“Arion,” Farrel’s voice turned serious, “a person only changes when forced into desperate situations. But every change comes with failure or danger. As long as you endure, you’ll succeed. But if you show even the slightest weakness, the opportunity will vanish forever.” His words were like a proverb, advice from someone who had seen many of life’s darkest corners.

Though his words sounded reassuring, there was hidden sorrow in his tone, as if Farrel understood something only Arion knew. Arion fell silent, his body freezing in the cold of winter. He was certain no one knew about the Demon-Sealing Sword—not even Farrel. Perhaps his transformation from a mere network admin to a bodyguard had made Farrel believe he had undergone a great metamorphosis.
