Quinn stood inside the house.
It was amazing that such a place already had such nice security. “It's just a matter of time, Lisa Rodriguez, that your family would kneel down and beg for my forgiveness. This is just the beginning.” Quinn smiled as he watched her through the camera. Turning away, he started to calculate what he needed to do. Exactly tomorrow in the afternoon, there would be news about an incoming typhoon. Although that would be a fake report, Quinn knew it was where it all began. First the typhoon news, followed by the update about Hurricane Kasai, and then the massive flood. Quinn got out a piece of paper. “Food, water, gas, fuels, clothes. Yes, a lot of thick clothes.” Quinn said. In his last life, the ice age had lasted for a long time so he knew he had to stay prepared. “I would be able to stock them in the underground garage.” Quinn noted to himself. Then he raised his phone to his ear. “Good day Mr. Benson.” “Quinn! My boy. I heard the news, massive congratulations.” Quinn smiled. Mr. Benson was someone who had assisted him in dire times and he knew when to appreciate people. “Thank you Mr. Benson. I appreciate you and I'd like to place a large order.” Quinn got straight to business. “Yes, I'd see if I can help. I have a few connections, just let me know what you need.” Mr. Benson said, and he took a pen. He was expecting the man to stock up since he had gotten a new house. It was basically something for the first few months. That was how most house owners planned their new relocations. He was familiar with everything. “I want to order one hundred and fifty cartons of instant noodles, twenty bags of rice and fifty sachets of rice seeds. I want you to also canned tuna, salmon, beef, every food canned. I want them all. About two hundred of each. That would be enough.” Quinn said. And he kept writing the list down. Mr. Benson nearly dropped his phone. “Quinn. I mean, Mr. Quinn. Don't you think this is too much stuff? Are you planning to do charity?” Mr. Benson swallowed, looking at the least in front of him. Quinn chuckled, “Just do this for me, Mr. Benson. And I'd also advise that you should follow my steps and stock up a bit. The weather is changing and there might be some disasters.” Quinn said and then he lowered his voice. “Don't say I didn't tell you but it's mainly the hunch of a young man.” Mr. Benson didn't know what to say. But Quinn continued speaking, “I think this is a lot to actually talk about over the phone. I have a list that I can send to you.” “Yes, that would be much easier and faster.” Benson quickly agreed. He wasn't sure he could handle listening to so much goods “Thank you Mr. Benson.” Quinn uttered and ended the call. He forwarded the long write up to Mr. Benson. It was a list he has seen from a random apocalypse blog Who would have thought that things like this would actually come in handy. His phone pinged, it was a text from Mr. Benson. “These would be very expensive to get access to.” The text read. Quinn understood where the man was coming from. “Please forward your account details.” Quinn replied back and in the next minute, Benson had already sent the numbers. Quinn pressed the buttons on his phone and the transfer was quickly made. Mr. Benson looked at his phone after hearing the credit notification from his bank. “Oh my freaking days. This man is serious! Twelve million dollars. This would be more than enough.” Then he opened his text and realized that Quinn had sent in another list. “This is related to more technical goods and materials. I should be able to contact my friends.” Mr. Benson calculated as he read the list. “If the money isn't enough, please let me know, Sir.” Quinn's text came in again and it made Mr. Benson nod his head in satisfaction. It was nice to see that young men like him wouldn't lose their training over getting rich. Quinn was done with booking the materials. He simply had to wait for their delivery. A knock came from the door of his house. “Good day Sir. I'm the renovation contractor, I'd like to check the place and know what you'd like to do.” The man said from outside the door. Quinn smiled, his plan was coming together. “Steel reinforced concrete in these walls and I want you to tear out every single window in this house. Replace them all with impact-resistant glass, and pressure sealed frames. I want you to use the best quality.” Quinn pointed to each part of the house while the man merely jotted. “Get all your men on deck, hire more if you have to. I want a basement in this place. Four levels deep and four levels wide. Each level would have a different compartment. One to be heat resistant and another to be cold resistant. I want you to build me a pantry underground.” The contractor stopped in his steps. It wasn't his place to ask questions but he couldn't help it. “Sir, this would take us months to cover, are you sure about this.” Quinn narrowed his eyes, “I was told you were amongst the fastest people in this field. I don't have months. I want it completed in three weeks. I would pay anything.” The contractor swallowed. “Even if it's up to a hundred million dollars, just name your damned price. I want everything done to the very detail. Is that okay?” Quinn raised a brow. If they didn't follow him, a little mistake could lead to his death. “I need to have generators lined up at the lowest levels of the house in order to power the house in case of a power outage. Also there would be solar panels placed on every part of the roof. I need to have enough life.” Quinn explained. This was all according to what he was missing in his last life. If he had all this, he would have lived a little longer. “Is that all Sir?” The contractor cleaned the sweatdrops across his forehead. “I also want you to build me a greenhouse and a medical bay. Just let me know the price. Don't worry, I can afford it.” Quinn stated. After this month, the disasters that would appear would give no chance for money to be spent So there was no need to keep any money in his hands. “Okay Sir. You'd have to make a deposit of fifty million dollars, and sign this contract.” The contractor said and then brought out the paper. Quinn nodded, the transfer was quick and he even added an extra ten million. “I want it started today, I'd be moving out from the house to give you all a chance to renovate it according to my desire.” The contractor's hand trembled when he saw the credit alert and he swallowed deeply. “Yes Sir.”Latest Chapter

