Searching for a man you didn't register his face but his appearance equalized looking for gnat in a pile of sand. The afternoon sun burned differently, sweats poured down from her temple profusely. She moved from retail containers to the next, describing a man she didn't really look at earlier because appearance was justification for importance.

"I can't get your description, woman." One woman shook her head.

"I haven't seen someone like that passing this place." Another said.

"You said he looks like a beggar?"

"Oh..no I mean..not a beggar. He's someone important but... forget it.." she walked to another place again, each response dragging her towards exhaustion and frustration and a career placed on deadline before it crumbled or saved in real-time.

By the time she moved from terminal to terminal, taxi ranks to the next, drop-off zone to the docking area, her legs were already shaking with exhaustion, her badge out of place on uniform that looked like it survived through a storm to the other end, her heels were glammed with dust.

She stopped at the pedestrian lane and leaned flatly with palms wedged against knees that throbbed in exhaustion. Her spine ached, her feet hurt, eyes spinning with dizziness from wandering for minutes. Her throat burned for water but dehydrating meant wasting time when you have a career on countdown to collapse.

Tears blurred her eyes as the weight of everything crashed over her.

"Please.. please..I'm sorry. Wherever you are please..."

As though her prayer was answered by the universe, feet appeared before her eyes. She looked up and who she saw made her weight collapse completely to the floor with a sharp crack. Relief flooded her face mixed with grim of exhaustion.

Killan stared down at her without giving away any reaction.

"I'm sorry please. Forgive me. I should have listened to you. I should have honoured you..." She held his trousers, shaking it frantically. Passersby stopped to watch in surprise and confusion but she didn't care.

"I came back because I wish. You didn't find me." Killian said. "People like you aren't worthy of putting a bridge to helping people who really need it." Killian said. "I have a life to save." He walked out on her.

Ruth crawled after him.

Killian walked inside the lobby to see Mrs. Whitmore pacing forth and back in frustration and panic.

Immediately she saw him, she rushed over. "Mr. Dante. Please.. please.. forgive me for not handling things properly.." the apology stumbled out from her mouth. Her knee bent forward to hit the marble. Killian caught her arm quickly pulling her up before the act, but it didn't go without the lobby's notice. Shock registered in their expression.

"Isn't that Mrs. Whitmore heiress of Whitmore group?"

"Who is that young man? It's ridiculous! Was she about to fall to his feet?'

An old man among them leaned in, caressing his white beards while evaluating Killian.

"That young man is not ordinary." The old man said beside her young daughter.

Why did you say so, grandpa?" The girl not more than fifteen asked curiously.

The man laughed quietly still caressing his long white beards gently while observing Killian.

"Because powerful people don't dress with armour to display their power, kid."

The young girl looked at Killian to see him in a plain shirt analyzing him literally. She nodded even when she didn't get the metaphoric meaning of the old Man's word.

Ruth crawled to his feet like an insect desperate for food.

"Please forgive me, Sir..Ma.. please.."

"Get out!!" Mrs. Whitmore snapped finger at the door.

"Let her be." Killian said, his voice carrying quiet command Mrs. Whitmore didn't interfere. "She was only doing her job but in an unprofessional and rude manner."

Killian continued, his voice firm.

"Pride doesn't take you to the top," he said. "It takes you up and brings you to the fall hard. Have you seen it?"

"Yes...yes.. I was wrong.. I was stupid.."

Killian looked away from her to Mrs. Whitmore.

"Take me to her ward. We have a life to save."
