Primal Language

After that day, Arkan could not think of anything but that scroll. The fact that his intuition was not helping him at this point made him grumpy and now he even felt hungrier than he used to.

After thinking for a while, he was sure that it was because of the fact that there were only dotes on that scroll with no real words written and he was even contemplating that it was meant for blind people.

What turned his emotions into turmoil though was what Draka had told him after showing him it and going on a teaching spree that came out of nowhere.

"This is the base of every cultivation for every Primal turned into a body language. In the Abyss Age, a time when demons walked every continent beside humans, the Old Primordials had to find a way to introduce cultivation to any human with the aptitude to cultivate."

Draka said and Arkan was happy that he had been born in this age. He was sure that he would have died in those days for sure. Draka continued.

"This was because they were losing the war between them and the demons. So, they studied how Mana flowed in each and every living thing and none living. Back then, only those who had the aptitude of more than 2.5 out of 5 could cultivate but also were so gifted that they invented their own cultivation techniques and spells."

Arkan was sure that this was because of the war. Anyone who lives in a war zone will develop skillsets to survive in that world. He and Alex were the evidence of that.

"They were able to find out that the difference between a Primal and a normal human was their mana pathways."

Draka said as he pointed to his skin as though those mana pathways started there.

"There are little pores in every being and these pores are what draw mana into our bodies. To a normal being, once that mana enters the body, it just leaves the body through the same pores. This is how every human can manipulate mana to some extent but cannot use spells unless they learn to cultivate. This is because they do not impose their will in that mana."

At this point, Arkan was asking himself why Draka was telling only a month-year-old this, but then again he guessed the middle aged looking man had been bored all these years, and talking to someone, even a baby was a change of pace for him.

Well, he was also drinking something that even Arkan could tell that is was potent.

"It so happens that those at that time who were able to get into a state of dip meditation were able to feel the mana coming in and out of their bodies. Once that happened, it got easier and easier to return to that state again, but also able to move that mana around their bodies and once that happened something both terrifying and amazing happened. Well, when that happens your body will trigger your mana pathways to open up."

Draka said as he took another drink. At this point, Arkan was thinking he was in class. The only problem was that he was tired again and could not help but want to sleep.

He couldn't sleep. This was information some got when they were old enough to go to school, let alone 5 or 6-year-olds. It was hard for him to see them learning such things before basic knowledge and so he had to hear him through.

He forced himself for the first time to stay awake and as he did, he could feel his intuition gaining a drop of growth.

"The blockage that blocked each and every person's mana pathways opens up and comes out from every pore in your body. We call it cleansing. It is like dark filth that is like tar and smells even worse than your poop."

Draka almost vomited at the thought of Arkan's nuclear bombs that he would drop now and then. This made Arkan smile. At least he had something to torture him with.

"Anyways, once your mana pathways open up, your pores are no longer normal pores. This is because unlike before where each is responsible for taking in and out mana, once you are able to survive the cleansing some will be responsible for taking in mana while others for taking it out of your body."

It seemed that they were getting into the juicy stuff as Arkan's tiredness somehow also left him. He did not know if it was the fact that the process Draka was describing could kill you or was something else.

"Your pores are now called Spell nods and every single one of them will be connected to your mana pathways which are just like your nervous system but all leading to where your core will be which at this point it is naturally being formed by the compassion of the mana that enters that empty space but only a small fraction of it while the rest escapes.."

Arkan was shocked that they knew of the nervous system in this world. He listened as Draka continued as he was starting to understand most of what he was saying.

"Now you have will over mana, but only the one that enters your empty core space at this point. I have already said that many die while their body is removing the blockage, but these tends to be those who are of a lower aptitude. That is because their minds cannot learn fast enough and help the body process out the blockage."

Just as Arkan wished Draka to tell him about this aptitude stuff, he surprised him as it was like he was reading his mind as he answered that very question that was in his mind.

"Aptitude is the ability to comprehend everything and how fast you can process it together with the ability to memorize each of those things. This directly impacts how fast you can develop your core in each circle and how many spells you can learn. It is a scale out of 5. So those who have an aptitude of less than 2.5 would have a hard time learning which is why they also die during their first cleansing or even cripple them when completing their cores and breaking through to the next circle."

After what Draka said, Arkan was hoping he was not dumb.

'The child of a Guardian wouldn't be dumb right.'

He asked while hoping with all his being.

"You become a Primal once your core develops. This can happen on its own at this stage without you needing to meditate or having a cultivating technique but it will take years. Even if you have an aptitude of 5 out of 5 it would take at least 20 years, which is why cultivation techniques are important."

Draka said and at this point, Arkan was sure that he was tipsy. He was holding him and playing with him by pretending he was flying. This made the question of why Draka was using no spell to at least make him fly encore in Arkan's head. He really wanted to see a spell or two.

"This is where we come back to the Primal Language. What I showed you is the most primal of the Primal Language as it is the language of your own body. It is what even low-ranked Primal families would fight for."

Draka said and even though Arkan was being thrown up and down like he weighed less than air he was confused, but now knew that it was a small treasure if cultivating families would fight for it.

"You just need to place it on any part of a normal person's body and it will trigger the person's cleansing. Even if that person has an aptitude of only 1, they will not die as that person's body gains the knowledge of how to expel or cleanse itself safely. That person would even move up a level in his aptitude if lucky which is something only extreme measures are able to achieve."

Arkan was now sure that this was a true treasure.

"Others will have to depend on luck if they want to become a Primal, but achieving the state of meditation that is needed for you to see the mana in your body takes a minimum of 7 years for children with the fastest being 3. This also depends on your aptitude but we can only measure a person's aptitude after they unblock their mana pathways."

'Seems like it's a cruel world out there. If you want power you have to risk your life from the very first stages and it looks like that is just the start of it.'

Arkan thought.

"It's either that or having a Mythical Primal which is a Third Circle Primal guard you safely in unblocking your pathways with the success of not dying increasing as the Primal that is helping you if they are of a higher circle of power. There are resources to help those who want to start cultivating, but while they are not expensive for a cultivator, they can cost a fortune for anyone who doesn't cultivate. Those who give them to normal humans are those of the same families or those who invest in that person successfully becoming a Primal and would mostly lightly serve under that investor for some time before they let them go"

Draka said as he put Arkan down.

"The scroll also helps you in learning the Primal Language for spells and cultivating, giving you a bigger start than those with very high aptitudes. It is called the Primal Body Scroll and it is impossible to comprehend for those even in the Sixth Circle of Power."

He said as he looked at Arkan who was now comprehending if Draka was going to give him such a treasure but he said something that he had forgotten throughout Draka's strange learning session for a month-year-old baby.

"It is too bad for you though. As much as I would want you to have it, your body somehow denies mana, Infect, it is like it hates it with fury. I am fascinated at how you will grow and what kind of power you will wield."

Draka said as he went back to his secret door.

Arkan was in turmoil. He had just lost such a treasure just like that. One thing that he was sure about though was that he would never regret his decision not to be able to wield mana.

'I'll find a way.'

He said to himself as he again went into everything Draka had said to him that day, trying to find anything that would help him.
