Chapter 4: Finally, Reward here I come!

After breathing heavily for a while, Blade began to adjust his body to It's optimum condition so it could begin it's regenerative phase on time.

Regenerative abilities deferred on the Grade of superhuman.

Ordinary mortals regenerative abilities were a bit slow compared to the lowest grade of Superhumans.

If it took about, 3-5 days to heal a wound for an ordinary mortal, it generally took about 2-3 days for a class I Shackle breaker like him to regenerate and if he treated his wounds on time, they would begin to form scabs within the next 24 hours which was a day after.

So he first of all adjusted his body's conditions and treated all open wounds. He quickly opened a medicine pouch from his side and took a 10% booster. This was used to increase the rate of metabolism in the cells and enable them to produce more cells at a faster rate.

As he began to stand, he felt sharp pains coming from all over his body but he ignored it and looked around for his blade. When he saw it's state, he was shocked! So the body of a Grade 3 beast could be this strong?

It actually damaged his Blade thoroughly. He almost couldn't recognise his weapon any longer.

His blade had a lot of chips on it and was already bent at it's tip. Looking at the interweaving cracks on the blade, he doubted it could do any more harsh work.

He picked it up and tried it on the Grade 3 corpse on the floor and just as expected, it crumbled at first touch.

What was he going to use to process this beast into raw materials now? Yeah! To Blade, the corpse of a Grade 3 beast was actually full of treasures. First, there was it's gall bladder, then fangs, Venom sack, scales and it's tendons. Those were delicious ingredients for soup!

But the most important thing now was to find a weapon or sharp object to do the job.

Ah! Yes, he had forgotten about his spear, although the gun was still in good condition, it was virtually impossible for it to go against a Grade 2 beast, tallk less a Grade 3.

Even his spear couldn't accompany him in such a fast paced battle. He wasn't a spear weilder and never trained in spear usage. He only knew how to use the basic spear thrusts that was all.

But when it came to blades, then he could roll with it. It was easier for him to weild blades than spears. Blades felt more natural to him and also much more closer.

That was why the blade was the only thing he could rely on at that time, but now, it was all different.

If he could use the spear to open up the body of the snake and get it's precious gall bladder. They should sell for a lot of money say 100-200 black Magnetic tokens

Even the fangs were materials for making weapons and should sell for about 90-120 black Magnetic tokens .

The scales... uh… those looked ruined already but would have been a beautiful artwork assuming it was intact.

'No time for regrets!' Blade composed himself and set to work dismembering the body of the snake.

He especially cleaned the tendons and kept them aside for cooking later on.

When he was done, he looked like someone painted all round in black. That was strange…. Why was the snake's blood even black in the first place?

Blade didn't have time to think about it before packing the remnants of the corpse and moving it somewhere far a way after which he dug a hole and buried it.

If other lower grade beasts find out about the disappearance of a Grade 3, there would be a massive competition over the fight for dominance and he didn't want to be involved in it.

Although, it was the best thing one could wish for if he were stronger as there would be so many materials left after the huge fight. Claws, fangs, scales, shells, even tendons and so many others.

Those could go for a lot of money but he couldn't bear the risk right now.

But first, his priority was to loot this place and leave before anything unusual happens.

Bam!

Blade dropped the package of spoils he had gotten from the snake's corpse in front of the snake's den and admired the wreck before him.

The car was a bit mashed up at the front but the rear view made his heart and blood begin to speed up and boil.

This was it!!!

He wasn't seeing an illusion, this was the real deal. The egg in the car could sell for a fairly good amount, while the car itself...

It should go for……. let's say………he started calculating and then he looked at the piece of car wreck in front of him again before letting out a bright smile. This car alone would cost about 10 Golden Magnetic tokens !. The reason it was Golden Magnetic tokens was because he was sure this car wreck was a golden collection and golden collections were paid in Golden Magnetic tokens .

Damn that was a huge deal for him and just so you know, 1000 black Magnetic tokens was equal to about 100 crimson Magnetic tokens which was equal to about 10 Golden Magnetic tokens .

But normally, no one would change their higher currency for a lower one unless they really needed lower currency.

Why was this so?

