CHAPTER 7: A GRAVE MISTAKE

Sebastian groaned loudly as he fluttered his eyes open.

He flinched a little, surprised, at the sudden movement he felt beside him on the bed.

His eyes flared widely.

Sebastian let out a small inaudible gasp, as his memories refreshed.

Holding his breath, he slowly climbed down from the bed, his eyes fixated on Celeste who was still deeply asleep on the bed with the duvets covered over her.

Sebastian tiptoed his way to the living room.

He exhaled and sighed as he sat down heavily on the couch close to the glass window that stretched from the floor all the way up to the ceiling, allowing an unobstructed view of the outside.

He stared out of the room through the window as his mind wandered into deep thoughts.

How could he have been so shameless to sleep with Celeste.

He rubbed the nap of his neck in worry.

What if her parents found out about it?

They obviously would not be pleased to hear that the stranger they had helped slept with their only daughter, in less than a week of knowing them.

He heaved a deep sigh in distress.

How was he so weak to control his own urge!

'sebastian!' He battered himself in his thoughts,

Just at that moment, Celeste walked into the living room to where Sebastian sat.

Sebastian's shirt, a big white polo hung loosely on her body,

She settled herself next to Sebastian on the couch, abruptly wrapped her arm around his.

Sebastian slightly and swiftly rolled his eyes,

This was all happening so fast?

Why was Celeste acting like they were an official couple already?!

Well, they literally had sex, what was more?

"Hey, What is it?" Celeste asked, her tone sultry and overly soft, it was unusual.

Sebastian slowly turned to gaze at Celeste, but just as he was about to say something...

His phone buzzed with a text, it was on the table in front of him.

He gently pulled Celeste's arms away from his as he bent forward and picked up the phone.

It was a text, from the Kensington Tech company, informing him that he was expected to resume work in two weeks time.

A little smile curved up on his lips.

He finally had a job.

This was the fresh start of a good life for him and he didn't want anything to ruin it.

He had to be focused.

Slowly, he rose to his feet and moved to sit at the other couch facing Celeste.

A line appeared between Celeste's brows. She gazed at him with confusion and a twisted frown on her face,

"What's wrong?" She asked in a gentle and somber tone. She sensed something was wrong. And it broke her heart to think that she might the cause of it.

Sebastian let out a soft sigh as he nervously rubbed his palms together.

He was about to say something that Celeste would definitely not want to hear.

But he had to do it.

He felt nothing for Celeste,

To be sincere it was too Short to!

Maybe he would start to feel something as time goes but nah...he wasn't in for that.

He had more serious things to do.

"Talk to me Sebastian, your silence is Killing me," Celeste pressed on, her tone still somber.

Sebastian let out a soft sigh again as he finally looked up to gaze at her.

"What happened between us shouldn't have happened, Celeste. It was a mistake and I should have done something to stop it, for that I'm so sorry," Sebastian spoke softly.

He sat up as he could clearly see the tears gleaming in Celeste's eyes.

'oh shit'

He jerked up on his feet and immediately started to walk over to her but before he got to her, Celeste was already up to her feet and on her way to his room.

Sebastian stood still and just stared at her,

She came back out seconds later with her things piled up on her arms.

One final look at Sebastian with her teary eyes, she walked out of the room without uttering a single word.

Sebastian let out a loud sigh as he fell back on the couch. He rested his head on it.

'way to go Sebastian, you just broke the heart of the heir to the Kensington family'

Jake stood shirtless, in front of a big mirror in his dimly lit room.

A small sly smile curled up on his lips as his thoughts wandered to Hannah and Sebastian, Jake suddenly started to laugh out loudly.

Jake Gonzalez,

The son to Gonzalez,

A very powerful Mafia in the city of Cedarville and the heir to the powerful Mafia empire that his father would eventually leave behind when he retires.

Jake stopped laughing, he held a peeved expression on his face as his thoughts wandered back to Hannah and how she bluntly humiliated him, all because of that loser, Sebastian.

He fixed his gaze on the mirror, staring at himself through it. His shirtless torso reflected back at him.

His muscles were like marble statues, perfectly sculpted, His arms were toned and powerful, while his chest was broad and strong.

A small smile curled up on his lips, but it disappeared immediately as his thoughts wandered back to Hannah and Sebastian.

He felt sullen towards both of them.

And he had to teach them both a lesson.

He grinned wickedly.

Hannah laid on the bed, blankly staring up at the ceiling.

It felt like her heart was ripping to a thousand pieces.

She felt so restless.

She wanted Sebastian!

She couldn't control the intense desire that was all built up inside her in such a short time.

Her feelings for Sebastian had died down a long time ago, but then why did she suddenly feel this way about him.

"Uhhhh..fuck!" she groaned loudly as she rolled over on the bed, pressing a pillow on her head.

It was driving her crazy, piling her head with weird ideas.
