Chapter One
The Little Village Clinic buzzed with life on the sunny morning. Damien, the only male healer apprentice, tried to focus on sorting herbs, but the giggles laugh kept breaking his concentration. His cheeks turned pink as he heard footsteps coming closer. “Oh, Healer Damien!” Stella called out , batting her eyes. “I have this terrible pain right here.” She pointed to her Left breast, tugging at her collar so slightly and it made some part of her breast exposed for Damien to see. “I can go fetch some other female Healer for you.” Damien stammered, his hands fumbling with the herbs he was counting. At that moment another apprentice, Alice, leaned against his work table. “But you're so much better at finding the sore spots, Damien,” she said with a sweet smile. “Your hands are gentler than the others.” Immediately the other girls nodded in agreement, surrounding Damian's table like butterflies drawn to honey. At that moment Damien wished the ground would swallow him whole. Being the only male among his master's ten apprentices was a daily test of his patience. “Ladies, please,” he said firmly, trying to sound more confident than he felt. “There are real patients waiting and–” “We are real patients!” They chorused, breaking into fresh laughter. Just then, a messenger boy rushed in, holding a scroll sealed with golden wax. “Urgent letter for Healer Damien!” The room fell silent. Everyone knew that a golden seal message meant- it came from Westlake. Damien's hands calmly broke the wax, immediately his eyes scanned through the letter before setting it aside and returning to his herb sorting. “Damien?” Stella walked closer to Damien. “You're being mysterious. What does it say?” She pointed at the letter. He glanced up from his work, hands never stopping their methodical movements. “The fiancée Master Raymond arranged for me wishes to end our engagement.” “What?” The other apprentices crowded around his table, their morning tasks forgotten. “How dare she!” Immediately Stella collected the letter from the table, and the other apprentice walked closer as they began to read through it. [I, War Goddess Serenity, have ascended to heights you cannot hope to match. Our engagement, arranged by your master, no longer befits my status. I hereby dissolve our betrothal. Do not attempt to contact me again!] Stella slammed her palm on the herb table, sending dried leaves scattering. “A War Goddess? Ha! My father commands ten thousand special forces in the South!” Alice jade bracelet clinked as she crossed her arms. “My family guards the Sacred Spring of Healing. Without our blessed waters, her soldiers would never recover from battle wounds.“ “We should march to Westlake right now,” declared Stella. “I’m going to teach her a lesson!” “Wait,” Damien raised his hands, his voice gentle but firm. “Please, all of you. There's something you should all know.” The apprentices fell silent, their anger momentarily forgotten as they watched him pull out an old jade pendant from beneath his robes. Its surface was carved with mysterious medical symbols that seemed to pulse with a faint green light. “Two years ago, before the Master left on his journey, he told me something important.” Damien's fingers traced the pendant's edges. “He said the engagement could only be ended by one person - my fiancée's grandfather.” “But you've never even met her!” protested Stella. Damien nodded. “That's true. He said I needed to visit her family personally to make the engagement official. And he was very clear - only her grandfather could dissolve it. No one else's word matters, not even the War Goddess herself. So even if I want to cancel this engagement myself, I still have to get my fiancee’s grandfather’s approval.” Hearing Damien words the room grew even more quiet. Alice stepped forward, her earlier flirtation replaced with genuine concern. “Then this letter...” “Is meaningless,” Damien finished. He clutched the jade pendant tighter. “I have to follow his order. I'm going to meet Serenity's family.” He declared and none of the apprentices could say anything because it's the master’s instructions. Damien started packing his medicine bag. Though his heart felt heavy because he didn't like Serenity that much, he knew he must follow his master's wishes. He was about to leave when he heard his sister's voice. “Damien! Wait!” Hazel called from behind him. He turned to see his sister rushing toward him, her arms laden with parcels and boxes. Hazel stopped in front of Damien pressing a sleek black card into his palm. “The Celestial Bank's highest tier card,” she said with a wink. “It has unlimited spending. Show that War Goddess you're not just some penniless healer.” Before Damien could say anything, one of the elders pushed forward, holding out a scroll sealed with golden threads. “The deed to Phoenix Corporation. I bought it last year as a hobby, but you'll make better use of it.” She smiled sweetly. “It's only the largest medical supply company in three cities.” immediately Damien eyes widened. “Senior sister, I can't possibly–” “Nonsense!” Alice cut him off, slipping a small crystal bottle into his robes. Her voice dropped to a whisper. “Special elixir from the Butterfly Palace. One drop makes anyone's heart flutter with love, just in case Serenity is proving Stubbornness” She wiggled her eyebrows suggestively. “Alice!” Damien's face flushed crimson. The gifts kept coming, each more extravagant than the last. Just as he turned to leave, a quiet voice spoke. “One more thing, little brother.” The crowd parted as Hazel approached Damien. From her finger, she removed a simple silver ring marked with an ancient symbol. “Take this,” she said, pressing it into his palm. “I founded a small sect a long time ago. And if you ever need to use them, show them this ring, and its members will serve you without question.” Damien examined the ring, his healer's eyes noting the familiar pattern. Suddenly, his breath caught. “This symbol... Senior Sister, this is the mark of the Imperial Shadow Sect!” Damien stared at his senior sister in disbelief. Everyone knew of the Imperial Shadow Sect - the largest, most influential sect in the nation. Its members held positions in every corner of society, from top Business men and women, and top office holders in the country. And here stood its founder.Expand

