Upon hearing the words of Victoria's Father, the air in the hall turned ice instantly. Fear and confusion hung heavily in the air, as the people gathered inside stared at one another, desperately trying to understand how everything had fallen apart so quickly. Victoria stood among them, her face still filled with confusion as she paced the floor.

As Victoria's mother questioned her, a triumphant smile slowly spread across Victoria's lips. For once, she could barely contain her excitement. Everything was finally beginning to fall into place."So why are you smiling," her mother muttered.Victoria's smile widened."Something we weren't even expecting," she continued, something that might completely change our situation. Something that could skyrocket us, elevate us, push us far above everyone else ..."She suddenly stopped. Her hands tightened around her waist."...and now that opportunity is actually here."Upon hearing Victoria's words, her mother looked at her with confusion.Victoria walked farther into the room, her heels tapping softly against the floor."And we're not going to stand around watching someone else take it."Her voice dropped into a sharp, conspiratorial whisper."You remember the important person I told you about? The one who's supposed to visit Silver 's family?"Her mother nodded slowly."Well..."Victo

Upon hearing what her parents had said, Victoria shook her head.“My friend Silver didn’t ask for anything,” she explained. “She didn’t ask us for anything at all. The problem is just the timing. That’s the bad news.”Her parents exchanged a confused look.“What happened?” her mother asked.Victoria sighed before continuing.“Silver’s family is currently celebrating something. They’re expecting someone tomorrow and not just anyone. It’s a very important person, someone with enough status to have the entire family waiting on him.”She paused, then shook her head in disbelief.“Their entire mansion has practically been turned upside down because of this guest. Everyone is busy preparing. Servants are running around, family members are occupied, and nobody has time for anything else. They were so overwhelmed that they could barely attend to me when I arrived.”Her mother frowned. “Then what did Silver say?”“She said she would find Raymond within seventy-two hours.”Victoria’s voice hard

Victoria’s father, Mr Anderson paced back and forth across the hardwood floor of the living room, his heavy footsteps echoing through the tense silence. He had been doing it for so long that even the servants had started avoiding his path.Every few seconds, he glanced toward the front entrance, his brows drawn tightly together. His fingers kept curling and uncurling at his sides, betraying the anxiety he was desperately trying to hide. The entire family sat in silence, waiting for Victoria. Waiting to find out whether she had managed to save them from the disaster hanging over their heads." Anderson please," Victoria’s mother finally said. Her voice was soft, but her trembling hands gave away how frightened she truly was. She clutched the handkerchief in her lap and watched her husband pace another round. "You need to sit down. You're going to wear a hole through the rug.""How can I sit down?"Mr Anderson stopped shortly and turned toward her. His voice was strained, though he q

Kaelen struggled to speak, as his broad chest was torn open from the devastating attack. Blood bubbled between his cracked lips with every ragged breath, yet his eyes remained fixed firmly on Raymond." Promise me you will marry her, Raymond! "I'm going to make sure you never lack anything," Raymond murmured, his voice thick with a fiercely guarded tenderness as he looked down at his resting sister. "I'm going to make sure that nobody ever harms you again. Before you even call out, before the words can even leave your lips, I will already be standing beside you."His fingers tightened slightly at his side. It was not an empty promise. Raymond had never been a man who made promises lightly. Once he gave his word, he would move heaven and earth to keep it.He remained beside the quiet bed for a moment longer, watching his sister's steady breathing. The dim light of the chamber fell across his tall figure, casting a long shadow over the floor. Despite the softness in his voice, there was still an undeniable authority surrounding him, an oppressive presence that made the entire room feel smaller.Slowly, Raymond straightened. Then he turned away from the bed, his piercing gaze landed on Gabriella "How long until she wakes?"