This was because Golden Magnetic tokens had a better purchasing power than Crimson or Black Magnetic tokens .

Therefore, 10 Golden Magnetic tokens was a massive haul for the current Blade. This was enough to increase his standard of living by at least 30% for a year.

He could even get an upgrade of at least two of his equipments now. Especially his body suit, the one currently on him was the third version of the AMAGX003 series and that was already worn and battered. Especially with the previous fight, it was at the point of collapse right now.

They entered into a bar that was fully automated. Just from the sign outside, you'd know that it was a fairly simple bar. The space inside the bar was rather large in comparison to it's appearance ffrom the outside which was highly unusual.Looking around in shock, Blade paused for a bit before asking excitedly, “Is this, is this…”With a feeling of pride, the ill tempered guy puffed his chest and replied to Blade's unspoken question. “Yes, it is. This is sace bending technology in its early stages. The more advanced type can actually fold a space of over five times the actual size of this place.““My God! I thought the alliance said that space bending technology wasn't developed yet?“ Blade said incredulously.“You don't expect the alliance to tell you some of the information it calls classified right? But still, that's why most of you first timers are always so shocked and curious about everything here. You guys behave pretty much like country bimpkins down here and it isn't that har

Walking down the now-filled streets of Blood Moon district, Blade felt much better after what Imelda had previously done. If she was going to be making fun of him whenever they were together then f**k it. Honestly, it looked a bit hilarious when he thought back on it, but right now? He felt like sh*t. Picking a random direction, he decided to observe the various shops in passing. The magnetic ornaments on the other streets were noticeably clustered and numerous. Hovering holographic reindeer, and magnetic orbs emitting a soft, colorful glow. Each ornament seemed to defy gravity, suspended in mid-air.Some restaurants served different Grades of superhuman delicacies and hotels catered to the needs of starved females of this era. Some females who couldn't find a guy to get down with flocked to different hotels and clubs to satisfy their needs. They were not that much down here though. It was said that the Blood Moon district had the highest amount of strippers in the entire Underground

The air was filled with the scent of freshly fallen snow, and colorful holographic snowflakes danced around the street lamps. Levitating ornaments hung from the buildings, creating a mesmerizing display to every newcomer like Blade as they hovered in mid-air. When they got outside, they hailed a maglev air car that lifted off in the direction of the Aeromag transit hubs. While staring out the window, with Imelda beside him, Blade broke the silence, “This city looks very beautiful, with the mix of technology and its unique culture. The Polaris dome that covers the city also serves the city as a source of light which gives it a futuristic and sci-fi blue glow. Overall, it's a place to escape from the harsh realities of the surface”“Unfortunately, this is just one of the bases of people who get transferred in and out to complete dangerous missions. Most of them do not even have the time to enjoy this luxury like a King would. Rather, it is meant to facilitate the convenience of these workaholic agents” Imelda explained.“Most of the outfits help to reduce the stress that intelligence collecting brings. Some of them have various emergency measures that could even stop the assaults of Grade Five existences”Nodding in affirmation, Blade continu

While Blade was still ruminating on the consequences of what he just learned and understood about this world, his father and his goals, Imelda's voice broke his train of thoughts.“You keep interrupting me before I can finish my answers why is it that you can't wait for my complete explanation?““Oh! That?“ Blade quickly realized that he had interrupted her many times during their conversation and he in turn always ended up with half baked answers. “I'm terribly sorry, I'll try not to do that once more.““Much better, I would be expecting that you do not stop me from continuing my speech” Imelda said with satisfaction while her eyes curved up llike crescent moons which dictated some sort of happy triumph within. “Currently, I'm considered a Grade Four guardian in my clan and…” Imelda stared sharply at Blade before growling in frustration “No! no! no you won't! Don't you dare interrupt me until I signify that I'm done!” Imelda felt a bit frustrated when she noticed Blade shifting unco

I have every reason to believe that everything was arranged because I was also sent to get something from that underground tunnel” Instead of continuing with her sentennce, she diverged a bit.“I guessed as much because there is just a one percent chance of meeting your kind out there” Blade spoke.“I heard about Degoserinds but I know that they are rarely seen.