Deborah’s brows furrowed, confusion written all over her face.Damien noticed her glance, and his expression didn’t waver. His voice, calm but firm, cut through the tense silence.“Like I said before… it was an earthquake,” Damien said evenly. “I was just trying to arrange my stuffs. That’s why I didn’t open the door sooner.”Then he stepped forward slightly, his presence alone enough to quiet their whispers. There was something in his tone measured, controlled that demanded they stop prying.“As you can see, I’m perfectly fine,” he continued, locking eyes with each of them in turn. “So there’s no need to worry.”Jessica, who had been trembling moments ago, bit her lip nervously and looked down at her hands. Uncle Bernard, though still suspicious, held his tongue. Deborah’s lips parted slightly, as if she wanted to ask more questions, but Damien’s calm stare silenced her before she could speak.“You should all go and rest,” Damien added, softer now but no less firm. “Tomorrow… is goin

The understated miraculous Doctor. Chapter 430
Hearing what Damien had just said, Uncle Bernard didn’t move away from the door like the others seemed ready to. Instead, he kept his hand firmly pressed against the wood, his brows furrowed in quiet suspicion. Deep down, he knew Damien’s words didn’t match his tone. There was something there something buried beneath the calm reply Damien had given. He’s hiding something, Bernard thought to himself. I know that boy’s voice. Something’s wrong in there.Even as the thought settled in his chest, Deborah stood beside him, her hands tightly clasped together in prayer. Her lips moved without pause, a whisper barely audible over the faint creak of the house settling after the earlier tremors.“Please, God… let nothing happen to him,” she muttered, her eyes shut tightly. “He’s the only one left who can protect us. If he falls, we have nothing. We have no one.”She didn’t say it aloud, but the fear clawing at her chest was simple: without Damien, their survival in this spiraling chaos was impo

The understated miraculous Doctor. Chapter 429
Deep inside, from the very core of his being, a surge of energy roared awake. It wasn’t wild or chaotic—it was controlled, precise, almost as if it belonged there all along. His heart skipped as realization sank in, the ring wasn’t gone, the ring had merged with him.He could feel it, its power coursing through his veins, rewriting him from the inside out. And then he noticed something else. His Flash Step, the technique that had always required strict focus, hours of Cultivating and enough Spiritual energy to push forward even a single level, it now hummed within him effortlessly. Damien’s eyes widened, disbelief flooding through him as he tested it internally.Level Seventy? No. Not even close. It was beyond that it was level Five hundred. At that moment his breath caught in his throat. That number shouldn’t even exist, not in any record, not in any training manual. It was the kind of mastery only whispered about in myths, the kind of power that separated mortals from legends.“Fiv