You ruined my reputation Quinn!" Lisa had tears in her eyes as she yelled at Quinn.Quinn was already used to her manipulation tactics from his previous life and nothing could redeem her from the evil her and her family did to him."You planned to destroy me Lisa, I'm just returning the favour" he barely looked at her as the construction workers had already resumed their work. He wanted to humiliate her more but there were more important things right now."I'll make you regret this Quinn" Lisa yelled after him but he ignored her as he received an alert on his phone. It was a red alert for everyone warning them to take shelter from the incoming typhoon but he knew it was a false news.Quinn merely glanced at the notification. In his previous life, this same warning had sent thousands of people into a frenzy, only for nothing to happen. The real disaster would come soon and by then, it would be too late for anyone who wasn't prepared."Keep working!" He yelled to the construction worke

Quinn frowned at each and everyone of them.He was making sure their faces were engrained in his memory. In the coming of the harsh apocalypse, he would turn his back on everyone.Lisa didn't want to say anything but she knew that his stance was valid.“And you think you can come to my house without a police warrant? Harassing my workers? What level of stupidity.”Quinn said, then the hint of a smile appeared on his face.Wealth was good.Wealth was power. And before money lost its value, he would make sure to appropriately use it.Before Lisa left his house, he had gotten a set of people to follow her. These were easily found on the dark web, he just needed to pay these people.“Since you all have no evidence. I'm going to give you mine.”Quinn took out his phone, and opened the door to this house.Lisa could feel the dread rising from within her.She hated where this was going and there was no way she could leave at the moment. These people held her tight. The spacious living room w

In his past life, Quinn had always been timid, but after the apocalypse in the struggle for food, he had grown to be wise.“You are making a big mistake, Harold. Didn't I teach you a lesson prior?” Quinn narrowed his eyes Harold felt a bit of trepidation, but then he looked around to the men surrounding him..“The only thing you are good at is bluffing. And once I get rid of you, we can get back the money that truly belongs to my family.”Harold lashed out, but Quinn only chuckled.“Come at me then, if you think I'm joking around.”“Get him!” Harold yelled out.In the quiet alleyway, most people wouldn't be able to notice what was going on.But Quinn didn't want them to notice.Because he has not come here with an ounce of mercy. The reason for him being here was simply to kill.To get rid of anything that would ruin his chances in the upcoming disasters. The first man came forth.Having experienced this in his past life, Quinn could already predict the movement. And another thing, h

CHAPTER 7The manager instantly rushed down.A Flintshire was not someone he could dare to offend. What was this customer talking about though? They had made extreme efforts to train every one of their staff on good behaviour and customer service. But sweat pooled on the manager's head, this wasn't just a customer This was a Flintshire and with a single statement, he could lose his high paying job.Quinn stood, checking his watch when a man walked up to him.Looking down, he realised this person was also wearing a salesman tag.“Good day Sir. Are you interested in any one of our cars? I can show you a few of them if you just tell me your preference.” The young man said, giving Quinn a smile.Quinn looked at the man before letting out a sigh.“Okay. I'd give the company one more chance.”Although the man didn't understand what Quinn was talking about, he still waited.“I want something like a truck but lightweight and with bulletproof glasses, and it should also be fast.” Quinn tried

Quinn walked to his new house. It was perfect and with the right amount of space.Since he came back, he had been unable to test the extent of the power he had received.“A spatial space.” Quinn muttered. The next moment, he thought about the space and he blinked, only to appear in the white area again.“I can access it just by thinking of entering it.” Quinn muttered to himself.Currently he had nothing with him to test if this space could actually hold items.Quinn started walking far. Then he realised that this place was actually bigger than he thought and no matter how he tried to explore it, he just couldn't see the end.Quinn left the spatial area He would have Mr. Benson deliver all the goods to this place and then he could load them into the spatial space. He took out his phone and quickly sent the new address.Mr. Benson was quick to see the update and reacted to it.Quinn liked the fact that the windows in this place were actually top notch.“Okay this would be able to blo

Quinn had sorted the first stage. Now for the second back up plan, he needed to get ready for the upcoming storm.“Hello James. I might need your help again. I need to buy another house, and I want you to keep this confidential. The house should be situated on high ground with a very sturdy ground base. A foundation that can withstand even the strongest of floods.”Quinn explained. He wasn't even sure such a place existed but he had to try his luck.“Oh! There's a place that was built recently and we have tested the whole area. It matches your exact description. The place available right now is the pent house at the highest level.”“I'd buy that.”“But it's a lot more expensive than the first.” James tried to warn me, but then he saw the credit alert of twenty million naira.“Thank you Sir Quinn, but the actual amount is fifteen million naira.” James looked at his phone againQuinn had sent him the details of a bank account.“I'd be expecting a refund of the remaining amount.
