Louis groaned as he struggled to stand on his feet. Before he could take another step, his daughter rushed into his arms. She wrapped herself tightly around him, burying her face into his chest.

“Dad,” she whispered, her voice shaking. “Mom died in my arms. She… she was calling your name right before she died.”

“Wh… what…” Louis stammered. “I… I’m sorry.”

Tears streamed down his daughter’s cheeks.

“She was pregnant, Dad,” Nana said, sobbing. “Mom was eight months pregnant. And then… then she was killed. Your boss killed her.”

“I’m so sorry. Everything that happened… It's my fault. I should’ve protected her. I should’ve kept you both safe.”Louis pleaded.

Louis looked at his daughter for a moment. Her eyes were red, her face wet with tears, and her hands were trembling as she held his shirt.

He gently placed his hand on her head.

“I’m sorry,” he said softly. “I’m sorry I couldn’t keep the promise I made to you and your mother.”

“I promised I’d protect you both. I promised nothing would

This agitated Ryker even more. His fists clenched at his sides, and his voice thundered through the room.“Watch and see what I’m going to do with you!”There was a moment of silence before the caller responded, his tone calm and confident, almost taunting.“You can’t do anything, Ryker. And let me warn you, Mr. Ryker, if you raise your voice at me again, I will cut off one of his fingers and send it to you. I want you to listen very carefully to what I’m about to say. Don’t yell. Don’t shout. But if you’re feeling brave, go ahead and give it a try.”Ryker narrowed his eyes. A cruel smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, looking in disbelief.“You can’t do anything,” he said confidently. “Do you really think I’m that easy to fool? BlackHood was never kidnapped. He’s sleeping right inside his room as we speak. So don’t waste your time pretending you stumbled across my number and trying to scare some cash out of me. I’m not falling for that.”There was a brief silence on the other end

“I found this,” he shouted at the top of his voice as he rushed over to Ryker, his breath quick and heavy. His eyes were wide, and his hand trembled as he held out a small object wrapped in tissue paper.Ryker turned sharply at the sound of his voice, stepping closer to take a better look. “Something must have happened here,” the man added, scanning the dimly lit hostel room with a worried expression.Ryker furrowed his brows and looked around the room. “Aren’t there any CCTV cameras inside the hostel rooms?” he asked, raising his head slightly as he tried to get a better view of the surroundings through the open doorway.“No,” the man replied, shaking his head. “BlackHood told me he removed them. The girls had complained that they felt uncomfortable being watched. He’s a kind man. Too kind, honestly. I always warned him to stop being so soft, but he wouldn’t listen.”Ryker let out a long sigh and gently took the object from the man’s hand. It was a small needle, thin and metallic, st

But… but what if we end up like, I’m just having this feeling that this plan is not going to…” Olivia muttered, her voice trembling, barely louder than a whisper. Her eyes darted nervously around the dimly lit hall, and her fingers fidgeted with the hem of her jacket. Before she could finish what she was saying ,Allesandra spun around to face her, her voice cutting through the air like a blade.“NOTHING WILL HAPPEN!” she shouted, her voice echoing off the walls of the warehouse. The room fell silent for a moment. Olivia stared at her, wide-eyed, startled by the sudden outburst. Even the other girls paused briefly in their tasks, glancing over in surprise.Allesandra quickly softened her gaze. She took a deep breath, stepping closer to Olivia. Gently, she placed both hands on her friend’s shoulders and spoke more calmly this time.“I’m sorry,” she said, her voice low and sincere. “I didn’t mean to shout at you. I really didn’t. But what I’m trying to say is that everything will be fine

  • Before He Finds Us

Clara stood up on her feet and faced the girls again. Slowly lowering her hands, she took a deep breath and began to speak, her tone serious and steady."You’ve all heard what the man said. Now, if I’m not mistaken…” she muttered, her voice calm and firm, her eyes scanning the room as she paused briefly. She glanced down at her wrist, checking the time, then turned back to the group. “We have only ten minutes left to leave this warehouse. Ryker is a very dangerous person, and you all know how powerful and ruthless he is. But I have the layout of this building. So, I’m going to guide each and every one of you out of here, and we’ll do it without crossing paths with Ryker.”The girls stood still, their eyes wide with fear and confusion. Whispers passed quietly between some of them, but no one moved. Unlike the others, Allesandra had already begun preparing. She had packed a small bag. Then Olivia, who had been standing close by, reached out and gently grabbed Allesandra’s wrist. Her voi

  • Three Shots For A Lie

“Ryker is coming to the warehouse because of the disappearance of BlackHood,” the man confessed, his voice shaky.“Disappearance of BlackHood?” Clara repeated slowly, her eyebrows drawn together in confusion. She looked at Amara, then back at the man. “What happened to him?”The man’s lips parted, ready to speak again, but before the words could leave his mouth, a soft noise came from the side. Sophia, still tied and bruised, cleared her throat deliberately, catching his attention. With just one glance, she signaled him not to say a word more.Amara noticed it immediately.“SHUT UP!” she barked, turning on Sophia with sudden rage. She stepped forward and struck her hard across the face, the sound of the slap ringing out sharply. Sophia’s head snapped to the side, her face twisting in pain, but she didn’t make a sound.“Shoot him in the leg again if he refuses to answer you,” Amara said coldly, her voice low and cold.“He already knows I’ll do that,” Clara replied, grinning with cruel

"That’s good," the girl said softly, a warm smile forming at the corners of her lips. The girl stood up slowly, brushing off the dirt from her knees. She looked down at Sophia, who still sat quietly, her hands tied tightly behind her back.Just then, a sudden sound broke through the quiet room through a low vibrating hum. The noise came from Sophia’s pocket, and it caught the attention of the entire group.“Wait,” one of the girls said, turning her head quickly in the direction of the sound. “Isn’t that an emergency alert?”Without hesitation, she moved fast to Sophia and reached out to her pocket and pulled out her phone. The screen lit up in her hand, and what she saw made her eyes widen.“Look at this,” Clara said, holding the phone up for the others to see.On the screen, a location marker blinked in red. Right above it, bold letters spelled out the name “Ryker”.Ryker will reach there within the next fifteen minutes. As the robotic voice read the message aloud from the phone, al
