Chapter 5

Blake just stared at Atarah who was enjoying the Jatropha.

 "Don't you want to eat?" She asked while chewing, because he was currently sitting on the grass while Blake's shoe seemed to be stuck to where he was standing.

 "I'll just reach for an apple in a moment," he said, causing Atarah to frown in wonder.

 "Apples?" Atarah asked but Blake ignored her and walked towards the apple tree. He reached for five apple while Atarah watched him in surprise.

 After Blake reached he immediately returned to where Atarah was sitting and he also sat next to her.

 "Try it, it's delicious, I promise," he said, and handed the apple to Atarah, who looked at it hesitantly.

 "But..." Blake took her left wrist and placed the apple in Atarah's hand.

 "Eating that," Blake said, showing her to take a bite to believe that Blake wasn't fooling her

 "Come on," Blake insisted. Atarah couldn't do anything if he didn't bite for a few minutes and quickly threw up that food.

 "What's the problem?" Blake asked worriedly but Atraha couldn't answer him because she was still wiping her mouth.

 "I don't like, it's tasteless." Blake wondered because their apple was sweet and delicious there.

 "No taste? But it's sweet," Blake asked. Atarah just shook her head.

 "It's up to you," he said, leaving Atarah finish her food.

 "Aren't you going to taste it?" Atarah suddenly asked. She went back to what she was eating. Blake quickly shook his head because of this.

 "Why?" She asked.

 "That was poison to us. When I ate it, I was dead in less than an hour," said Blake. Atarah worriedly looked at what he was eating before turning his gaze back to Blake.

 "Poison? It's really different from you," said Atarah, after saying that she went back to eating.

 "Wait a minute, what are you eating here?" Blake asked him.

 "Hmm? I don't know the name of what we eat here but we only eat fruit, we don't eat any animal meat here because it is forbidden and all animals live here equally," said Atarah. Blake nodded because he understood immediately

 The two of them were silent. Blake didn't ask anymore and just focused on their food, but after a while, Atarah suddenly spoke while touching him

 "Blake what am I going to do here? Your phone sound weird," Atarah said suddenly.

 "Sounds weird?" he asked. Blake was wondering how that cell phone of his got to Atarah when he took it from the girl earlier.

 He just ignored it and focused his attention on his cellphone that was currently ringing.

 "Bro, why didn't you come in?" Jaz said on the other line.

 "I'm still busy, I'm not sure when I come to school, I just borrow your lecture." Blake said, Atarah was looking at him dumbfounded because he couldn't understand what the young man was saying.

 "Okay, but Trixie is really annoyed with you," he said.

 "I'll talk to her when I come back, by the way I'll hang up now." Blake said. He didn't wait for Jaz to answer, he immediately hung up on her as he handed the cellphone back to Atarah before he ate again.

 Blake noticed that Atarah wasn't eating anymore, instead she was busy playing on his cellphone so he immediately asked her.

 "You're done?" He asked. Atarah looked up at him with a nod.

 "Mn," before looking back at the cellphone.

 "Let's go," said Atarah and they stood up together after that they started walking again.

 "You might trip there," Blake said, as they walked he pulled Atarah closer to him because the direction he was going was changing, he was disappearing right on the road.

 Atarah was surprised by Blake's behavior, when he realize what his action Blake slowly removed his hand.

 "Ahh what, don't use that while walking because you might stumble," he said, looking away, when he looked back at the girl he was suddenly stunned when she suddenly smiled very sweetly. 

 At that time Blake wanted to look away but his body didn't want to follow his brain.

 He were brought back to his senses when Atarah suddenly punched him jokingly in the arm, even though it wasn't that strong, he almost fell because of the girl's strange strength.

 "Thank you bro," she said while smiling.

 "Bro?" Blake asked in surprise, because of suddenly calling him that, he knew that word was unfamiliar to the girl, so he was even more surprised.

 "Isn't that what your friends call you? I'm your friend, right? That's why I'm call you that," he said enthusiastically. Blake was mysteriously staring at her. 'hahaha what?'

 "Hahahaha okay bro, I'll get the cellphone first so you can walk properly," said Blake. Atarah frowned but she didn't do anything but give Blake back his cellphone.

 They continued walking again, while Blake asked again.

 "Tell me a story," he suddenly asked for a topic because he was bored and Atarah wouldn't really talk, so the person had to make the first move to talk to her before she could speak.

 "What shall I tell you?" She asked, still looking at the road.

 "About you..."

 "Hmmm, you can't tell me?" he said. Blake didn't force her to talk about her because she knew it was difficult for someone to talk about their own experiences especially when they were uncomfortable.

 "What about you?" She asked back.

 "Me? There's nothing to tell, my life is boring." Blake wasn't lying because since he was young, no one has done the best thing in his life, in his belief.

 "Is there something like that? They say everyone has a story.....I do have a story but I can't tell it." Blake didn't answer because he was struck by what Atarah said.

Blake keep his silent and Atarah notice it

 "Ahhmm, just tell me about your wife," she asked energetically again.

