"Hey man," Dylan shook hands with him. "What's up?"

Gary just murmured a response, removed his jacket, and plopped on the padded seat across from his friend. Then he grabbed the bottle of beer that his friend had ordered, poured himself a cup, and chugged it down his throat.

He sighed as he slammed the cup on the table. Then he reclined in the seat, tipped his head back, and closed his eyes. Now that was more like it, he thought. This was better than going nuts in his apartment.

The young man, around Gary's age, watched his friend in amusement. First, it was the impromptu call that they should meet at the bar. When he lazily asked why, all Gary had muttered was that he just wanted to 'chill'.
