Chapter 31
Maximus folded his hands at his back as he paced around his office. He paused, rubbing his chin, and gulped the water but it still wasn’t able to keep him at ease, he started pacing again.

He paused in front of the small panoramic window, staring at the bustling morning sight of the city. For a while, it soothed his heart but it wasn’t able to completely get rid of his worry.

“Boss.” As soon as Myles stepped into his office, he faced him with anxiety permeating through his eyes.

Myles had knocked but because he was deep thinking, he didn’t hear it.

“Where have you been?” He asked him.

“Have you forgotten you asked me to check on the suspect?” Myles tried to jog down his memory as he trailed off, and he nodded his head.

“That’s true.” He exhaled shortly.

“What's the update?” His statement followed.

“The man is an ordinary man as he looked. I followed him for half a day and noticed he did menial work for a living. He didn’t do anything suspicious. He spends almost ten hours at his places