 At first Blake wondered what Atarah was talking about but he immediately remembered what they had talked about in the yesterday

 "Ahhh...we've been together for a long time, that's why I appreciate her because she can fight for me but there are times when the two of us fight it's inevitable," said Blake. Atarah looked at him smiling.

Atarah will asked again this time this make Blake got stunned. "Do you have a child???"

 "WHAT??!!"

 "She's your wife, isn't she? That means you have a child," she said. Blake scratched his hair at what he heard from the girl

 He now regrets that he even asked the girl for help because she could only give him with a headache.

 "We don't have children yet, we're not allowed yet and we're still studying." He explained. Atarah stare at him, she couldn't help not to think how lovely Blake is, she really can tell how Blake love his girlfriend by seeing him like that, and it make her feel uncomfortable.

 "...." Atarah didn't answer but she walked away. Blake stared at the girl's back in surprise, asking her if I was the problem.

 "Hey wait for me" I chased after her. He was confuse why Zera act like that, suddenly left him behind after asking a question, he really find him strange.

 "You're as slow as walking," she said still walking on her own but Blake tried his best to follower her until they finally walk together.

 "Why did you speed up?" He asked confusely, he was about to grab Zera hand but he pull his hand back when he think it's not right to di it.

 "No!" She shouted. Blake got stunned, he stop from where he at and stared at her. 

A silence fill the whole surrounding but when Blake came to his sense he sigh. 

He was about to asked her what's the problem but suddenly the rain poured down.

 Without hesitation Blake quickly pulled her to the bottom of the tree, maybe because she would get wet and he didn't know why he was worried if he got or not.

Blake use his full strength when Atarah stay on her place, he couldn't even pull him

Blake pov

 I looked at him gently....

 "Are you ok? We're getting wet, come over there in the shade." I said, but she just shook her head. What really gotten into her? 

Woman...

 "What is your problem?" I asked this time my voice become even more louder, I nearly got irritated because he obviously didn't listening to me.

 "I'm just not jealous of your wife..." She said bowing. Her dress is already wet but I got stunned from what she said.

 "why?" I will asked while getting off my Jacket to civer her body even if it's already wet.

 "Because she has a husband as kind as you..... I hope there is a man like you where live here," she said. She look at me in the eyes but I couldn't look back. I stare at her face while the raindrop trailling in his face, she's still beatiful even her green hair is now in mess.

I shook my head to focus, I know it's wrong to say that she's beautiful but it's true. Trixie is pretty but this girl have an angelic face without make up she still look like a fairy.

 "Shhh, everyone has a hidden personality," I explained before oatting her head, I just want to cool her down.

 "But we are not human," she said. I can feel her voice was shuttering, I don't really understand how her mood change.

 "But you're still living, stop this we should go now, come on" I said. it's good now I can started pulling her, but suddenly the sun came out, because of that I stopped.

 I looked at her gently, she seemed to know that I would ask, so she nodded

 "Really? You did that? It's hard for you to get angry," I said widened my eyes, so that's the reason why it rain, because of her emotions?

 "Sorry..." She said

 I smiled at her.

 "How come we're already wet," I said

 "Give me your clothes quickly," she said and I backed away from what she said.

 It's not that easy for me to give him my clothes....

 "I'll dry it right?" She asked.

 "A-ahahahaha what's the matter..... don't.... let's go for a walk..... it will dry out soom." I ran away from what she was saying. It's make me feel embarrassed.

 "Alright, are you sure not to?" She said, I quickly nodded, then walked quickly.

 I am horrified by her speech, doesn't dhe know what she is saying....

 "You don't want to be left and now you're going to leave me," she said, while chasing me to walk.

 "Slow down as you walk..." I said. I was just walking like that when suddenly a huge snake passed in front of me

 I suddenly ran back, until I didn't realize it, I loss my balance

 "Ouch..." I was surprised when someone spoke at my bottom.

When I looked at that, my eyes suddenly grew in shock, then I quickly stood up.

 "Won't you help me?" She asked, then I realized, so I reached out my hand to her.

 "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," I said keep apologizing.

 "Did you run? You're heavy," she said. I was stunned suddenly..

 Yes it's my mistake why we got stumble at the ground together....

 "There's a snake there... passing by," I said panting. I don't know if my body's reaction was late.

 "Are you afraid of snakes?" She asked. I suddenly stood up straight.

 "No! I'm worried about you, It might bite you..." I lied before looking at the other side.

 "I'm far away from you so how can I be eaten? Maybe you're really scared hahahahaha," she laughed loudly, suddenly I looked at her while frowning.

 "It's up to you..." I said then walked again, but I stopped when I saw the snake in the distance, so I slowly backed away where I could be on near at her.

 "Why are you coming along now?" She asked, I faced her then held her hand.

 This makes me look gay, because that snake is derogatory to masculinity

 "What are you doing?" He asked. We stare at it other make me let go of her hand. Why di I do that?

 "The snake is still there," I said. She looked at me as if she's worried.

 It seems like this time she won't laugh at me anymore.

 "Come there first," she pointed to the tree then pulled me.

 I was just like a stone that pulled by her, because I can feel hand was so soft....

I was staring at his back while my jacket still covering her... I couldn't help not to think it really suit her.

 Sh*t! What's happening to me.......
