The heavy hydraulic blast doors groaned as they slid fully into the concrete walls, revealing the expansive subterranean fortress beneath the Northport Military Supply Depot. Unlike the frozen wasteland above, the underground air here was still and preserved, held in a state of suspended animation by reinforced blast shielding and emergency battery banks.

Row upon row of heavy steel weapons racks stretched into the dim shadows of the main storage bay. Standard-issue automatic assault rifles, high-caliber sniper systems, crates of armor-piercing ammunition, anti-material rocket launchers, and tactical armor vests lined the walls in immaculate condition.

Parked along the far wall were three massive, heavy-duty armored snow crawlers equipped with reinforced plow blades and dual-mounted thermal turrets.

Corporal Miller and the remaining soldiers gasped, their eyes wide as they stepped down the metal staircase.

"The entire central tactical reserve is intact."

Victoria murmured, walking up to a rack of heavy sniper rifles and running a gloved hand along the clean, oiled steel.

"With the surface grid down, this armory is worth more than a mountain of gold. Anyone controlling this equipment could dominate the entire sector."

Ethan walked to the center of the bay, raising his right hand.

"Then we take all of it."

With a flick of his wrist, his expanded 1,000-cubic-meter spatial storage opened like an invisible, vacuum seal over the warehouse.

WHOOSH!

In a matter of seconds, crate after crate of ammunition, entire racks of assault rifles, heavy explosives, and tactical gear vanished into thin air, organized neatly inside Ethan's zero-time spatial pocket. Even the massive armored snow crawlers vibrated before dissolving into bright blue light particles, vanishing into his inventory.

Miller and the soldiers stared in absolute, paralyzing shock. Though they had witnessed Ethan’s miraculous fire earlier, seeing a man single-handedly swallow a military depot's entire reserve into thin air was a display of power that bordered on godhood.

"A-All of it... it's just gone..."

Miller stammered, his knees shaking slightly as he looked at

Ethan with newfound, terrifying respect.

"In my domain, logistics will never be an issue.”

Ethan said calmly, turning to Victoria.

 "Are there any secondary sub-levels?"

"Only the central communications array on Level 2."

Victoria replied, pointing toward a secure steel door at the end of the walkway.

"It's connected to the high-altitude Central Broadcast Tower across town. If we can activate the signal relay here, we can establish a closed-circuit communication loop between our base and the rest of the city."

Before they could take a step toward the staircase, a sharp, static hiss echoed from the wall-mounted radio console near the security desk. The emergency frequency speaker flickered to life, carrying a coarse, iron-heavy voice that vibrated through the quiet bunker.

"...Repeat, Marcus. You say the kid has pure thermal power and clean water?"

Ethan raised a hand, signaling everyone to freeze. He stepped up to the console, leaning in as the intercepted radio transmission continued.

Marcus's voice cut through the static, high-pitched, panting, and thick with pathetic desperation.

"Yes, Warlord Boris! I swear on my life! Ethan Vance took the penthouse, but he's just a student playing with fire! He broke my knee, but he left for the military depot! If the Iron-Clad Syndicate strikes the depot now, you can catch him inside the subterranean bunker and crush him before he loads the weapons!"

A heavy, booming laugh answered through the static, the voice of Boris "The Ice-Breaker" Kogan, the ruthless regional warlord who controlled the northern industrial rail yards.

"If he has thermal power, his core will make a fine power source for my geothermal drills."

Boris growled, his tone dripping with sadistic confidence.

"Marcus, you and your women stay at the perimeter checkpoint. My Vanguard Strike Team is already halfway across the district in the heavy tread-crawlers. We'll seal that depot's blast doors from the outside and turn that bunker into his concrete coffin."

CLICK.

The transmission cut out into white noise.

Inside the subterranean room, Corporal Miller’s face drained of all color.

"Warlord Boris... his Iron-Clad Syndicate has over two hundred armed mercenaries and heavy industrial machinery! If they seal those blast doors from above, we'll be buried alive!"

Victoria’s icy-blue eyes narrowed into cold, lethal blades. She drew her combat sidearm, stepping up beside Ethan.

"Boris is a tyrant who slaughters survivor camps for coal and fuel. We can't let him lock us down here. We need to fight our way out to the surface before his heavy tread-crawlers arrive."

Ethan stood by the radio console, his expression completely unbothered. He pulled a fresh, warm apple from his spatial storage, taking a quiet, crisp bite as a dark, dangerous smile touched his lips.

"Why run?"

Ethan asked softly.

Victoria blinked, caught off guard.

"Ethan, they're bringing heavy tread-crawlers and over fifty armed mercenaries to enclose the perimeter. A frontal clash in an open courtyard is disadvantageous, even with our skills."

"They think we're trapped inside a cage."

Ethan said, his golden-orange thermal aura flaring softly around his frame.

"They don't know I have a thousand cubic meters of heavy artillery, three armored snow crawlers, and a fused elemental strike that can vaporize a steel tank."

He turned to Victoria, his voice laced with absolute dominance.

"Let them come. Marcus brought the entire Iron-Clad Syndicate right to our doorstep. It saves us the trouble of hunting them down through the storm."

Ethan reached into his spatial interface, pulling out two heavy anti-material sniper rifles and three sets of tactical thermal armor, tossing them to Victoria and her men.

"Victoria, take your squad and secure the high-ground vantage points on the warehouse roof."

Ethan commanded, his dark eyes glowing with a terrifying, predator-like focus.

"Set up the anti-material rifles. When Boris's strike team breaches the outer gate, don't fire until I give the word."

Victoria caught the heavy sniper rifle, feeling the cold, pristine weight of the military weapon in her hands. She looked at Ethan, her heart swelling with an intense, unshakeable confidence.

"Understood, Commander."

Victoria said, saluting him sharply before turning to her men.

"Move out! High ground, double time!"

Ethan walked slowly back toward the metal staircase leading to the surface courtyard.

Outside, through the heavy concrete walls, the low, mechanical rumble of heavy diesel engines began to vibrate through the frozen earth, announcing the arrival of Warlord Boris's Vanguard Strike Team.

Ethan snapped his fingers, a dancing flame flickering over his palm as his System minimap highlighted forty enemy signatures closing in on the depot gates.

"Time to welcome our guests."

Ethan whispered into the freezing air.

He carried a heavy anti-tank rocket launcher slung over his shoulder, his gray eyes scanning the quiet, snow-dusted courtyard with sadistic pleasure.Behind the lead crawler, crouching near the smashed iron gates, were Marcus Vance, Laura Ste

Where the creature’s corrosive saliva dripped onto the ground, armored steel plating dissolved into bubbling slush.Corporal Miller scrambled backward in absolute panic, clawing at the mud as he screamed. "It’s a subterranean threat! The rifles won't do anything! Run!"Victoria’s instincts kicked in instantly. Even with her energy restored by the System bond, the sheer size of the beast made her breath catch. "Ethan, stand back!
