In the narrow alley leading to campus, Olivia hurried forward with her friend. Her hair swayed with each step, while her well-developed upper body moved fluidly to the rhythm of her stride, accentuating curves far more mature than her age.

When she stopped, her breathing was slightly ragged, her chest rising and falling gently. And when Olivia stood just a few steps away from the commotion—leaning forward slightly, her red lips parting as if to make sure Alex was all right—time itself seemed to hold its breath.

“Alex… that’s enough.”

Her soft voice carried a flash of sincerity strong enough to make Alex pause for a moment. Not out of fear, but because that voice sounded… caring.

“Olivia…” Alex murmured, momentarily entranced by the almost heavenly beauty before him.

Olivia only nodded lightly, then immediately turned her gaze toward Abel and his companions, her expression filled with irritation.

“Abel… I’ve told you before, it’s not right for you to keep bullying Alex. Apologize to him right now, or do you want your father to be fired from my father’s company?”

Hearing that threat, Abel clenched his jaw tightly. Still, he shot a sharp glare at Alex, without the slightest hint of fear.

“You’re lucky—again and again—Miss Olivia shows up to save you. But next time, that luck won’t come so easily!”

Abel raised his hand, signaling his two friends to follow as they left the scene. Once the three of them were truly gone—

“O-Olivia, you ran here so fast?!”

A girl dressed in thin silk clothing that clearly outlined her figure arrived. She was panting, but when she noticed Alex staring at the curves of her body, Zonia immediately covered herself with both hands.

“Where do you get the nerve to stare at my body like that?! Alex, get rid of that disgusting look!”

“Being reborn and living in this new world doesn’t seem so bad either… Feminine clothes, even showing such perfect curves… This…” His quiet murmur trailed off.

Because clearly, Zonia heard every word. Her eyes widened as she clenched her fist.

“You think… I can’t hear your lewd muttering…”

As she was about to slap him, Olivia quickly grabbed her hand.

“He wasn’t looking at your body—don’t misunderstand, Zonia. Now help me buy some external injury medicine for him.”

“Olivia, you…”

Unable to argue, Zonia quickly followed Olivia’s instructions. Soon after, Olivia and Alex’s eyes met.

Olivia’s face instantly flushed red, but she managed to steady herself.

“I’ve told you many times. If you run into Abel, you should avoid them. If I’d been late just now, maybe…” Her words caught in her throat as she froze—Alex suddenly lifted her chin, forcing their eyes to meet again.

“Even without you coming, I would’ve beaten them myself. Olivia, thank you.”

Alex left her with a faint smile, then walked away, leaving Olivia standing there, her heart unsettled. The useless young man she had always protected had clearly changed.

“Where did that courage come from? That sharp, cold gaze… even the boldness to touch me…” Olivia murmured as she watched Alex’s retreating back.

On his way back to the simple home left behind in the original owner’s memories, Alex carefully observed the outskirts of Draken City.

The differences in daily activities—and even the vehicles people used—made him look like a poor youth who had just descended from the mountains, staring at modern cars passing by.

“HEY! GREEN LIGHT MEANS GO! STOP IF IT’S NOT!” a man shouted, warning Alex.

Then...

TIIIIIIIN!

The blaring sound of a car horn snapped Alex’s attention away! His eyes widened, but the oncoming car couldn’t slow down in time. The impact sent Alex flying, crashing into the roadside barrier.

Bruuuaaaagh!

“An accident?! There’s been an accident?!”

“Damn, that kid was hit at high speed! His body must be shattered! I—I don’t even want to look!”

“Hurry, call an ambulance!”

The car that hit him stopped in the middle of the road. Beneath the collapsed barrier, Alex was cursing his own foolishness for not checking his surroundings before stepping forward.

“Th-that speed was enough to destroy this weak body… Luckily, I reacted quickly and wrapped myself in a bit of the Qi energy that exists in this world… But now the problem is, how do I get out from under this wreckage?”

Trapped beneath the crushed barrier, all he could do was endure. After fifteen minutes, the ambulance finally arrived. At the same time, everyone worked together to remove the concrete slabs pinning Alex down.

“He-He’s still alive?!”

Everyone trembled as they saw Alex, looking embarrassed by his earlier mistake.

“H-He’s really alive… and that smile—it's like the impact that destroyed the barrier didn’t affect his body at all?”

Even the doctor who rushed over to help Alex stand was left blinking in disbelief. His mouth opened, but no words came out.

“Thank you for helping me… and sorry, sorry for causing such a disturbance.”

Every mouth fell open, forming a perfect “O.”

