Hundred and Sixty Eight

Isaac swung the door open and hurried inside, as soon as Evelyn set her eyes on him, she felt all the pain that she was feeling had disappeared. “Isaac?”

“Sir you can't be here!” The nurse cautioned.

“No, he is my husband please” Evelyn could not contain the excitement that she was feeling and even while Isaac was finally allowed inside, she felt placing kisses on his entire body.

“Where have you been all this while, do you understand how much I waited for you”

“I am sorry, but I was delayed. How long has she been in labor?” Isaac, who was trying to hide the pain that he was feeling from the gunshots, asked , seeing that Evelyn is fully dilated and yet the baby isn't out.

“She has refused to push and at this point, we are are considering a C-section”

“Evelyn I know that you can do this, please do it for both of us!” He encouraged and she nodded her head, no doubt that she was ready to push and at the command of the nurse, she went ahead to push.
