like a weapon for defense rather than for its primary purpose. They saw Killian as a threat now. Deadmoo? The most horrible place known to the world, where massacre meant celebrations, where animals of humans were harboured because ordinary prison was luxury for bloody criminals that commit crimes for fun. "Mrs. Whitmo
