Her next words struck like nails dragged across a chalkboard.

Adrian exhaled once, deeply.

He pulled out his phone again and dialed the number of the general manager of Elite properties that Julia has sent to him.

Adrian’s thumb tapped the call.

The line connected after the first ring.

“Yes—hello? This is Sylvester.” The man’s tone was professional.

Adrian did not even exchange greeting s with him.

“Sylvester,” he said coldly, “I need you to come down. Now.”

Is he being serious?