The understated miraculous Doctor. Chapter 428
At that moment, seeing that the ring didn’t work, Damien’s anger exploded silently inside him.Immediately his fist clenched so tightly that his knuckles trembled and turned white, the tendons in his hand straining against his skin. His jaw locked, the muscles in his face twitching as his teeth ground together. He couldn’t believe it, years generations, his family had guarded this ring, sacrificing everything to protect it. It had been passed down as their most sacred treasure, a burden as much as it was a legacy, keeping it for it true master, they had died for it. His parents had died for it.And now, standing here, wearing it himself, Damien felt nothing. No surge of power. No whisper of destiny. No ancient force awakening to claim him.Just… nothing, the weight of that realization burned hotter than any fire inside him.“So this is what they died for?”His chest tightened, a hollow ache deepening into fury. Without being told, he knew, knew deep in his gut that this worthless thin

The understated miraculous Doctor. Chapter 427
At that moment, Damien’s hands froze completely in mid‑seal. The faint hum of energy that had just begun to build around him dissipated instantly, vanishing into silence. His breathing steadied, but his eyes narrowed sharply as the realization struck him like a heavy blade to the chest.“If I go through with this now… it means it will empty me.”The thought echoed in his head, heavy and relentless. He knew what upgrading Flash Step to Level Seventy would demand. It wasn’t just a simple refinement of skill, it was an intense cultivation breakthrough, one that would draw upon every ounce of his spiritual energy to force his body and spirit into synchronization with the technique’s new limits. And therein lay the problem, If he used all of his energy for cultivation tonight, by tomorrow, the day of the meeting his reserves wouldn’t recover in time. At best, he would regain thirty percent. Maybe forty, if he pushed his recovery techniques to their limit. But even that wouldn’t be enough.

The understated miraculous Doctor. Chapter 426
At that moment, hearing what Damien had just said, The Brain finally understood there was no changing the outcome. He had seen Damien angry before, seen him cautious, even calculating. But this wasn’t any of those moods, this was resolve. Unshakable decision Nothing he said, no amount of logic or warnings, would ever make Damien retreat from the path he had already chosen. For a brief moment, The Brain opened his mouth to speak again, to offer one last cautionary word. But the words died before they even left his lips. Silence hung heavy on the line as the realization settled in: there was no stopping what was coming. Finally, with a tone weighed down by acceptance, he said, “Okay, Master. No problem. I will do as you say. The meeting is going to continue. The meeting is going to take place. No postponement, just like you requested.”At that moment There was the faintest pause on Damien’s end, no hesitation, no second thoughts just a simple reply, it was calm and final.“Good.”The li

A whole chapter of just walking and greating in 415 just for that. Sad part is its 1 chapter a day. If its like this better make it 3 to 5 chapters a day. I would leave this alone for a month if this is the case before reading again.

good thing your villains have variety unlike other novels that has oceon full of villains who think with their dicks till death stares them in the face. sick of those pussy hungry villains, hoping you do not go that route its just annoying. Landon is still good not over the top pervert, just a simp.

Pouring all my gems at you, less talk more action You knw i just wnt to see a finshed book not a half assed turd story prolonged with no substance n recycled scenes. So far theres non yet just hope it does not go there one day. No non-sense Damien is more like it and make it fast paced as described.

Emotions of villian characters are all in the extreme on this work to the point its like lunacy or a disease and no sense of realism. Especially victoria theres no foundation on her hate if she was normal in the head. The dialogue feels forced too dramatic. Going 400 but still minimal story progress
Rhienne Figueroa
keep up the good work man still enjoying it

man this is no longer a novel but a movie script. its so detailed all you need are actors for live action. its like one of those mexican dramas que music zoom on each person face on their eye flinch and sweat then internal monologue for each char. 5 minutes air time done but no dialogues went by lol
Rhienne Figueroa
stoped readng 4 a week and fight wth serenity n elvis still has not ended. thats right it has not. Not because it was an epic fight, not because it was a war. No, none of that. its just because of INTERNAL monologue. And because this is how you write. thats right you heard me. its because of this.
