Chapter 2 : Landing in trouble with a beauty!

Inside one of the many lecture theatres of the Brayden institute of technology a bunch of students could be seen paying full attention to a professor who looked more like a Diva than a professor. They were so concentrated that even a bomb blast could not have shaken them,it was as if the professor was telling them the essence of the universe itself!

Obviously,she wasn't talking about any bullshity universe essence,rather she was taking the most difficult course in the whole of Zelda country's syllabus.

Quantum relativity!

This course had a reputation for massive student failures with even the best of the best admitting that they weren't up to the task.

In fact one of the star student of a certain ivy league college openly announced that he would rather take another course instead of this particular one.

It was just that difficult!

Thus it was understandable why all the students had their attention superglued to the hot mod..cough professor apart from her smoking hot figure that is....well all except one person.

In a corner at the very end of the lecture theater a young man could be seen sleeping without a care for the world,drool hanging from his mouth. It was as if all the complex stuff being explained couldn't even faze him which was true since he was sleeping anyway.

“Hmmmm…?”

Noticing this particular student who wasn't paying attention to her lecture Professor Germaine was visibly surprised. Although she had a laid-back approach towards lecturing she knew that each of her words were taken by the students like a sacred scripture due to the difficulty of the course,hence her surprise when she noticed this ‘brave’ soul sleeping.

Soon all the students noticed that professor Germaine had stopped lecturing and they all turned their heads in the direction she was looking at.

“Someone should wake him up, this instant!”

While she might be laid back that didn't mean the students could also be,she wasn't going to tolerate any form of nonsense.

The Quantum relativity course was something that she knew how difficult it was, she had always believed that all the students that were able to achieve the criteria to study this course would be the cream of the crop,there would be no way for a lazy student to even make the cut but sometimes there were exceptions and some rascals slipped in through luck.

She had already made a mental note to add this student to her blacklist and pull up his file later but first she would use him as an example.

Someone quickly woke him up.

“Ugh.. my head,where am I?The D-rank zombie king

…what happened?"

Groggily standing up the sleeping student slowly scanned around while grabbing his head. He had the look of someone who had a hangover after a full night of drinking and gaming causing professor Germaine's impression of him to plummet more,he definitely has to be a bad student, she thought.

Naturally,the young man was none other than Dante!

After the system had initiated it's life saving protocol he wasn't given any chance to prepare before the system threw him into some quantum space tunnel.

He had held on for a while and according to his estimates he had probably drifted on for years! No wonder those recluses from Wuxia usually went crazy!

Eventually he wasn’t able to hang on causing him to lose consciousness.

About five minutes ago when he regained consciousness he was shocked to discover that he had actually been transported into his past self's body.

Furthermore,his injuries were also all gone!

He was still in shock when he woke up and somehow he found himself in this situation where the whole class was looking at him with pity and a hot beauty was glaring at him like he dumped her. Puzzled, he muttered to himself.

”I can't remember having a girlfriend in college…wait a minute,hot face,model like body…holy cow I'm screwed!..”

“Young man, do you know that sleeping in class is a serious offence? And don’t bother denying …”

“Yes I do and I accept all punishments!"

"....you weren't…hmmm?” Hearing the student calmly accept his mistakes, Professor Germaine stared in confusion as she was expecting him to deny it. It was a trait all students had hence her surprise when he readily accepted.

However,her bad impression of him didn't decrease, instead it increased!

“Since you clearly have nothing better to do than sleep in my class, why don’t you enlighten us? Tell the whole class,what is dimensional splicing?”

“Holy cow,he's gotten her angry…!”

“Who asked him to sleep in class anyway?"

"Serves him right!”

Immediately the whole class went into an uproar as everyone started murmuring.This dimensional splicing stuff was one of the trickiest aspects of quantum relativity.

Technically he should be able to answer since he had been transported back into his younger body but after fighiting against zombies and monsters for over five years in the apocalypse remembering his own name was a miracle!

“Well done system, taking me from one problem to another,just welldone!"

Cursing the system in his mind he was prepared to straight up admit he knew nothing when he heard a loud ding followed by a black screen filled with golden runes suddenly pop up in front of him.

“Isn't this…"

[Ding! Mission initiated!]

The Champion can't be ignorant and has initiated a duel of knowledge after annoying professor Germaine due to his bad behaviour,prove her wrong and save your reputation!

Penalty for failure: Public humiliation +50 .Reputation loss: -20. Professor’s Aggression: +40.

Conditions for failure:

Champion fails to explain the subject matter with a credibility rating of 85% or higher.

“Damn so you're still there,why the hell did you pop out without a warning! And you've got to be kidding me with this mission right?”

[It's advised Champion stops whining like a kid and focuses on the mission.]

Cursing at the system only to receive a scolding, Dante was utterly speechless!

I'm supposed to be the boss here, remember!

He however,wasn't going to be petty and argue with a bot…or whatever the system was,he was above that!

Putting his attention back where his money was he couldn't help but frown,with his gaming experience from before the apocalypse ,missions like this typically had a hidden meaning especially with the inclusion of a condition for failure.

It was just that he really didn't remember anything!

Right then,the system's cold voice came through again.

[It has been discovered that Champion has the perquisite knowledge,do you want to update your database? Yes/ No.]

Hearing the system's suggestion,he couldn't help but feel like someone sent him bread when he was hungry,immediately he agreed. The next moment a bulb lit up in his mind and things that he had learnt long ago suddenly came back to him. It was as if someone arranged everything for him on a shelf.

His panicked expression suddenly disappeared replaced by an expression of confidence and calmness.

Clearing his throat,he started speaking.

"Dimensional splicing is the manipulation of quantum-level spacetime intersections—think of it as slicing through the layered structure of reality. You’re not moving through space the way a car moves down a road; you’re editing the fundamental fabric of space itself, cutting and stitching moments, locations, and even dimensional states…….."

Initially professor Germaine wasn't expecting any answer from Dante at all,thus when he started speaking she wasn't really paying attention. However the more he went on the more she couldn't help but be surprised,he actually was explaining it! And he was explaining it so well that a lot of complex stuff suddenly became simple causing everyone,herself included, to suddenly quieten down and listen.

"......however it’s only theoretical for now, because we don’t have a unified model of quantum relativity,if we could quantify how entangled regions of space behave under curvature stress and collapse points though

splicing wouldn’t just be possible—it’d be inevitable!"

Phew that was tiring,why's everyone looking at me like that? Wait a minute did I say rubbish?

Done with the lengthy explanation he finally was able to see everyone's shocked faces and for a moment he was scared as he thought he had messed up big time.

Right then,professor Germaine smiled while saying.

“Mr Dante it seems I misjudged you,your explanation was simply overkill. Congratulations, you've redeemed yourself."

Clap!

No one knew who started it but soon the whole hall erupted with thunderous applause and cheering.

I guess I got it right then.Phew that was close.

Rinnnnng,rinnnnng!

Right then the class bells suddenly went off signalling the end of the class.All the students packed their stuff and we're already leaving. He was also about to leave when professor Germaine spoke again while biting her lips as if considering something before speaking.

“Err……Dante,don't leave yet, follow me to my office,I'll like to have a chat with you.”

Instantly,the whole class quietened and the moment she got out everybody erupted.

“Oh boy,I'm screwed!"
