Chapter 1
The Second Chance
"Ronan, how many times do I have to say this? There’s no way I, Calista Sable, will ever fall for you, let alone marry you!"
At New Era City Plaza, the very heart of Thalara’s capital, a massive crowd had gathered, drawn by the spectacle.
There, at its center, stood a stunning young woman, barely in her early twenties, frowning as she looked down on a man with pure disdain.
Facing her was Ronan Crowne, heir to the ancient and mighty House Crowne. But at this moment, his expression was somehow distant.
“I’m sick of your pathetic performances,” Calista said coldly. “Do you really think cheap gifts and empty confessions will change how I feel?”
“How many times now? Two hundred and fourteen?” Her lips curved in mockery. “Are you desperate, or just addicted to humiliating yourself?”
Gasps and whispers rippled through the crowd.
“Oh my gosh... Calista the Beauty just crushed the Crowne heir again like he’s nothing!”
“Damm… Did she just say 214 confessions?!”
“Forget the confessions, look at that gift! Isn’t that the Vermilion Fang? A B-rank extraordinary weapon worth millions?!”
“Even Rank 7 grandmasters would kill for it! And she actually dares to reject something so valuable?!”
“Reject my ass! Didn’t you see how she grabbed it like it already belongs to her?”
“Ten years of chasing… 214 confessions... and gifts that priceless … Ronan must truly love her.”
“You call that love? Isn’t that ... stupidity?”
“Shhh! Keep your voice down!”
Every eye in the plaza was fixed on them, some envious, other jealous, all unwilling to look away.
And at the center of it all, Ronan Crowne stood frozen.
His gaze locked onto Calista, breath caught, mind scrambling.
Where ... was he?
Wasn’t he already dead?
Why was he seeing her again, young, beautiful, alive?!
But before he could think further, a sudden pain tore through his skull.
“...Tch, damm it…”
He clenched his teeth as his vision blurred.
As memories surged back, it hit him: he had been reborn, a full hundred years in the past!
He was Ronan Crowne, heir to a bloodline that had stood unbroken since the Great Cataclysm a thousand years ago.
His grandfather, Arthur Crowne, was a Martial Saint, the pinnacle of all ranks on Planet Arken.
His father, Lucas Crowne, a Rank 9 Elder Archmaster, just one step below.
House Crowne had never known defeat.
Until him.
He, the so-called prodigy, had thrown away his pride and dignity to grovel before a woman.
Calista Sable.
And yet, in truth, measured against him, she was nothing.
Her talent was a mere flicker besides his flame.
Her family, the Sables, were newly risen nobles, barely maintaining their status.
Without Ronan’s devotion to Calista, and without House Crowne’s backing, the Sables would have collapsed years ago.
Yet despite feeding on Ronan and Crowne power for so long, they carried themselves with unearned arrogance, stringing him along as if his support were their due.
Year after year, they drained Crowne resources while Calista toyed with his feelings.
Behind his back, they even used his support to elevate another man, Lucien Cross, the so-called Chosen One.
And with Lucien’s rise, the Sables climbed to second place in planetary power.
And House Crowne?
It was destroyed!
Brought down by the very woman Ronan had loved and supported, by the Sable family, and by Lucien Cross standing behind them.
Worse still, they had the audacity to call it justice, branding House Crowne as traitors, corrupt and evil.
How ironic!
What a grotesque reversal of truth!
For centuries, the Crownes had defended World Arken.
Every Martial Saint of his lineage had died for this world and its people.
Yet in the end, his grandfather and father fell at the hands of the Sables and Lucien Cross—
And the masses applauded, unaware of the truth.
Ronan alone survived, carrying a century of guilt.
And now...
Here he stood.
Back at the plaza.
Back where it had all begun.
His gaze fell on the weapon case still clutched in Calista’s hands.
So… he had truly returned.
Back to his 214th confession.
Was this redemption?
Or a final test?
Either way, he wouldn’t repeat the same mistakes.
This time, Calista Sable and Lucien Cross would not destroy House Crowne.
He would be the one writing their end!

You drag simple story for too long! It's like every negative chatacter can not be killed or so! The story is too one dimensional! The same characters do not get karma! And like an endless cycle it continued! Although the protagonist gets stronger, so the antogonists. Frustrating story to continue!
