Chapter 13; Young master???
last update2023-11-19 22:49:48

For a businessman like Mr Tules, he just couldn't keep control of himself and blurted out his thoughts right away.

"How much does such intelligence cost?" right after that, he felt like slapping himself.

He was very sure that with the kind of slyness that Blade had shown, he definitely wouldn't miss such an opportunity.

And sure enough, Blade was thinking deeply already.

So information could be traded also? Why did he not know all this while? Well, there has rarely been a golden collection appearing in the base since the last few years

“So there is such a thing?' Blade said in surprise as if he did not notice that it was a mistake.

Mr Tules instantly felt like someone was piercing his heart with a knife and twisting it. Why was this boy so annoying?

"The information that would be sold would be rated according to the value of my next disclosure" Blade picked his words carefully.

“So…what's your price?“ Mr Tules asked as he also sat down opposite Blade.

Immediately, assistant who was in the room brought a cup of tea and placed it in front of him.

Mr Tules picked the Tea cup and sipped it elegantly.

Blade raised an eyebrow as he thought that this gentleman looked absolutely refined with his skill in picking the tea cup and sipping the tea in it.

Observing Blade's silence, Mr Tules asked again

“Are you yet to make up your mind on the price?“

“You could tell us the information and get the value of the information you sell. I promise you that you wouldn't feel at any loss”

“No, no, actually I was thinking if your bottom line. I already have a price in mind but it depends on your willingness”

“What could it be?“ Mr Tules asked a bit impatiently. Why was this boy still trying to delay things?

“Okay, okay” Blade raised his hands in defeat with a light chuckle.

“My information is worth Five holy mags”

.“Pffft!“ A mouthful of tea came flying over the table.

Try as hard as he could, Blade could not dodge the incoming stream. He was shaken to the core! A middle or high tier superhuman!

Oh my God! Just a random spit could render him powerless and unable to move!

“Splash!!!“ The warm liquid drenched Blade's Battered and shredded body suit.

That wasn't even all, the impact of the tea felt like a stream of needles pricking his skin.

“What the heck do you need Five holy mags for??? Why don't you just go Rob the headquarters of the SAA?“ Mr Tules flared up.

“Even this division as a whole does not have up to Five holy mags in liquid cash.“

“Stop being greedy and accept reality! I'll give you Fifteen golden mags for your discovery, no more no less!“ Mr Tules decisively concluded.

His tone Brooked no form of defiance.

Blade smiled warmly and said, “Perfect! Mr Tules that's the deal I want! Now let's get down to privacy discussions “

Mr Tules looked at Blade speechlessly and for a moment felt as if he had jumped into a pit that had been dug for him.

"Fine! This discussion would be kept absolutely confidential" "Now tell me what else you discovered" Mr Tules asked hurriedly before Blade suffocates him.

"Don't be in such a hurry Mr Tules, let's first sign a confidentiality agreement with our identity cards" Blade proposed.

"Yes of course" Mr Tules blamed himself for forgetting such a simple thing as a professional businessman.

Very soon, a virtual agreement was brought up from the console on Mr Tule's Quantum watch and signed.

Then Mr Tules asked hurriedly "Hurry up where's the location?'

"Area B45 075SE and within 300 metres of a huge willow tree" Blade disclosed carefully.

"So what are your other discoveries?" Mr Tules asked impatiently. He looked just like a business man that couldn't wait to leave his boring job and oversee something much more interesting.

"I think I found the remains of a military base hidden deep underground" Blade said with seriousness.

Immediately he heard that, Mr Tules face changed drastically.

"How true is this?" He asked.

"At least 75% true Blade answered with conviction.

At once, Mr Tules seemed to have fallen into a world of his own.

His face was scrunched up and a heavy frown adorned his face.

Mr Tules took a deep breath and with his temperament changing drastically said, "Are you sure you know the implications of what you're doing Mr Blade?"

Blade frowned and asked "What kind of implications are you referring to?"

He was not sure what was happening, but he had the feeling that if the Mr Tules if before was a calm lake with light ripples on its surface, then the Mr Tules of the present was like an ancient beast that had finally awakened after years of rest.

Mr Tules stared right at Blade with his deep pools of black eyes as if wanting to see his soul.

Blade stared right back at him and after a few minutes of staring with signs of struggle evident on his face before seeming to accept reality, Mr Tules sighed and muttered,

"Maybe it's fate"

"Fate?" Blade's eyebrows rose up.

Honestly he was getting a little unconfortable with the strange attitude this middle aged man was giving him at first but after hearing what Mr Tules said inadvertently, he had a feeling that there was more to this than meets the eyebrows.

Sure enough Mr Tules said, "Young man you have made the right decision by turning those discoveries in on time and as a reward your name would be added to a column in the heroes hall"

Blade lept looking straight at Mr Tules, sure enough he expected this but not the heroes hall.

When Mr Tules saw Blade still looking at him, he snapped his fingers and instantly from a dark corner that Blade didn't notice, a dart shot out and struck the assistant at the back of the neck which immediately put her to sleep.

The poor lady never had a foundation in fighting at all, she was just a shackle breaker like Blade but was subdued as easily as a lamb.

Another mid-tier superhuman!

Blade was petrified and surprised at the turn of events. He immediately stood up and went on full alert. His super sensitive mode was on and he could feel every change in the environment around him.

Everything that happened now was so strange and fast that he couldn't process the load of information. He just couldn't put a finger on what just happened.

He kept looking at the corner where the dart shot out from but all he saw and felt was darkness.

"What is the meaning of this Mr Tules?" Blade asked warily with serious displeasure written over his face.

"Blade, son of Odion the first Quantum" Mr Tules said as he continued his next words slowly but lightly.

But it was those next words that shocked Blade so much that he froze momentarily and lost focus.

With a low bow, Mr Tules saluted and said "Welcome back young master"

Blade was lost for words, "Y..y..y..young ma..a.ster?"

Are you kidding me! Who actually still uses such words in these days?

How did he become a young master all of a sudden?

No it must be a trick to wear his guard down! Blade thought.

Mr Tules looked at the young man who was on full alert in front of him and nodded lightly in approval.

How many people could still stay calm and not panic in such a situation? This was a very good quality to have. As expected of the son of The Quantum.

Blade looked at Mr Tules and as calmly as possible spoke up, "Mr Tules….."

"Please call me Unfeeling haze" he interrupted.

The Polaris dome that covers the city also serves the city as a source of light which gives it a futuristic and sci-fi blue glow. That?“ Blade quickly realized that he had interrupted her many times during their conversation and he in turn always ended up with half baked answers. “I'm terribly sorry, I'll try not to do that once more.““Much better, I would be expecting that you do not stop me from continuing my speech” Imelda said with satisfaction while her eyes curved up llike crescent moons which dictated some sort of happy triumph within. “Currently, I'm considered a Grade Four guardian in my clan and…” Imelda stared sharply at Blade before growling in frustration “No! no! no you won't!
