‘’Boss, all I’m asking is an order from you to teach the lunatic a lesson,’’ Kubus said over the phone gnashing his teeth. A loud thud could be heard from the other end of the line. Kubus worried at this point asked, ‘’Boss are you alright?’’

Then a thunderous roar from the man was blasted into Kubus’s ear through the phone, ‘’just shut up, let me think, can’t you see I’m losing it?’’ he pause for few seconds then continued, ‘’Do whatever it is he tells you, do you fucking understand? That’s all for now, bye.’’ With that Innocent ended the call from his side.

Kubus was shocked. For as long as he could recollect he has never Innocent fearful and out of solution. He couldn’t stop himself from calling him back, ‘’boss are you mistaken? He is just some retard married into the Walter family.’’ Innocent took the words out of Kubus’s mouth, ‘’do you want to get yourself killed? Just do whatever he tells you, if you want to see the sun set tomorrow. And please do not redial my number.’’ The call ended abruptly.

Kubus was stunned, when he regained his composure, he realized he was sweating uncontrollably and his legs were shaking.

Deborah stepped forward with some files and a smile on her face she said, ‘’Kubus I’ve made payment, it’s left for you to sign the necessary documents then the deal will be sealed. I will like to celebrate my birthday in the new house and the birthday is in two days.’’

Kubus looked at her, ‘’you said you have nothing to do with them, huh?’’ Deborah nodded elegantly. ‘’Now you can leave he said,’’ showing a brutal look at her.

‘’But Kubus, I need you to confirm my payment of one million dollars and also you need to sign the property I just bought over to ….’’ Just as she was still talking, Kubus landed a slap on her face. Deborah turned red just immediately.

The sudden turn of events shocked everyone. The strong slap sent Deborah faltering, and her delicate cheek swelled immediately. She covered her mouth in disbelief. Her eyes teared up and as she cried, she demanded that Kubus shoud refund her money back or…’’or what? Kubus asked, with that he grabbed her in the hand out of his office.

Khloe instinctively tugged Quincy’s sleeve, asking softly, Quincy, let’s go…..before Quincy could say a word, Kubus strode over to him. Khloe has never being this scared. She was trembling and breathing so fast. To her surprise, Kubus gave a ninety degree bow and said with a trembling voice, ‘’Mr. Stone, please I am deeply sorry for my manners, do find it in your heart to forgive me.’’

What happened? Khloe was shocked. Kubus was like a different person after he answered the call. ‘’so are we signing the necessary document for the land?’’ Quincy was not surprised by the sudden change of mood and behavior of Kubus. Obviously Scot has handled everything.

Kubus nodded repeatedly, ‘’Yes, yes! Yes of course. I will make it happen right away.’’ Khloe could not figure out what happened, she looked at Quincy from time to time, wondering if he did something to the man.

 At the same time in a mansion somewhere in the city, the famous Innocent Chim was on his knees before a tall man in a formal suit, Scot said coldly, ‘’Innocent, kudus to you, it seems like you are not stupid at all. If something happens to my boss, you will be locked up behind bars forever.’’

‘’Thank you for the mercy, Chief Commander. Innocent breathed a sigh of relief after escaping the sentence, he bowed and begged. ‘’I have no idea that the God of War himself is in Gatto Republic and he got into a conflict with my boys. With due respect I beg to set up a feast for the God of War to make up for my boy’s mistake?’’

‘’I will definitely deliver your message’’, Scot replied him.

Lilly court was an old district in Gato Republic, where Khloe and her parent’s shabby house was located. The sky was dark upon Khloe and Quincy’s return. When they arrived, at the entrance her parents   rushed out immediately.

‘’Khloe dear, are you alright? Did that gangster hurt you> packing her hair in a ponytail, Khloe answered, ‘’mummy, I am absolutely fine. Thanks to Quincy we were able to recover the property.’’ Then Khloe looked at Quincy.

‘’What did he do? You actually believe this retard can get anything done right? Kimberly glanced at Quincy annoyingly and explained, ‘’after you left, Charles got so restless, worried about your safety he decided to call Kubus and help out.

It was Charles? Khloe was a bit surprised upon hearing her mother. Quincy subtly narrowed his eyes.

‘’Charles even suggested we go for dinner, and maybe he will make it official. And you not going to refuse him.’’ Kimberly grabbed Khloe by the hand and took her the stairs, Khloe kept looking back at Quincy.

‘’If I go out tonight, what about Ashley?’’ Khloe asked softly. Her dad, Hector Walter said with a beaming smile ‘’Ashley will go over to Sara’s, we already discussed it with her and she agreed to nanny her tonight.’’ Khloe looked at Quincy with a troubled expression she said, ‘’and Quincy?’’ stop worrying about this ex-husband of yours. Everything ends tonight.’’

Quincy frowned.

‘’Quincy what is that look on your face? Get the hell out of my house, you are not welcomed here anymore,’’ Khloe’s father bellowed with displeasure.

 Just immediately, a Land Rover stopped in front of their house. A slender blonde beautiful lady came out of the car, she was Penelope, Khloe’s friend.

 ‘’Hey everyone, where is Khloe? Charles told me to pick you guys up, and how is my little kitten Ashley doing? Penelope turned around and sighted Quincy and it made her angry. Quincy? What are you doing hanging around Khloe? Charles will be proposing tonight. Aren’t you ashamed to still be hanging around her If you are a man, stay away from her let her pursue a better life with Charles.’’

‘’Charles is the next in line to inherit his family business. His father Rodger Hill finger is the chairman of the biggest construction company in the city. Charles can provide Khloe with a good luxurious life, look at you, other than pains and agony what can you give Khloe?’’ Kim nodded in agreement.

Quincy gently said, ‘’Penelope, what I can give Khloe is not what a peasant like you can imagine.
