Chapter one
Chapter One The Little Village Clinic buzzed with life on the sunny morning. Damien, the only male healer apprentice, tried to focus on sorting herbs, but the giggles laugh kept breaking his concentration. His cheeks turned pink as he heard footsteps coming closer. “Oh, Healer Damien!” Stella called out , batting her eyes. “I have this terrible pain right here.” She pointed to her Left breast, tugging at her collar so slightly and it made some part of her breast exposed for Damien to see. “I can go fetch some other female Healer for you.” Damien stammered, his hands fumbling with the herbs he was counting. At that moment another apprentice, Alice, leaned against his work table. “But you're so much better at finding the sore spots, Damien,” she said with a sweet smile. “Your hands are gentler than the others.” Immediately the other girls nodded in agreement, surrounding Damian's table like butterflies drawn to honey. At that moment Damien wished the ground would swallow

Her question was directed at Winston's father, who stood with grief etched into every line of his face. His eyes never left Damien as he gave a slow, deliberate nod.“Yes,” he said, his voice thick with conviction. “That is the same person. I would recognize him anywhere.” His fists clenched at his sides, knuckles white with tension. “I am very, very sure.”The weight of his certainty hung in the air, choking any protest Sophia might have formed. She glanced at Damien, searching his face for some reaction—denial, shock, anything that might suggest innocence—but his expression remained carefully controlled, only the slight tightening around his eyes betraying any emotion at all.Whisting's father stepped forward, his face contorted with desperation and rage. His finger remained pointed at Damien, trembling with the force of his accusation.“He has been the one having issues with Whisting ever since the beginning,” he spat, voice breaking. “And I am very, very sure that he is also the

At that moment the room fell silent as the door swung open. Three men in dark suits entered, their expressions grim and purposeful. But it was the figure who followed them that caused the air to freeze in Sophia's hospital.Serenity.The war goddess herself had come, her presence filling the modest room with an almost palpable energy. Golden armor award gleamed beneath a flowing white cloak, her raven hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall of night. Her eyes—ancient and piercing—surveyed the room with cold calculation.Sophia's grandfather's eyes widened immediately. His weathered hands trembled as he placed it on the coffee table, eyes wide with disbelief.“Impossible,” he whispered, half-rising from his armchair.Sophia's mother gripped the edge of the chair, her knuckles white. “What... what is happening?” she managed, her voice barely audible. But it was Sophia's father whose reaction told the most frightening story. The color drained from his face as if someone had p

That was the only thought he could cling to now—the only thread of hope dangling in his mind. Serenity. Yes, Serenity would do something. She had to. She could still speak on their behalf. She had influence. If she could put in a good word before the Supreme King, perhaps the door to power wasn’t completely shut. Perhaps they hadn’t lost everything. But even that hope couldn’t wash away the sour sting of disgrace.Because as he stood there, shame gnawed at his chest like a silent storm. Damien—this same boy he had looked down on, dismissed, insulted—had become their savior. Not only had he exposed the very monsters they once trusted… he had also saved Sophia. And now… he was standing right there.A few feet away. Calm. Composed. Not angry, not proud. Just… present. And that alone made it worse. The old man couldn’t even raise his head. He felt it deep in his bones—the weight of having sold out Damien’s heart, dismissed his worth, only for that same heart to carry his family through th

At that moment Sophia’s father stepped forward, his face twisted with disbelief.“That’s not even true,” he said, shaking his head. “London? No—London would never do something like that. You must be mistaken.”Immediately Clarissa nodded quickly, almost too quickly. “Exactly. London? Kidnap you? Torture you? That doesn’t even sound like him.”“I’ll call him right now,” her grandfather added, already reaching for his phone. “I’ll ask him myself. If this is what you’re claiming, then let me hear it from his own mouth.”But Sophia didn’t flinch. She simply looked at her grandfather, her lips trembling. Her eyes held the kind of pain that didn’t come from physical wounds, because she couldn't believe they would refused to listen to her own side of the story without calling London to confirm.“You can’t call him,” she whispered. At that moment her voice was too low, too calm.Immediately they all looked at her.“London is dead.”The words fell like a blade. Her grandfather father’s hand fr

The sharp slam of the door was still echoing when Sophia’s heart sank. Her breath caught in her throat. She already knew. She didn’t need to guess. The second she heard the footsteps, the rustle of expensive fabric, the weighty silence followed by a familiar scoff—it was enough. Her eyes slowly shifted toward the doorway, and there they were. Her grandfather entered first, tall and stern as ever, his walking stick hitting the tiles with cold authority. Behind him, her father, Mr. Callum, stood with a deep frown, arms folded tightly across his chest. And then… her mother—Clarissa Callum, perfectly dressed as if she hadn’t just stormed into a hospital room, her expression twisted with a mix of panic, rage, and exhaustion.Sophia’s body stiffened beneath the bedsheets.Clarissa didn't wait.“You see? You see what you’ve done to yourself?” her mother snapped, her voice slicing through the air. “We warned you, Sophia! Didn’t we warn you?!”Sophia didn’t respond. Her fingers tightened aroun

At that moment the bitterness in his tone cracked through. However Serenity didn’t respond. Her gaze was locked on her phone. Calm. Controlled. Almost too calm. That silence unnerved him.And at that point Winston father phone started ranging.Immediately his wise turned deadly when he saw who was calling.“Why is he calling him?” he asked sharply, though he already knew. They must have something on Damien. They weren’t just trying to reach him.Winston’s father answered the call, his tone sharp and expectant.“What is it?”A calm voice came through the receiver. “We’ve seen him, sir. Damien. He’s at Vespera Medical, alone. Fourth floor. Private wing.”For a second, Winston’s father didn’t blink. The words echoed in his ear like the sound of a loaded gun being cocked. Then, slowly, a wicked smile stretched across his face.“Very good,” he said, hanging up without another word.He turned to Serenity, who was still fuming from everything she'd just said about her grandfather, her engag