Alex turned off his phone screen, slipped it into his jacket pocket, and stepped out of the house. The old wooden door closed slowly behind him, leaving the inherited house wrapped once again in silence.Night had fully fallen.Dim streetlights cast long shadows along the narrow alley where Alex walked. His steps were calm, unhurried, as if he were heading toward something he had long anticipated. His destination wasn’t far—an old shop at the corner of the street, its paint peeling and its signboard hanging crooked. That was where the three debt collectors who had haunted his father’s life usually gathered.Alex pushed open the half-rusted iron door.Creeeak…Inside, three men were lounging casually. Cigarettes burned, bottles of liquor lay scattered across the table. When they saw Alex enter, the three exchanged glances before curling their lips into crooked smiles.“Well, well… the kid came alone,” said the burly bald man. “Alex, right?”Alex stepped inside with steady strides, even

“Who is it?” Alex asked again, his voice low but alert.“Alex… it’s me.”The woman’s voice sounded calm, slightly hesitant, yet clearly trying to remain polite.Alex frowned. The voice wasn’t unfamiliar. He walked slowly toward the door and opened it just a crack. A woman stood outside, wearing a simple beige coat. Her hair was neatly tied back, her face beautiful with sharp features and intelligent eyes. In her hand was a black leather handbag—expensive, but understated.“Wine Clara?” Alex asked flatly. The woman smiled faintly, relief evident on her face. “Thank goodness you still remember me.”Alex opened the door fully. “Come in.”Clara was slightly surprised. She had expected questions—or even to be driven away. But Alex’s demeanor was far too calm for someone who had once been at odds with her over a trivial matter.Once inside, Clara immediately observed the house. Simple. Clean. Yet cold and eerily quiet.“Are you alone?” she asked.“Always,” Alex replied briefly.Clara nodded

Djanu stepped forward first, followed by Abel and Ruyan, who spread out in a half-circle.A formation painfully familiar to the original body’s memories.Back then, the original owner of this body always stood in the center of that circle—head lowered, trembling in fear, silently enduring the bullying until his entire body was covered in wounds. But now, the positions were reversed. The Alex of today was no longer a loser. He was a former God Cultivator, once revered across countless regions of the Immortal Realm.“So you dare challenge us here,” Abel said coldly. “This place… wasn’t it always the graveyard of your dignity?”Alex smiled faintly—a smile utterly devoid of emotion.“That’s exactly why I chose this place,” he replied calmly. “So you can experience again what you used to do.”Djanu snorted. “Bullshit. You think answering a lecturer’s questions makes you someone important?”He lunged forward instantly, his fist shooting toward Alex’s face, powerful and filled with force.Bu

Djanu curled his lips into a thin grin and prepared to throw his punch. However, in a split second, Alex had already caught his wrist. And then....“Fighting in the classroom? Do you still have any respect for me as your lecturer?”A young man with a slightly muscular build, dressed neatly, entered the classroom together with Zonia.Abel’s jaw stiffened. Djanu’s and even Ruyan’s expressions froze. For some reason, every time they were about to beat Alex, someone always appeared to stop them.“Alex… once again, you’re truly lucky,” Abel said coldly. “But once you step outside campus grounds, I’ll continue this matter.”Abel signaled Djanu to back off. Yet Alex’s grip was terrifyingly strong—like iron shackles that could only be unlocked with a special key.“W–Why…?” Djanu choked out.Alex suddenly released his grip and shoved Djanu aside.“I’ll be waiting for that time to come.”He sat down in the seat provided. Unexpectedly, Zonia sat down beside him.“Isn’t your seat in the back?” Al

Casting a brief glance at Alex’s expressionless face, several of Clara’s attendants immediately exclaimed.“T–That necklace… the one that symbolizes absolute authority!”“That’s right! It’s said this necklace was valued at over ten million dollars! But due to a sudden act of greed, it vanished without a trace! Even now, rulers of various nations are still searching for the symbol of the Blue Ocean Dragon!”Clara carefully picked up the necklace. Her appraisal could not be wrong, yet suspicion still rose within her.“Where did you get this necklace?”“I’m the same as you—someone who can judge an item with just two eyes,” Alex replied calmly. “What makes you so suspicious? Right now, I just happen to need money. How much is this necklace worth?”Clara fell silent for a moment. Even in the past, its price had reached ten million dollars. Now, after the Blue Ocean Dragon Necklace had been lost for years and suddenly resurfaced, its value would surely multiply several times over.“Based on

Glancing around his surroundings, he found no trace at all of the old vendor from earlier. Even when using his Divine Eyes, there was nothing—no shadow, no aura. The old man had truly vanished into the void.“In this new world… there’s a cultivator as well? Interesting…” Realizing who the old man truly was, Alex continued walking toward the best shop on the antique street. That shop belonged to Wine Clara—the finest antique appraiser in Draken City.Upon entering, Abel, who was browsing the items displayed on the shelves, immediately spoke to Alex.“Why are you tailing us?! Do you really think that rotten clay jar of yours can be exchanged for money here? Hahahaha! You must feel scammed, right?!”“Scammed? I don’t think so. I came here after seeing that this is the largest shop I’ve encountered… and I’m here to sell what’s inside this jar. What right do you have to comment on me?”Seeing someone he had always regarded as trash dare to speak back—almost as if challenging him—made Abel
