010 Six hundred years into the past

"Little kid, my cultivation realm goes far beyond the sixteen realms of martial dao. I have completed all sixteen realms, entered the heavenly dao and I'm crushing it to the end… do not tempt me. A single breath could erase you from this existence. 

It's a simple question. Did you or did you not kill Kui Luo?" 

Anybody else would have fallen into such a well thought out trap and yet Xu Qing chuckled softly saying coldly.

"I won't accept killing him. I did not kill him."

The ying yang ancestor went pale instantly. He had almost thought that his threat was enough to make Xu Qing accept the deduced karma, and yet the boy denied it without thinking twice. 

If Xu Qing had accepted, the ying yang ancestor would have likely mended his ying yang power that had been destroyed by the backlash earlier. But even with that, Xu Qing did not still accept killing Kui Luo and now, his ying yang cultivation was practically almost gone… it would take a lot of time to heal which is a very bad drawback.

Ying yang is actually the most potent power that the ying yang ancestor had cultivated, so when he temporarily lost it, his cultivation dropped as he lost almost eighty percent of his divinity.

"Why won't you accept it?" 

"Because I didn't kill him…"

Xu Qing was swearing to be righteous despite being the killer himself…how ironic.

The ying yang ancestor still had just enough strength to crush Xu Qing despite his crumbling yin and yang power, but since the young man refused to accept killing Kui Luo, he wouldn't continue to bet his yin yang on him…knowing fully well that the moment Xu Qing accepts it, his yin yang power would not only heal instantly, but it will spike…let's just say, the yin yang ancestor had met his match.

The man finally pulled himself back, his hands leaving Xu Qing's throat.

"How has your cultivation realm improved?"

Xu Qing did not beat around the bush… "Better, I will also be leaving the Sky beyond sect very soon so that I don't become torn in the flesh…" 

The ying yang ancestor was stumped, his gaze questioning why he was taking such law into his hand.

Xu Qing sighed.

"You almost killed me because of Kui Luo's death…I don't know the relationship between you two, but I could sense the emotions in you. I don't want a situation where someone dies and I'm being targeted for the person's death."

Meanwhile the ying yang ancestor didn't care about the last sentence Xu Qing had just made, rather he remembered one man who could feel other people's emotions, invoke terrifying fear into souls, make one feel grief and sorrow.

This same person could invoke all kinds of emotions into someone and use it as a weapon.

Only the ancient god could accomplish such a feat. And here Xu Qing was telling him how he also felt the emotions that he, the yin and yang ancestor was currently feeling.

The man's eyes darkened slightly.

"You felt my emotions for yourself?"

Xu Qing was silent realising that he had unknowingly revealed one of the abilities the ancient god's sword had granted to him. So now, his next choice of words is what would actually save him from the yin yang ancestor, knowing that he and the ancient god had an awful past together.

But after thinking for a while, he came to a conclusion.

"I don't know…" 

The ying yang ancestor sighed sitting on the small chair that Xu Qing had put up in front of his home.

"The ancient god was terrifying 600 years ago, when he attacked our Sky Beyond sect, he was almost undefeatable. No one could tell his Cultivation realm, he could even put insidious emotions into our souls…inflicting fear, grief and pain that we all know nothing about…" 

Xu Qing's eyes widened.

The ying yang ancestor smiled as a terrifying outburst of yin yang circled them.

At first, Xu Qing felt an indescribable apprehension, but later he settled the fear in his heart, showing the ancestor his fearlessness.

The man smiled darkly.

"I am taking you into six hundred years in the past so that you can witness the ancient god's absolute power for yourself."

At this moment, the yin yang energy around them became so concentrated that it was impossible to sense his surroundings again. It was at that moment the true intention of the yin yang ancestor came to light…

He wanted Xu Qing to experience the horror and also die in it because, whatever happens from now onwards will become reality…

Xu Qing grew angry.

"Ancestor!"

"Ancestor ying yang!"

He grounded his teeth in anger as the man's figure became almost inconceivable and intangible. Then he was finally left alone inside a whirlpool of yin yang until it completely dissipated.

Xu Qing looked at the sky and then around him… the Sky beyond sect was the same, nothing really changed even six hundred years in the past.

But the fact that he would be witnessing the ancient god attacking the sky beyond sect with terrifying power was already so stifling. 

And yet, he wanted to see it.

"And I thought the yin yang ancestor did not have much yin yang energy left. How had he teleported me to the past?"

Apart from the fact that yin yang had a flaw, the power was dreadful.

The first thing Xu Qing checked is, everyone's cultivation realm.

And when he checked, his face was drained of all color. No one went beyond the realm of sky, which implies that there were no universe or Precelestial realm cultivators back then in sky beyond sect.

Xu Qing immediately checked his cultivation realm to see if it was a system glitch back then, 600 years ago and to his horror… his power had been sealed by something unknown. Maybe a law that was yet to be usurped and broken by someone more powerful.

His anger mounted…and the ying yang ancestor became his target after he survived this apocalypse.

The worst part is that the ancient god's sword could not be summoned, due to the fact that there was a similar one already in existence. However…

Xu Qing realized something.

His soul, bound to the ancient god's sword, was never severed. 

At least, that was something to look forward to.