The understated miraculous Doctor. Chapter Two Hundred and Eighty
Upon hearing Serenity’s quiet confession, Winston’s father tilted his head slightly, surprise flickering across his face. His brows drew together, the weight of confusion pressing deeper. “What do you mean it’s your fault?” he asked, his tone more curious than accusatory. “What exactly happened that would make your father—your own grandfather—not want to see even you?”Then Serenity exhaled softly, her fingers curling around each other in front of her. Her gaze dropped for a second, as if grounding herself before revealing what had clearly haunted her.“It’s about the one who treated him,” she began. “The miraculous doctor apprentice.”Winston’s father remained still, listening.“He… he was actually the one grandfather betrothed me to,” she said slowly. “And I… I chased him away. More than once.” Her voice thinned with guilt. “I insulted him. I doubted him. I accused him of things I didn’t understand... and the last time I saw him, it was on a cold evening.”She paused, swallowing ba

At that moment Serenity stood still, her arms folded tightly across her chest, her brows furrowed in disbelief. The room felt cold—not because of the temperature, but because of the weight of what Winston's father had just said. Her heart pounded harder as his words echoed again in her head.“Three hundred years…” he muttered, voice laced with rage and helplessness. “That’s what his body is aging toward. In hours. Not decades.”He was pacing now, his hands trembling, not from fear—but fury. “Someone… someone did this to my son. To a member of this family! They didn’t just attack Winston—they attacked our name.”Serenity clenched her jaw. Her eyes darkened as she watched him struggle to remain composed. She didn’t like Winston. She never had. But this… this was far beyond personal feelings. It was about blood. About legacy. And someone had dared to stain it.“No,” she said sharply, stepping forward. “This is unacceptable. No one—no one—touches a member of this family and walks away. An

The understated miraculous Doctor. Chapter Two Hundred and Seventy Eight
At that moment the ground cracked beneath him as London’s brother roared—his body, now soaked in dark red mist, pulsated with corrupted energy. The warehouse trembled under the weight of his aura.Without a word, he raised his hand and unleashed it.A massive gust of decay burst from his palm like a cannon—corrosive wind screaming across the air, devouring the concrete floor in its path. Metal groaned and turned brittle in an instant. The entire space darkened, shadows dancing like spirits trapped in a storm.Damien didn’t blink. With a soft exhale, he shifted one foot back, adjusting his weight with perfect calm. His fingers came together in a slow, deliberate snap.Snap.From Damien’s fingers, a soft flash of white bloomed—a pulse of pure light, warm and yet impossibly sharp. It wasn't fire. It wasn't wind. It was something far more refined. More ancient. The white energy stretched wide like a dome, meeting the dark decay in mid-air.“Boom.”The collision was silent for a moment—the

People like Jessica who realizes their mistakes late amuse me. Then she'd realize what she lost, smh
Redrotica
Damien's humility is beautiful, and he's got a loving circle who watch his back.
Royal fairy
I love Damien humility and selflessness sooooo much ...….. and as for Jessica she’ll soon realize what she lost haha ... our mighty goodness crawling up to Damien to save her grandfather after belittling him

They hve been follwng Sophia to kidnap her on 268 and all they ask is wht is Damien's nme? They already said no mtter who thy dont care then why not just storm the mansion of damien when they know where she came from? Forced plots and unrealistic settings are so dumb it irritates readers you know?
Rhienne Figueroa
Here we go again long winded unnecessary long chapter starting in 268 onwards about Sophia's interrogation filled with nothing but how characters feel, facial expressions and what they are thinking. Summarize it all and each chapter only has 5 to 10 sentences that matter. Again with so much nonsense

It just had to stop right before the good part. You sly bastard. You got me there. More chapters cmon.

Finally some story progession. Calm and agreessive is more interesting 4 MC. Now I just look forward to the long roast of serenity from her grandfather on what she did. If damien does not voice why he wants to cancel engagement with his grandpa that would be boring. i hope he list down all negatives
Blurry Mamba
calm all the time = full retard. at least he finally smiled. cant even imagine mc developing feelings for any romance to start on this story cause he is so emotionless that terminators would feel shamed. serinity is pissed with mc mainly because of his auto retard mode. its like talking to a wall
Blurry Mamba
something cool for once done on lastest update. im no masochist to frustrtion and insults to mc that does not fight back. i almost drop this book due to slow development and lame mc. being calm is good but it gets old fast and just turns lame after a while. hope mc stops being full retard all d time
Rhienne Figueroa
one good example of authors is LiLhyz, stories are not too long and not too short and all have endings. each work has thousands of followers because readers have confidence on the author in not dragging it long but delivers good stories, thats how you make it big and succeed. you have the potential
tmothy dayawan
247 rocking it. Thats what people want. This is fast paced and should be like this. Minimal shit dialogue and more action, less internal dialogue. The man has all the power. It does not make sense if he stays quiete all the time. I would prefer this to be minimum 1k chapters to be finished or2k most
Tim Dayawan
1 star only for this. at first it was good but after chapter 70ish its no longer fast paced. this is the first time i saw an author writing more than 10 chapters just to stop MC from doing his job to cure side char. worst is he keeps doing it even on side chars. dont read it waste of money and time!

this is similar to a couple of other books I've read but has enough differences that it makes an interesting. I enjoy the main character Damian's personality and humility. the book is edited pretty good.
