Chapter 1. Andara Hazel

"Hahaha feel it! See how fun it is to see that pretentious face covered in blood!" exclaimed an unknown figure to Andara Hazel.

The man whose body was being sliced into irregular pieces to expel internal organs dangled onto the operating bed.

There was no anesthesia to ease the pain, it was a heinous and inhumane act.

"Isn't this enough?" exclaimed someone who couldn't bear to see Andara's helpless condition.

And that compassion is met with a glare because it feels like the fun has been interrupted.

A few seconds of probing eyes turned around.

"You better shut up! Or I'll sew you up with this thread!" snapped A man wearing glasses showed the thread in his hand.

No face could be seen clearly because it was tightly covered with an all-green outfit with a mask and head covering. Only two eyeballs were visible.

"That's right! If you really can't bear it, just get out of here! I don't want to lose my hard-earned title!"

"This boy already has evidence to report our actions! I don't want to go to jail!" someone added. Calling a boy was actually inappropriate for an adult male of Andara's age. Since she was 24 years old, the nickname was indeed thrown by someone much older than Andara.

Even though Andara tried to open her eyes but as an ordinary human power. There was nothing he could do anymore. Her eyes ran out of energy and began to close. And Andara finally breathed her last.

****

[Beep! Program connected! accept process to run!]

A command that sounded in the subconscious. Andara still closed his eyes. It was as if the voice became an evocation for his.

[Pip! Energy charging! Full power]

Andara slowly opened his eyes, and sat up instantly.

Feeling the hard bedding made of pure iron. Andara was even more surprised when his felt face. Especially when the many muscles in his wrists protruded like they were going to come out of his skin.

"Why did my body suddenly change?"

"What's going on?" He scolded herself.

Until finally he saw his figure through the reflection of a small, long-shaped glass adorning the operating room.

"Gosh why is my face different?"

Andara was surprised to see the image of herself that had completely changed into another person.

And suddenly.

"Good morning Agent 123!" greeted a middle-aged man in a white suit coming through the glass door.

Andara saw that there was a small room like an elevator that was used as a conduit to each room. Because there was a room that seemed to move up and down. There were even many rooms of the same type.

Even after Andara regained consciousness, his eyes were able to clearly see the translucent glass-filled room where he was now confined.

"My name is Andara, not Agent 123!"

Andara repeated the words directed at his because there was no one else in this room but his.

The laughter was clearly etched on the man's lips.

"Introduce me! My name is Doctor Jonson!"

"Ah, you need to know! As of today you are no longer an Andara, Agent 123!"

The subtle yet firm voice seemed to be signaling that it was not to be resisted. And strangely Andara obeyed without putting up any resistance.

And suddenly a new figure came out through the same door.

"Doctor Jonson! How is it?" the woman asked. Andara was slightly amazed at Amaya's beauty. The girl with blonde hair and brown eyeballs wearing all black clothes was talking to Doctor Jonson.

"What's up Agent 215?"

Another name given to Amaya by Mr. Jonson. Andara continued to stare at Amaya with no intention of looking away.

"Ah, no, he's awake!"

Amaya came here to see how Andara was doing. Because she was the one who found the boy lying on the side of the road with almost left the world because it only left a weak pulse.

But after she found out that the figure was sitting and even paying attention to her as the center of attention. Amaya realized Andara's condition was much better.

"Ah, you're worried about Agent 123!"

"Well Agent 215 since you happen to be here, please take Agent 123 to see the building... it looks like he needs some enlightenment!" pleaded Doctor Jonson then left them, going first to leave the room.

"My name is Amaya, but Mr. Jonson gave me the name Agent 215!"

Amaya clearly walked towards the box-shaped room, until her hand reached for a shirt that matched her own color.

Then she tossed it away,

"Srakk!"

"Strange" Andar exclaimed as his hand deftly caught the clothes with great ease.

"You, quickly change your clothes!"

Again Andara without hesitation did the girl's bidding, putting on clothes.

"Come on! We'd better get out now! I'll introduce this side of the building to you!"

Amaya went out first, so Andara followed behind.

But Andara saw something black like a keypad stuck to Amaya's neck.

"Don't look at me like that, because you're the same way!" Amaya said.

It was easy to read someone's mind because they had been programmed by Doctor Jonson.

Less than a hundred meters away from them, Andara widened his eyes to see the figure of his former body hanging from a walking pulley.

Feeling oddly closer, he brought his face closer. Andara had to rub his eyes, hoping what he saw was wrong.

"It is indeed you, Agent 123!" said Amaya.

"But, if winning is me! Why am I still alive?"

It was God knows how many times Amaya had gotten the same question from a new Agent.

"Because it's just a useless piece of meat!"

A statement that made Andara even more clueless.

"What do you mean?" he asked for an explanation.

Amaya took out a small knife that was one of the weapons she always had in her pocket.

"Srakk."

She quickly tried to cut Andara.

But instead of drawing blood, the knife seemed to bend. A completely tasteless attack, not even leaving a scratch.

"You saw it yourself, didn't you?"

It turned out that Amaya was setting a real example for Andara. So the man was amazed.

"Great! but why don't I feel any sadness or other feelings?

Andara should have felt sad when she saw her body hanging there. But just a little surprised without feeling anything.

"Because our hearts have been replaced with machines! Even our brains are just a series of wires and microchips!" Amaya explained.

Andara finally examined the nape of his neck by feeling, his hand felt an object that was the same shape as Amaya's.

"So, what's going to happen next?" Andara asked curiously.

Until a sight that amazed his. Many people wearing the same clothes were passing by in a vast hall. Amaya stopped. Realizing her body was fenced in as protection.

"They are the Agents that Doctor Jonson has created! So, I hope you accept the call as Agent 123!"

"There's a reason why you're called that!"

Andara listened carefully without intending to interrupt. Listening to Amaya's explanation until the end.

"The meaning of 123 is"

"The number 1 is where you were found in January and 23 is where it is now 2023."

"And you are February 2nd, 2015?" interrupted Andara.

Since it was true, Amaya nodded her head.

"So, what was Doctor Jonson's reason for doing all this?" asked Andara.

Instead of answering, Amaya just wore a strange smile on her thin lips.
